About
Set in a fantasy world inspired by Baltic mythology, Godsworn tells a story of pagan gods and their tribes clashing against crusaders and armies of heaven.

Divine Heroes and Abilities - Master the various divine heroes, each with their own set of abilities. Heroes gain unique units, buildings and upgrades in addition to the ones from their faction, giving each of them a unique playstyle. Protect your followers and burn your enemies with the light of the sun as the goddess Saule, or strike under the cover of darkness as the moon god Meness. Or join the Order and smite the heathens as the archangel Michael.

Build and Be Worshipped - Devoted followers will flock to your shrine. Have them gather resources and build cities so you can raise great armies for battles to come. Protect them while they pray to grant you faith, a powerful resource used for mythical creatures and god powers.
Godsworn features a unique and easy to pick up economy system where workers automatically respond to globally issued tasks and return to generating faith when idle.

Story Campaign with optional co-op - Play a fully voiced epic campaign in single-player or co-op. The campaign has been designed with co-op in mind, with the character choice leading to unique interactions or at times a completely different gameplay role. Explore the maps to find secrets and gather glyphs that will help you turn the tide of battle.
Use the glyphs that you have found to add variation to your hero and faction in both skirmish and challenge maps.

The wild pagan lands have been under the watchful eye of the gods for as long as time. The arrival of a knight order bearing the banner of Heaven threatens to upset the uneasy alliance. Will the realm burn, or will blood of both divine and mortal be spilled to protect it?

A very solid RTS with a unique twist: you play as factions led by heroes who empower different aspects (healing, raiding, converting). Resources don't run out but are scattered and workers are made automatically but are limited, you also need to balance resources gathering and faith using said workers. Very fun, has a great deal of promise
As of Early Access version 0.3.23241409, Godsworn already scores really high on the “feels kinda like Warcraft 3” scale, while managing to build its own identity on top of that as a fantasy interpretation of the historic Baltic Crusades. It’s an overall pretty great old-school RTS that’s bound to appeal to anyone who enjoys the likes of Warcraft 3, Battle Realms, Dragonshard, Age of Mythology etc. Much like in those games, there’s a welcome level of storytelling here (with surprisingly decent voice acting throughout) as well as a fabulous art style that’s just stylised enough to give the game a lot of character while also providing enough detail to allow you to differentiate unit types easily in the heat of battle. The main campaign, which currently features 10 missions (of a planned 15, I believe), sees you jumping between different factions to tell an intriguing fantasy adventure story with all the drama and betrayal you’d expect. Gameplay-wise, Godsworn is an old-school real-time strategy game with a focus on hero units that can level up and gain new abilities, leading a plethora or armed tribesmen, mounted knights and mythical creatures into battle. Your hero unit can also do side quests during missions to gain resources or mission-limited buffs, though there’s no inventory system with items that’re carried through the campaign like in Warcraft 3 or Spellforce 3. Speaking of Spellforce 3, I think it’s worth mentioning that Godsworn is a mission-based RTS first and an RPG a more distant second, which is probably why these genres mesh so well here, instead of feeling like two distinct and separate halves, which is what I’ve always felt about Spellforce 3. Another thing that struck me about Godsworn is how much I enjoyed its maps. That’s probably because I recently re-played Starcraft 2 again, and as good as that game is mechanically, it’s absolutely painful how much Starcraft 2’s maps (even in the single-player campaign) are built to be as symmetrical as possible, likely influenced by that game’s multiplayer-first design philosophy. Godsworn doesn’t entirely ditch this idea for its multiplayer maps, but its campaign maps are typically designed with asymmetrical layouts or set pieces to spice things up, such as a big river that cuts the map into uneven parts. My favourite multiplayer/skirmish map is “Apuole”, which features a big asymmetrically placed AI-controlled base that regularly sends raiders out to harass random players. That is, unless you pay them a large sum of gold, at which point they become your AI ally. It’s these neat little ideas which maybe don’t make for perfectly balanced, symmetrical e-sports-friendly skirmish/multiplayer matches; but if you’re the kind of RTS player who just wants to have fun with the game, you’ll probably enjoy these interestingly designed maps as much as I did. Speaking of AI allies, Godsworn’s single-player campaign is designed with co-op in mind, though you can absolutely play through the campaign solo. In that case, you’ll have an AI-controlled ally by your side, who’s usually helpful, but may cause some disruption by building resource gathering structures on your resource spots, or (on the flipside) drawing the enemy's attention so well that the mission becomes a cakewalk for you. If you find the campaign too easy, you can always increase the difficulty, of course. Overall, Godsworn is a great old-school RTS game that’s way beyond what I would’ve expected from a core development team of only two people. Its gameplay mechanics, art assets, general level of polish and overall production values are all incredibly good for an Early Access game made by such a small team. As far as I’m concerned, it’s the best attempt at capturing the magic of Warcraft 3 since the sadly-abandoned A Year of Rain. One way or another, it’s already a great classic RTS in its own right, which I strongly recommend to anyone looking for another experience similar to the classic RTS games I’ve mentioned throughout this review. If you’re unwilling to buy this game in Early Access, you should at least keep an eye on it to reach 1.0.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Baltic warcraft.
What an amazing game! I fell in love with it right from the demo. It plays a lot like Warcraft 3 and Age of Mythology, but it's not just a discount clone of the classics (like many RTS these days). Godsworn has its own identity, with some nice QoL changes for base building, a novel approach to "factions", excellent world building and a fantastic soundtrack. The campaign is not finished yet, but there's already quite a bit of gameplay, and the missions are varied and have interesting objectives. The story is great, inspired by pagan folklore, with fleshed out characters and great voice acting. The only negative is that the campaign is made for 2 player coop, and if you're playing alone, then the AI takes over the other player. I hated this in Divinity Original Sin, I still hate it here. If you're playing at harder difficulties, you have to babysit the AI since the missions are balanced for 2 human players, and the AI has a tendency to Leeeroy Jenkins all its troops to death. I haven't played the multiplayer, but it's an indie game, so I doubt it will become the next Korean e-sport. The developers (apparently mainly two people), have done an amazing job, and this is one of the best RTS in recent years!
Exceptionally underrated game, had this on the back burner until this latest update, this is shaping up to be an amazing RTS!
This game is a gem, I hope more people are drawn to it. It's a big ol' mix of various things that hit perfectly for me; A classic inspired hero RTS, nice! A historical setting bringing mythology to life into it, cool!! A small scale indie dev team that have made all of this using crowdfunding, awesome!!! I really hope they can keep working on this to a satisfying full release someday. I am patient and am just happy to see something this lovely exist at all 😌
Needs to be highlighted more. This game is fun. I wish the game took off more so these devs get the support they deserve.
This is a really solid RTS offering that takes inspiration from the WC3 days, graphics and all. I am always a sucker for RTS's which feature hero units. Now, it would be fine if the heroes just had different kits and gameplay styles. But, the devs went a step further to the point where you have to play a very different game depending on the hero you chose as they affect unit availability and how you run your economy. This makes for a fun and engaging experience and I cannot wait to see what else the devs have cooking.
Solid game in the style of WC 3.
