No matter how good the radio in the background is, it is still a golf game and the golf part sucks. There is no sensible logic behind how you're hitting a ball and how far it goes making the game just frustrating.
A worthwhile torture for Sure
Not everyone likes golf, but the challenges although quite hard are not impossible and with the exception of the longer ones are actually good fun. The holes do get harder, but they also get more fun, drawing you on, because you just have to reach the last hole. The longer challenges are made special by the dulcet tones of a live DJ. Finally, the ending is as bitter as a home brewed red wine is intoxicating.
Great Story
So, it's a game with golf, but it's also another level. Golf is an escape, it's a solo escape, just you and your handicap. Can you play better than par? Can you save a life, can you save 99% of the lives on earth. This simple golf game digs a lot deeper than the cover art implies and for that it gets a solid 10/10. The golf game is pretty simple and solid. Fun things happen if you hit the ball into a dark corner sometimes. And do it often enough and you get an accomplishment or two. Which probably gives completionist players hours and hours of fun. All the while the soundtrack keeps playing, no loops, just archival material that keeps coming.
Be a rogue grab a club and steal a golf caddy
For me the commentary running through the game on topics like love, war, humanity, greed and ecology that wins anyway. These will keep bringing a chuckle and may even make you want to grab a kleenex. For similar games check out https://store.steampowered.com/curator/41773079-EmpathyGames/list/91358/

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Golf Club Nostalgia is a game with great audiovisuals, brilliant atmosphere and disastrous gameplay. The core golf mechanics are infuriatingly inaccurate and inconsistent - while mostly everything else about GCN is great. As this is supposed to be a game in the end, I'd rather not recommend it.
I really enjoyed the atmosphere of this game, especially the radio. The music and the stories from different people that slowly reveal the fate of humanity are some of the best parts of the experience. At first glance, it may seem like a calm and relaxing game where you can casually play golf, but the ball physics will not let you simply relax and will instead make you quite frustrated. The ball physics often feel random and unpredictable. The game shows the direction and power of your shot, but there are no numerical indicators, so you have to guess the strength almost every time. Sometimes a powerful-looking shot barely reaches the target, while a weak hit sends the ball much farther than you expected. Story Mode is beatable thanks to the unlimited number of shots, but the other modes become much more difficult. I don't really like that the developers made Challenge Mode a separate mode. Here, you have to complete levels within the shot limit (score par), but even if you already achieved par in the campaign, you still have to replay the same levels again. It feels like unnecessary repetition rather than a meaningful challenge. I can understand Iron Will Mode, though. It is a hardcore mode where a single mistake force you to restart the entire game from the beginning. Another issue is the lack of an option to skip animations. After a shot, you are forced to wait while your character slowly walks or flies over to the ball. This only makes the frustration worse, especially when you are already tilted with the games inconsistent physics. Golf Club Nostalgia is less a golf game and more an atmospheric art piece that happens to have golf in it, and once you accept that, it becomes something genuinely special. The real star is Radio Nostalgia from Mars, a fictional broadcast full of interviews, news snippets, and a killer soundtrack that slowly paints a picture of a world that lost everything to climate collapse and corporate greed. The level designs are creative and visually stunning, even if the ball physics can feel inconsistent and the slow reset animation will test your patience more than any hole design will. Play it on story mode with headphones, do not fight the pace, and let the radio do its thing. For a few dollars you get a couple of hours of something that actually lingers with you.

This game sucks a fat one! I wanted to like it and I was enjoying it a bit but the level design and terrible swing dynamic is a disgrace. Enjoy my 2 dollars losers. Use it to make more sub par games that are more annoying then enjoyable.
Quite a well made golf game with great music (radio) and story. Overall art style is nice and the post-apocalyptic vibe is done quite well. The atmosphere of the game is done really well, but the core gameplay experience is quite poor. The shooting mechanics are a quite tricky to understand, as there is not much information given on how the ball will fly or how much power you are putting into the shot which makes some levels take quite some attempts to complete in challenge mode. Sometimes, a full power shot seems to barely fly while a short swing sends the ball miles away from the hole. Progression is also not the greatest since some earlier levels feel a lot harder than certain later ones.
it would be a decently fun but not notable golf game without the sound track. But the incredibly well voice acted radio and immersive mix of in universe music adds so much to the world of the game, and really cuts out the tedium of the harder levels. Excellent audio storytelling.
