Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Choose your side in the American Civil War: Real-time campaign, spanning from Secession to the end of the war, with historical objectives for both sides.
Five campaign scenarios (Pre-War, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864) and twenty (20) stand-alone battles from 1st Manassas in 1861 to Appomattox Court House in 1865.
Change history: What if European superpowers intervened to end the war, or Lincoln lost the presidential election of 1864?
Scott’s Great Snake: Lay siege, raid and blockade your enemy on land and sea or use blockade runners to keep the life-lines to Europe open.
From Fort Sumter to Appomattox: Watch closely the morale of your citizens and troops. As the war drags on, fervor turns to fatigue, the treasury threatens to run dry, and measures like drafting will cause unrest.
Keep the armies marching: Build and manage the flow of supplies to your armies. Utilize and expand railroad lines to supply and move armies for the first time in history!
Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Use engineers to build pontoons and dig trenches, see reinforcements change the tide and commit your reserves to defeat the enemy.
Grant vs. Lee: Manage hundreds of historical commanders with personal attributes and specialization. Famous commanders inspire soldiers and citizens alike and loss of reputation can be irreparable.
Command Great Armies: Huge armies of infantry, cavalry and artillery, with realistic command structures and historical Order of Battle.
Bring the Civil War to life: Amazing Civil War re-enactment and combat footage from LionHeart FilmWorks, and an original soundtrack of old time music and drum and fife band.Updates

I really love Grand Tactician: The Civil War (1861-1865). The level of play and the attention to detail is wonderful. Its the best Civil War game that I've ever played.
I think its a good game but they have to polish the movement your troops get stuck in trees and dont follow your orders and then get flanked and killed
I love this game.

Just dont start your career as artillery leader. And apply for commend in troops that are not in immediate hardship. I recommend very Aggressive A.I so that there will be many small scaled combat you can join or evade. Your small troops will do well and your PC will be able to run those 10K~ troops combat with great ease.
Superb game.
Played for a few hours, it was fun, but now my game crashes every time I try to load into a battle (a battle that finally happened after my character spent 6 months doing absolutely nothing).
Apprentissage difficile mais ça vaut vraiment le coup
I would say 9 hours into Grand Tactician: the Civil War has been challenging. The game in itself is entertaining and immersive. However, it is overly ambitious. It takes aspects of Total War and games like Hearts of Iron 4, Crusader Kings 3, or any of those style games, and tries to melt them into one game. What it does excellently is the strategic, economic, and political side. What it is lackluster in is the tactical and strategic knowledge in battle. Often times you'll see armies that outnumber the enemy by 20,000 and lose handily. Now would you say that this is permanent and can't be fixed now? No, I believe it will be developed and worked on and that is not a reason not to buy this game. So in conclusion, if you love the Civil War and love Advanced strategy games get this game!
I have only played as the Union so far, and i am finding it really difficult to fend off the Confederate states as they have double the troops I have at any given time. I've watched some youtube videos to get an idea of how to start because i felt that the tutorial only teaches you how to navigate through game play options, but not really any insight on how to go about using strategy. They leave a lot up to trial and error. I will say the challenge, as frustrating as it is, makes the game so appealing to me because you really have to know exactly what you're doing and try to try to predict what the enemy is going to do, which can change from game to game. I just cant seem to figure out how to hold off confederate attacks early in the game when they have 3 year enlistment contracts and i'm still trying to get 2 year contracts unlocked. I only have 15 hours put in so far, so maybe i just need to let one of these games play out and see where it goes. I'm mostly looking forward to this DLC coming out tomorrow so i can run my career with my own avatar and play on a smaller scale. All in all this game is everything i could hope for in an economic/military strategy simulator. I love it.
