Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.
About

Choose your side in the American Civil War: Real-time campaign, spanning from Secession to the end of the war, with historical objectives for both sides.
Five campaign scenarios (Pre-War, 1861, 1862, 1863, 1864) and twenty (20) stand-alone battles from 1st Manassas in 1861 to Appomattox Court House in 1865.
Change history: What if European superpowers intervened to end the war, or Lincoln lost the presidential election of 1864?
Scott’s Great Snake: Lay siege, raid and blockade your enemy on land and sea or use blockade runners to keep the life-lines to Europe open.
From Fort Sumter to Appomattox: Watch closely the morale of your citizens and troops. As the war drags on, fervor turns to fatigue, the treasury threatens to run dry, and measures like drafting will cause unrest.
Keep the armies marching: Build and manage the flow of supplies to your armies. Utilize and expand railroad lines to supply and move armies for the first time in history!
Pivotal battles: Fight battles lasting multiple days on historical battlefields. Use engineers to build pontoons and dig trenches, see reinforcements change the tide and commit your reserves to defeat the enemy.
Grant vs. Lee: Manage hundreds of historical commanders with personal attributes and specialization. Famous commanders inspire soldiers and citizens alike and loss of reputation can be irreparable.
Command Great Armies: Huge armies of infantry, cavalry and artillery, with realistic command structures and historical Order of Battle.
Bring the Civil War to life: Amazing Civil War re-enactment and combat footage from LionHeart FilmWorks, and an original soundtrack of old time music and drum and fife band.Updates
Build ids and update times come straight from Steam's PICS — the same source SteamDB reads. Patch history grows as we record new builds.

good
this game is good but I really struggle to commit to a whole campaign its just too slow battle wise spending up to 3 hours on one battle just to lose and have to wait another 1 hour before that army can move again due to the readiness mechanic is just too slow. I appreciate this game the battle system is cool the vibe is unmatched and it can be fun but it requires a very specific mood and technically speaking its super choppy on the campaign map also the ai leaves a lot to be desired. overall from what ive played 6/10 it is fun at times but to be honest its not worth the asking price get it on discount if you are planning on buying it

This game needs to be completely rebuilt. i have to quit and load a save to get supplies to armies. retreating armies will go back and forth in place and never leave then come back and take ♥♥♥♥ all day its the dumbest ♥♥♥♥ ive ever seen. make the armies go back to controlled territory. i literally surround these ♥♥♥♥♥ cut off all supply and they still just go right past all 6 of my armies ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ stupid
IT TOOK ME THREE HOURS TO TRY AND PLAY THIS GAME. NOTE THIS, I SAID "GAME." WAY TOO COMPLICATED TO JUST TRY AND ENJOY A GAME. PROPS TO THE DEVELOPERS ON THE ATTENTION TO DETAILS, BUT I GUESS I AM TOO OLD TO PLAY THIS "GAME." GOOD LUCK IN THE FUTURE. A VERY EXPENSIVE MISTAKE I MADE. I DIDN'T REALIZE THERE WAS A TIME LIMIT TO RETURN THIS PRODUCT. I MAY NOT PURCHASE ANYTHING FROM STEAM AGAIN DUE TO THIS FACT.
This game is trash tier garbage, don't let the civil war Andy's try and convince you otherwise. Historically accurate maybe, but that doesn't make for a fun game unless you dress up in wool uniforms and march under the confederate flag on the weekends.
If you are looking for an open world type civil war game, this game may be for you. You can manage everything from building your army and navy to making governmental policy and economic decisions. If you do not want to have that much control then you can just set the auto manage feature to handle the things you are not interested in dealing with.
I was very excited to find this game. I am very disappointed because even after watching the tutorial for 3 hours, I can't figure it out. I'm going to give it a break and try again some other time.
The game is far from finished and has since been abandoned by the devs after releasing a cash-grab DLC
I want to like this game. I want them to fix it. That said, it's unplayable bad AI.
The most unbalanced strategy game I've played especially if you play as CSA. AI blatantly cheat, popping armies of 25-30k men out of their ass, routing system is horrible. You siege the enemy, all of sudden they have a full "unknown" army in reinforcement hidden somewhere. The controls are clunky, moving troops on the battlefield is so counter-intuitive. Horrible experience, wait a year or two, or try it out when it's on a deep discount.
