Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Every market we collect.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 19.29/day in the week to Sep 2 → 26.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This is not a game for employed people. If there are things in your life that demand any amount of time or attention--actually, if there are other things in your life at all, you simply cannot contribute the required time, energy and emotional labor needed to complete this game on Normal mode. It's a skill issue. If I was still 23, waiting tables and drinking cough syrup in my parents' basement, I'd probably love this game. It will give you an endless stream of repetitive ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥, replete with flashy particle effects and an ever-growing list of objectives. Completing one of them might, briefly, give you the approximate feeling of actually reaching a goal. But you're not. There's another one. This is a game that requires 3-5 years of experience to play, and absolutely none of that experience comes from actually playing the game. It has less than zero respect for your time, and frankly, the longer I played it the less respect I had for myself. It makes exponentially greater demands in time and effort while providing you zero tools to meet them. There's like 18 different damage types, but they don't tell you what damage type the monsters do. Good luck finding out what instakilled you. The markers on your map disappear when you're more than 8 feet away from them, so hope you like running around the same stupid hallways 454 times to find where Glorgblorg the Forsaken spawned on this run. The DPS calculations aren't accurate, so you have no way to reliably compare gear for upgrading (half the point of the game). All of the stats are derived through like 8 layers of indirection, so they're basically meaningless. The controller support is an abomination. But none of these things should cause any friction while you're farming 1000 identical monsters to collect the Blood of Cthulhu resource needed to craft a special key to access an overtuned dungeon with no checkpoints. And when you die, which you will, you lose all progress and have to literally restart the game. The game is a list of tasks. It is work. And the work has prerequisite work required to even start doing the primary work, whose reward is additional time spent individually selling 45,000 additional pieces of trash gear. Quest directions are unbelievably vague, even the wikis that are basically required reading are vague. You're not qualified to understand the instructions until you've memorized the name, location and birth date of every goblin in the game. Oh, and all monsters scale perfectly to your own level, so every single fight is exactly as difficult as every other one, forever. Actually, there are two kinds of fights: mind-numbingly easy and mathematically impossible. Did you think you were making progress? Did you think you could build your character based on childish fantasies like "I want to have a cool build that's fun?" You're an idiot, you should have been following Poopmancer42's v1.6.9.0 Guide for Temp Bleed Double-Proc Dong Wizard. Git gud. I'll concede that this is my opinion, and I may just not be in the target demographic. If you crave the endless, smothering tedium of an MMO, but without the risk of making a friend, then this game will accomplish that pretty well. Maybe you're in an unhappy marriage, or feel the need to withdraw from your friends, family and society in an ever-downward spiral of multiplicative damage conversion bonuses and farming tiered crafting components. If you want the extra security of being totally sure you're not going to learn a new language or take up an instrument, then getting into Grim Dawn will provide that for you.

i want to say i had a good time playing grim dawn, but there's just too many frustrating things about it that prevent me from continuing to play the game. it does a lot of things right, but it does more wrong. pros: the leveling is fantastic. it gives you 3 points each level until 50s, 2 points until 80s, and then 1 point each level after but it feels very satisfying to be given multiple points per level. the exp was also very nice and consistent, whereas some other arpgs like to soft lock leveling by making the exp needed to be astronomical per level. the devotion system was also fun and engaging, having to turn some on and off to reach higher tiers, kind of like a puzzle. items are also robust and do enough different things to matter. there's things like monster specific drops, double rares, your usual arpg rarity, set pieces that don't suck at all (probably the best itemization for set gear of any arpg), and a very useful crafting bench. there's tons of elemental conversions, changing skills to different elements, etc that are really cool for theory crafting. cons: it's old. absolutely archaic in design. combat feels wow-like, you're often face tanking regardless of what class you are for large swaths of time. you beat the game? congrats, do it again at another difficulty. oh you did it? do it one more time, harder. you beat that difficulty? well okay, here's the campaign again at the highest difficulty. it's just not fun to run the campaign again and again. usually by the second run you are already level 100, so it makes it even worse. devotion shrines. absolutely terrible design. this is born from like, early 00's games where instead of real content they want you to look for things around the map. you have to do this 55 times to max out your character's power potential. even diablo 4 got this right and removed it from future alts. it's not fun a fun system and just feels like a chore. qol. i get wanting to stay thematic, but towns are supposed to be hubs where the character can go and sell items, craft and theory craft, etc. and the designs of some of these towns are too inconvenient. portal nowhere near close to any usable npcs, usable npcs spread across far ends of the town, important vendors not at all towns, the respec trainer literally disappears because of an expansion, etc. if you don't randomly drop portals, expect an insane walk back to your corpse if you ever die rainbow mod should be default writs and mandates are not good enough, you still have to grind faction again for the millionth time
Have quest X. Don't know where to go to complete that quest as map does not show anything. google quest X, it says go to location Y. map is unclear, don't know where location Y is or spend minutes searching for it. Google location Y. finally find the location for the quest. Repeat this for multiple quests and you have what I call frustration
The best game ever and one of the truest and most complete Action RPGs Best for highlighting character progression, lore, and loot mechanics. "Grim Dawn gets just about everything right. The dual-class mastery system and the sprawling constellation/devotion trees offer a staggering amount of build diversity. The post-apocalyptic lore is surprisingly rich for a hack-and-slash, and the pacing is spot-on. While the graphics and engine are a bit older, the core gameplay loop and itemization are top-tier. Highly recommended for both veterans of the genre and newcomers looking for a perfect introduction to ARPGs. "Quick Review Check-list to add your own spin: The Dual-Class System: Mention how fun it is to mix two masteries (e.g., Inquisitor + Demolitionist). The Constellations: Note how the devotion system lets you endlessly tweak and fine-tune your stats. The World: Praise the dark, bleak atmosphere and the freedom to play entirely offline.
10 years old and still the best ARPG available
