Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I just genuinely don't have the time to learn this.
This is a fine Civil War game with a bit of a learning curve. If you're willing to take an hour and digest the options that are available to you, you'll be suitably rewarded with one of the best games of its type to be released in the past decade. Developers seem to be motivated to keep improving the game too and that's a plus for a game of this depth.

This game has to have the most frustrating, least intuitive UI ever. Clicking "Start Campaign" starts nothing, clicking "Start Tutorial" starts nothing. Anything that may have a chance in pointing you in right direction does nothing. I have 2.1 hours invested in this game according to Steam and I can honestly say I've never gotten past what may be the start screen.
i wanted to like this game so badly. Such a great idea, great look and all that. I got it very early on with high hopes but the AI is absolutely garbage. I cannot think of a positive thing to say about it. There are also some bugs that completely ruin the game. This game had so much potential but its dead. No update since February. Id love it if the devs would finish this game or the mod community if possible. If you really wanna try it out make sure you buy it during a sale.
about the best civil war game available at ht e present time,
As much as i want to enjoy the game, battles are unplayable as the system lags, you cant really give the orders and be executed as you want them to be and overall it is a chaos. I understand that this is what happened in real battles, but for a game, it is unplayable. Sorry
I love the game, and have put 100 hours into it. The economy portion is tough to wrap your head around at first, but adds a nice depth to a very good strategy game. The only con is that the AI is pretty bad, with entire armies redeploying to the edge of the map in battles that last longer than a day. I think this actually breaks the game, as I haven't gotten past a year and a half of playing in game time. The AI will also bum rush an objective with the whole army, which defeats the whole idea of line battles. The game is frustrating and fun at the same time! I suggest getting the DLC as well because creating your own character has been a blast! I keep playing because I am excited with what the game could be with a few more patches
It looked fun, but to me its HOI with a civil war skin and a rather unpolished tutorial that throws way too much at you way to fast and bugs out by either not spawning objectives to progress or the AI just deciding today is the day we go for a hike while the enemy smashes them with artillery. Unfortunately its a no from me.
This game is so close to being an absolute gem, but is made frustrating and about unplayable due to some well known bugs. Specifically, how routed units are handled in battle and how defeated armies work on the strategic map are so frustrating and entirely immersion breaking. There are other issues but those one are game killing. It makes the experience frankly - just not fun. What shocks me is that these failures are all over the discussion boards and are known to the devs; there are numerous easy to implement fixes. I am not talking about glitches that also occur from time to time in narrow circumstances but systemic problems that are constant. The worst part is that the game is just spectacular other than those few bugs. They nailed ACW warfare both at the strategic and the tactical level. The sound is great. The care put into the intros, the units, the art, the maps.... all of it is excellent. Too bad its not playable.
This game is awesome. It touches all the bases of strategy and tactics. I also highly recommend the A.O.M mod.
