Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Choose your side in the American Civil War: Real-time campaign, spanning from Secession to the end of the war, with historical objectives for both sides.
Five campaign scenarios (Pre-War, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864) and twenty (20) stand-alone battles from 1st Manassas in 1861 to Appomattox Court House in 1865.
Change history: What if European superpowers intervened to end the war, or Lincoln lost the presidential election of 1864?
Scott’s Great Snake: Lay siege, raid and blockade your enemy on land and sea or use blockade runners to keep the life-lines to Europe open.
From Fort Sumter to Appomattox: Watch closely the morale of your citizens and troops. As the war drags on, fervor turns to fatigue, the treasury threatens to run dry, and measures like drafting will cause unrest.
Keep the armies marching: Build and manage the flow of supplies to your armies. Utilize and expand railroad lines to supply and move armies for the first time in history!
Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Use engineers to build pontoons and dig trenches, see reinforcements change the tide and commit your reserves to defeat the enemy.
Grant vs. Lee: Manage hundreds of historical commanders with personal attributes and specialization. Famous commanders inspire soldiers and citizens alike and loss of reputation can be irreparable.
Command Great Armies: Huge armies of infantry, cavalry and artillery, with realistic command structures and historical Order of Battle.
Bring the Civil War to life: Amazing Civil War re-enactment and combat footage from LionHeart FilmWorks, and an original soundtrack of old time music and drum and fife band.Updates

Good game
So far this has been the best civil war strategy game I've ever played, a game with everything historically accurate.

I have gone back and forth hard over "is this game is good or bad?" Yes. Just...yes. It's worth playing, it's fun to play. but it will extort a price of frustration. It will have you pulling your hair out, it will have you delighting in a good turn of chance. It has mechanics that are so obvious and straightforward that you wish other games had, it has mechanics so deep and considered that you won't get them on the first few play throughs, but after you crack them you enjoy their presence and respect the level of importance they have. And it will bungle the basic and obvious, have basic mechanics that wiff the swing horribly badly. It's got overly complicated mechanics that just weigh down matters. It adds in complicated building schemes that the more experienced players advise you to completely ignore because they're worthless. It's a maddening ball of Great, Terrible, Good, Bad, and you can't exactly play it like a Total War game. But once you hang in there through the first few hurdles and decipher the complicated mechanics, you will start to enjoy it. But just be prepared for the early struggle. Also, shout out to Great Scots for his tutorial explanations, they drug me through that first slog with the hope and optimism of the fun to come.
awesome grand Strategy game.
Kinda like a civil war total war game pretty fun
I dunno man U.S. Grant Recommended this game to me bc I wanted to destroy slavers and refight the battle of the Wilderness which not enough people are getting into always going on about Gettysburg and Antietam but my dude Grant was out there slaying haters in the forest like it was going out of style and really before I say more I gotta say I dunno that I can recommend this game because it's frame rate is garbage and it really has a lot of flaws that you can read about in other reviews because this review is about killing white people and when it comes to killing white people this game lets you do that in spades there is another game about the civil war called war of rights and my main question is right to what my dude this game doesn't concern itself with those rights its main right is the right to have lousy AI and this AI is pretty lousy and the framerate is crap and the bugs are there but if you like total war and you like the civil war and you like run on sentences then you will like this review.
After 90 minutes and stuck half way through the tutorial. After 3 hr and fixing up some of the default interface options its a a fair bit better. If columns of troops spinning round on there centre axis under enemy fire getting slaughtered looks good to you....It is going to take 10s of hours to really get a handle on the interface or I suppose I could read the 297 page Manual. If you dont have that sort of patience and time to get over this initial hurdle its not for you.
