Reviews
this is not a meme review, but as a full-on GG casual I can't let the character called "FAUST" go by unsung. this is a badass competitive technical fighting game with a character called Faust who appears to be a giant lanky tall man wearing a bag on his head with a single hole in it. he carries an absolutely spear-sized scalpel, which he can poke, slash or mount like a street sign and bounce around the stage. everytime Faust walks his footsteps make those anime cartoon 'moop-moop-moop" sounds they use for usually child or clownlike characters. everytime Faust JUMPS, he makes an insane cartoon "BOINK!" noise. (in this game you not only jump all the time but even have DOUBLE jumps - something you mostly don't see in fighting games.) one of Faust's normal attacks is that he'll lick the opponent with a giant, worm-like tongue that comes alllll the way under the bag that's always shielding his face. (though one of his specials causes a giant, cartoon eyeball to stick out the hole for a second.) when in the 'scalpel street sign' stance, Faust can shoot his tongue out several feet to attack his opponents. Faust has the great gift of being able to crouch walk (block?) while pressing down+L or R. when he does this he becomes basically a crab, with his long legs especially standing way above his torso, propelling him slowly across the floor. Faust is a good character. actually, Faust is one of the craziest things I've ever seen in a major video game. even by anime standards this is some pretty bizarre nonsense. I love it. one of Faust's specials has him cover himself in a blanket, which then sinks flat on the floor, where a door will then appear across the stage and Faust will come out of it. there's some wild other dimension you can peek through the doorframe. Faust is a good character. and this is a good game. definitely my favorite of the Guilty Gear series, though I'm green as hell with them. played Strive a bit. this feels way better. DEFINITELY FIND ONE OF THE GUIDES ABOUT HOW TO PLAY THE GAME AT MORE THAN 1080p IF YOU HAVE A HIGHER-RES MONITOR. ALSO DELETE THE SPLASH SCREEN VIDEO FROM THE GAME FOLDER. TO CLOSE I RECOMMEND GUILTY GEAR XRD REV 2 TO JUST ABOUT ANYONE WHO'S INTO FIGHTING GAMES. BUT BE WARNED IT'S INSANE. GOING MY WAY, NOW. BYE BYE.

Muy buen juego, buena música, tiene grandes personajes de la saga como I-no, Dizzy, Chipp, Sol, Ky, Slayer y Faust. le doy un 8/10 porque tiene el metal pero no las chicas trans.
This game goes hard asf but its so sad that its not that active compared to strive 9/10 PLZ HOP ON
lowkey YRCdiddyslop vantablack blitzcoal hell i want daisuke tortured for creating danger time too
The best Guilty Gear game
Visuals still holds up. Intersting systems and wacky character designs.
I wish xrd would come back, strive is boring and every match feels the same. Also they retconned a bunch of ♥♥♥♥ just to not piss of the pronoun gang and get them to buy it *eye roll*
way better than strive. no hate to strive but man xrd is perfection

**Recommended? ✅ Yes — Absolutely** I finally understand why people still talk about this game years later. Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2 is what happens when a fighting game prioritizes fun, expression, and style over everything else. --- ### First Impressions The game still looks incredible. The anime visuals, character animations, and stage designs feel alive in a way most modern fighters still struggle to match. But what really surprised me wasn’t the graphics. It was how fun the game feels even when I’m losing. --- ### Gameplay — Where It Truly Shines Every character feels unique and expressive. * Free-flowing combo routes * Creative Roman Cancel usage * Fast-paced neutral * Wild anime chaos in the best way possible Instead of feeling restricted, I feel encouraged to experiment. I’m not following a checklist or executing a flowchart. I’m playing. Even when I get completely destroyed, I’m smiling because every match feels different. That’s something special. --- ### Accessibility Without Losing Depth The stylish/easy input options help you to start learning combos faster while still letting yo grow naturally. Beginners can jump in and have fun, while experienced players have an absurd amount of depth to explore. It respects both types of players — and that balance is rare. --- ### Online & Playing With Friends Even though the online population isn’t massive anymore, playing with friends or finding matches still delivers some of the most enjoyable fighting game sessions I’ve had. Win or lose, matches feel exciting rather than stressful. --- ### Content * Excellent Arcade Mode * Huge personality across the roster * Tons of character-specific mechanics * A game that rewards creativity instead of limiting it There’s always something new to learn without the game feeling exhausting. --- ### The Feeling Some fighting games make you chase wins. Xrd Rev 2 makes you enjoy the match itself. I’ve had sessions where I lost repeatedly and still walked away happier than when I win in other fighters. That says everything. --- ### Final Verdict If you want a fighting game that feels expressive, energetic, and endlessly fun: Play Guilty Gear Xrd Rev 2. (or Guilty Gear XX Accent Core Plus R) Personal Score: 9/10 — Pure fighting game joy.
