About

In GROUND BRANCH, you will play as the elite paramilitary arm of the CIA's Special Activities Center/Special Operations Group (SAC/SOG) and lead other special operations forces through challenging deniable ops all over the globe. With deliberate, calculated and unforgiving gameplay, GROUND BRANCH aims to be the true rebirth of the tactical realism genre of the late '90s and early 2000s. Powered by Epic's Unreal Engine 4, GB puts the "tactical" back in "tactical shooter" — no compromises.
GROUND BRANCH's unique True First-Person System improves world immersion and awareness of your surroundings, providing zero disconnect between your view and your character's physical presence in the environment. See your foot sticking out of cover? Better tuck it in — enemies may be able to see it (and shoot it) too, but only if their line of sight and muzzle are verifiably unobstructed. Cameras are placed at the character's eyes and bullets originate from the weapon's muzzle. Managing your height over bore when shooting around obstacles or aiming for precision in CQB is critical. In GROUND BRANCH, what you see is what you get.
A minimal HUD with multiple optional elements ensures that vital information is available, but never a constant obstacle to either immersion or your field of view.

Say goodbye to pre-defined kits and fully customize your character. From gear, basic appearance, and outfit, to in-depth vest and weapon platform customization, down to individual pouch and attachment placement. What you bring to your mission is determined by your loadout choice, which carries realistic consequences: with the encumbrance and stamina system, too much equipment will impact your character’s speed and performance; place a scope too forward on the rail and your sight picture will be too small; bring a long rifle into CQB and weapon collision may prove a hindrance.
Forget unlocks, microtransactions and loot boxes. Ground Branch operators get all the right tools for the job straight away — courtesy of the Agency.
Whether in 8-player co-op or 8v8 adversarial game modes, GROUND BRANCH’s unforgiving gameplay makes careful and calculated teamwork essential. Gather your teammates and practice in full-featured training areas, including shooting ranges with dynamic targets and a killhouse with multiple floor plans. Integrated VOIP with both 3D positional voice and team radio ensures full communication capabilities with no need for third-party software. Text chat and pre-recorded voice messages (commo rose-style) are also available for the mic-less and the shy.
Prefer single-player? Missions with friendly A.I. and a full command system are planned for the future.
In the tactical shooter realm, movement and weapon handling are king. Take full control of your character with standing, crouching and prone stances, each with multiple movement speeds. Unique weapon postures (including low- and high-ready), leaning, free-look (head movement independent from aim), and optional and customizable free-aim (dead zone) put every part of your movement in your hands. Add dedicated mouse sensitivity sliders for point-shooting, unmagnified, and magnified aiming, and highly configurable key binding options.
You can also alternate between default actions of certain controls, such as whether a bolt action operates itself after firing or requires another click to operate.

⏳ GROUND BRANCH's unique "campaign" format will deliver smaller, more localized sets of missions based around global hotspots, with a centralized intelligence interface to monitor them and receive new mission orders over time. The choices you make along the way may affect future engagements.
☑️ Based on unique environments all over the world, the non-linear mission and map designs offer multiple entry points and open-ended outcomes.
☑️ Enemies are spawned at mission start, with a degree of randomization to quantity and location. No "monster closets" or magic enemy spawns based on player location or mission progress.
☑️ Ready Room: A physical multiplayer lobby where you can plan your approach, see your teammates' loadouts, test weapon configurations on a firing range and jointly select insertion points.
☑️ Full and 100% free dedicated server support. Host a server wherever you want!
☑️ Unit patches that can be attached to your character's sleeves and gear.
⏳ Full support for MP ladders.
☑️ After-action review (AAR) following each mission/round.
☑️ Server-side options.
⏳ Full mod support.
☑️ No item unlocking, hit markers, kill confirmations or score pop-ups.
⏳ Weapon bracing/supporting.
☑️ Varied arsenal: Multiple handguns, submachine guns, carbines, assault and battle rifles, machine guns, DMRs, sniper rifles and explosives to choose from, with a full suite of optics and attachments to complement them.
☑️ Map variation: In addition to day and night versions as well as weather variation, maps have small details that can change between rounds, such as doors and windows that may be open, closed or blocked.
☑️ Unlimited loadout save slots.
☑️ Item sharing/dropping/pickups.
☑️ Accurate ballistics with penetration, bullet drop and stopping power simulation.
⏳ No regenerating health or health packs: Administer first aid to non-lethal injuries that would further reduce combat effectiveness if not treated.
⏳ Location damage model: Expect visible injuries and consequences, such as limping, reduced arm function, and/or hits to stamina and accuracy. Players immobilized from a non-lethal injury can stay in the fight.
⏳ Drag teammates to safety to administer first aid – or to safely recover their ammo, gear, or cargo.
☑️ Appropriate and realistic playable female characters.
☑️ Partial controller support (configurable).

What a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupendous JOKE! I cannot believe we waited all these years for ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ this?! I think I bought this 6 years ago and it has actively gotten NO CONTENT added to this game. Pirate this slop if you really wanna see it, I thought this was the sickest tech demo for years just like half sword What a F U C K I N G scam. Play any other LARP game lmao
The game just doesn't feel right. Everything you touch or brush up against is glitchy and twitchy. The ADS is trash, the AI is trash. Id go as far as to say the graphics are worst than Arma 3 which came out in 2013 (its 2026 going on 2027 now). If you want this sort of game play, only something a slightly bit better with way smoother graphics but equally re****ed AI, but with mod ability via steam workshop and better online game play and fun with friends just buy Ready Or Not. Both are sub-par games to be honest with loads of potential, but Ready or Not is very sligtly better, both graphically, online and for mods. I have 13 people on my friends list that have this game, we're Arma III old timers with 5-10K hours and I never see anyone boot this game. Saying that very few boot Ready or Not too. Fk it.... If you want fun with your mates just buy Hunt Showdown..

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Classic retro rainbow six vibes. You should either bring more capable armor or decrease lethality of enemy shots and provide a health and self medic system to make this game playable in solo. It is quite annoying to get one shoted. Also the attachments are great, but being able to modify your barrel etc. is also quite necessary imo.
considering how long they have had to make a true 1.0 release, do not recommend. like others say, go for operator honestly. much more customization and a lot more grounded. much more fun
mala optimización, developers perezosos, movimientos toscos y rigidos de los personajes. te matan de un tiro 9/10
buy any other tactical shooter and you'll be more satisfied than with this game
I tried so hard to like this game since v1034, and I'm seeing other reviews where other people's games crash, I'm seeing a disturbing lack of content for v1.0, and I'm deeply saddened by it. I think the kicker for me was when an old friend told me, "You shouldn't have to try to like something." This game has some really cool stuff going on. I like the gunsmith, I like the difficulty, I like the feel of aiming and shooting in this game. I just can't recommend this over Operator because of 1) the lack of missions and 2) the technical troubles.
Just a terrible update. I have 285+ hours through all the previous releases and its flabbergasting what a mess this is - Performance is abysmal This is the real killer. I dont have the newest hardware but would easily get 60-100fps depending on the map. I now get between 5(!) and 30. Its inexplicable. - 'New' AI is super dumb in new ways. Kill a guard with a grenade. Two other patrolling guards continue to walk right past the dead body Go to any map and watch a guard from a couple of hundred metres out going about their business. Put a cross hair on him and he miraciously turns around and starts firing at you. - The new maps are more detailed and somehow more generic I don't *hate* the new maps but the old ones largely were well laid out. Adding in all the extra detailing just makes the game look like countless other tactical games and detracts from the mission - Operations mode is just not ready at all. No team mates, adding in a voice in your ear saying the same 3 lines compltely takes you out of it. Just feels like an excuse to slap 1.0 label on it - see a bump in sales and then retire it. Its such a shame, I personally didn't really mind the slow rate of development.
let me start of by saying this game was fun in early access and the bugs could be forgiven. Now here is my first experinence with 1.0. Load up game "oh cool new menu background" go to customize operator bug where main menu overlays on customization menu still exists what the hell, restart game this time menu over menu bug gone yay instead greeted to no weapons but modded and no clothing options (and yes before anyone says it the option to show only modded was unticked I my be a lil dumb but not that much xD) showing instead so I uninstall all mods and nope still broken, made the game unplayable as I can not select a weapon for myself, very cool devs glad I can barely even play this game. So I decide to reinstall and see what happens yay weapons and stuff show up in customization now happy days, also glad too see still no special weapon after all these years at this point why not just remove that tab from inventory instead of saying "This slot is not aviliable at this time it may still be in development or temporarly disabled". Finally get into a mission and get too select weapon and then find out AI either stands doing nothing while I shoot around them or is laser accurate on my head, also the fact that my operator who is supposed to be a tier one operator gets shaky after walking with gun out for like 30 seconds. I want too like this game cause I enjoyed the early access but the full release has just left me unimpressed, this use to be a fun tactical game now it is just kind of meh guess I will probably still paly it cause it scratches an itch for that old school ghost recon/rainbow six style, but between the brain dead or super accurate AI the limited missions for a "campaign" and no AI teammates after all these years this game is so far a huge let down.
No AI teammates, very poor enemy AI (don't work as a team, have no tactics, and are just hitscan bots that will shoot at you the second you come into their cone of vision), hardly any missions. This is just a glorified barbie dress up game, they focused too much on adding weapons and gear instead of focusing on actual game mechanics and mission sets. Poor launch.
