Half-Earth Socialism

this game is communists saying "agree with me completely or I will break into your house and beat you to death." my best playthrough im pretty sure 90% of humanity died and thats the only reason they didnt mob me, its slow, its repetitive, its a blatant lie, i cant transition to regenerative agriculture in any timely matter, bio dome 3 has no worthwhile continuing tech tree, algae bio reactors are evil, all fossil fuels are evil, making people hate you is meta, if you arnt a vegan misandrist and antinatalist the game dev wants you dead. its not just blatant propaganda its counterproductive blatant propaganda.

Game is completely balanced around being communist propaganda. Every single thing is completely ridiculous, and playing it is actually quite strongly like a fever dream. None of this stuff would work the way the game indicates it would, quite literally everything is completely incorrect in terms of what the consequences for decisions would be. Reminds me of a satirical game where the entire point is that none of the decisions do what you would expect them to, except the game tells you what the author evidently expects it to. Honestly, was pretty sure this was satirical at first. An argument could be made for playing it just for the humour of how ridiculous it is.

It's alright. scrolling through the cards is a bit janky, but it's fun for a couple runs.

Okay...so youll cycle through the same filler text over and over because if you get more than 4 turns you.re better than me. Sure...mass transit ... hydrogen, birth control ... are great for the planet but if you aren't kn0ocked out by never getting hardly any support in parliament ( it seems you earn a new minor ally every turn .. still no political capital) then you die from no political capital. Careful ... if you spend it all...which is easy cause mass transit reform is like 15 yrs to implement. If you save PC then the people will kill ya around the 4th turn because you didnt use your PC to do more than save the planet. Its just a loop ... with a crap ton of filler conversation that has no use...so you just rage click ok o get past the convo ... sentence after sentance.

Great game, fairly well researched, and it was more difficult than I expected, but I really enjoyed it.

actually really cool and i wish this genre had more games...

I like that everything is clickable so if you have questions, it's easy to find the answers. Overall, the game is educational in that there is a lot of reading involved as well as resource management and diplomacy. The drawback is that once you figure out how to play the game, there are no updates or other courses to take so it's "game over." Still worth a try.
