Shrunk again, but the world is much larger. In this open-world, single-player or co-op survival adventure, craft weapons and armor, build your base, and traverse the playground on your buggy. But something else is out there—and it hasn’t forgotten you.

A fun game at first with plenty of content, soon mired down with very questionable design & balance decisions. The last enemy of The Abyss also soured the experience overall. Needs a lot of changes & rebalancing especially in the latter half of the game. Hard to recommend at this point.
I know its in early accsess but the mechanics feel horrible compeard to g1 especially in the axl fight i parry his attacks and half a sec later i take the full hit of the attack or he just instakills me. Axl needs a full new code becouse currently it feels harder then the infected broodmother from grounded 1 i dont recommend this game in early accsess over grounded 1
I feel like the fun has been sapped out of the game in this sequel. There are no routes to discover which allows players to stealth into the various zones for sorely needed resources because bugs are in every crack and cranny, and at every elevation. Relentless and unavoidable. Fleeing is impossible because you'll just run into another one and another one and another one. Even on mild game setting, you die a thousand deaths. You don't get to be clever or creative, you have to pretty much do exactly what the devs outlined, in the order decreed. Otherwise you will die a thousand deaths and spend all your time retrieving your backpack, if you even can. Fun POIs such as Ranger stations are blocked by hards core bugs forcing players to play a narrow sliver of a very specific game progression in order to proceed. So even if you do manage to sneak in by the skin of your teeth to unlock the travel point, going there is pointless because you won't survive the exit. Not untill you go back and kill bug A, bug B, bug D in that order to upgrade so you can even get out the door to, say, get blueberries. The map is dismal and depressing. There isn't one spot to rival the charm and beauty of the pond from G1, for instance. So there's nothing to look forward to if your the type who also likes to find somewhere gorgeous to build a final base. It's a huge chaotic mess, land locking you in because there are not multiple obvious routes into the distant regions. Your going to find a way in and the be stuck there trying a hundred routes only to discover a block at every turn. In many, many instances forced to parcor, which I loathe, and even then hitting a literal wall which seems endless. This makes traveling the map monotonous, gruelling, and excessively time consuming all while getting nothing visually pleasing to look at along the way. The things I found fun in the first game are still there, they are just locked behind a progression wall that is pessimist at best. I would have rather just bought a new map DLC for the original game than be forced to play a specific way, with specific combat, specific armors and weapons, and no room for rogues like me.
game runs worse then cyberpunk on release on the ps4. and the fact theyre still selling a founders DLC despite being available to buy for a year should tell you everything you need to know. Stay away till its finished...in prolly 4 years.
Very laggy if you dont have the proper gaming computer
This is unplayable now. Ive never had an issue till this update. It just crashes dosent even start or try to just crashes. Ive managed to boot it twice now in 56 trys. furthermore i try an join my freind and im met with "This user is using crossplay please enable crossplay." so i do then its "This is user is playing without crossplay, please turn off crossplay" its been nothing but back and forth on this wtf???
This game is not pay to win, and overall a very good survival game
my partner and i love playing this game together with friends. At first, i thought the art was a little goofy but it has really grown on me. I was scared of the bugs at first but now I know to just run away!!!!
im gay
Has the same great gameplay as the first, but the amount of issues currently present makes the experience more frustrating. There is frequent frame stuttering in combat alongside the occasional frame drops in online sessions. When it does work, the flow of combat is very well thought out and has great weapon/enemy variety. However, there are currently very disjointed attacks by the tier 2/3 enemies. My favorite of which being a wolfspider leaping through an undamaged base then phasing out afterwards. Of course, this wouldn't be a Microslop official title without their signature awful cross-play combined with their genius decision of always-online single player. Given that this is still in early access, I do expect many of these issues to be fixed over time. For now, wait for this to go on sale or for a later update.
