Grotesque Tactics: Evil Heroes

This game should be named: Grotesque Tactics: Evil camera. Camera is true villain of this game. What else? Don't want to waste yourtime so I will just tell you how launcher works. It tries to connect with some broken url and displays 71 "scrip error" messages in a row before you can click start game button. That part is probably more entertaining than the game itself. Avoid.

If you are a fan of old school Fire Emblem and similar games, this is likely to be a very enjoyable experience. The story isn't particularly complicated, but what there is is none the less satisfying with some interesting twists. There aren't many different locations to visit, but it none the less does a decent job of using what it does have well - and even plays it for humour at one point, highlighting that you have been to a location before. The actual strategic systems are a bit clunky, but ultimately satisfying to master. It never feels like the difficulty comes from fighting the games systems instead of the opponents it throws at you. This said, the difficulty curve can be quite high, and because there is a finite amount of all resources in the game any early setbacks can be crippling by the end of the game. And sometimes you do need to be careful of the camera, as it can cause you to issue an unintended order in a few of the more obstructed environments. Overall this game is obviously intended to appeal to players who like a tough challenge, but if that's not for you the developers have actually left a lot of options so that anyone can enjoy the game - beyond simple difficulty settings, the developer console (think ID Software or Valve cheat codes) is readily accessible and you don't get penalised by the game in any way for using it. There is about 3 hours of content to be experienced here, but expect it to take about 18 hours to get through everything if you are good at these sorts of games, or about 36 hours if you find these sorts of games more challenging.

The game glitches constantly. You get stuck in combat mode or a character gets frozen in place. You have to save and get out of the game and go back in to fix it. Otherwise, it's fine. The game is fully misogynistic but in a humorous way. Turn based combat works fine, but any time you have npc allies, they will attack you instead of the enemy. If I hadn't gotten it in a three-game pack for 2.00, I would feel ripped off.

a silly little game. with next to no plot or story.. limited and pretty poor tactics/skills to use and constant reuse of 'levels'.. I'm guessing because it was made by one person?!? its ok.. but nothing to 'rave on about' like some do.. and #2 is NOT worth buying for any amount of money..

Fogalmam sincsen honnan van meg nekem ez a játék... Ez egy taktikai RPG játék amiben körökre osztott a harcrendszer. A Baldur's Gate 3 ra hasonlit a játék leginkább... ,de nagyon szórakoztató hosszú távon. 10/5
