not sure where the tags come from on this one, (rts/ rogue-like) yeah okay... most tower defense games can be considered a RTS. this game is a go F yourself based tower defense with RTS being part of the gameplay. that isn't easy, and isn't fun either. you play the game, gather a small amounts of loots with annoying consumables that are basically useless in majority of situations, and relics that do things to help your (fortress) or playability. lets get to the play-style of the game, the aspect i don't really like at all. playstyle is knowledge based, the more you know about the game and the more you experienced makes it more manageable. meaning the best way to play this game is basically by knowing what all the game has/ can throw at you. knowing best start off building/ resource gathering/ management of resources and (followers) methods too. basically you're going to play this game and just get annihilated until you actually beat it. some may state this (skill issue) but skill isn't always based off of knowledge and the fundamental gameplay mechanics of said game (how you're suppose play it) creating a linear 1.5 way play style. (what is 1.5) well you even though you have to play this game a specific way, you can barely move outside of that (playstyle) zone, not fully making it a non-linear experience. this game is annoying, from navigating the cringy ui, to using consumables/ skills, from managing your followers, to resource management, to tower defense. it's all cringe. the playstyle of this game requires a certain type of player.... this game is a fake rogue-like, tower defense rts based game. the elements in games like bosses/ monster waves approaching your fortress all felt exactly the same, the loot that drops from specific mobs always the same. there simply is zero NONE, ZILCH rogue-like elements in this game. people who consider this a rogue-like... they should just stop trying to genre define games, they obviously do NOT know what a actual rogue-like is. rogue-likes have unlockables just from playing the game and losing. this game... you don't unlock sht. and the drops are basically ALL THE SAME, minus relics. (some drops have quality levels/ so level 1, 2 and 3, omg a great rogue-like element to add here, such great randomized loot.) RTS = 6/10 Tower defense = 2/10 Rogue like = 0/10 management = 3/10 UI = 2/10 gameplay = 5/10 playability = 4/10 bad = 9/10 good = 3/10

Lovely little RTS. If it looks interesting, then I think you'll like it for 5 bucks. Only downsides I can think of are some awkward default hotkeys and some poor teaching of the mechanics (or maybe I'm just dumb and missed things early). Otherwise it is a fun and challenging time. The different characters are cool and have unique play styles, and the third character is pretty fun to unlock. When to buy?: Full Price
For 5$ this game is great. Low price aside it's stands it's own as a genuinely fun game. You play as the champion of your people, you have different attacks and abilities, but you can't kill everything yourself. You'll need to set up a village, collect resources and build an army to fight with you. There's a lot going on in this game that I wouldn't expect for 5$. Multiple characters to choose from, but not only that they all seem to have their own building/army techs that really differentiate their play styles. City management is pretty intuitive and fairly easy, there is no downside to quickly moving people around to various jobs. Swap them from a builder to a gatherer to a soldier and back again. There are quite a few enemies to fight and they all have their own attack patterns and sometimes abilities. Something I really like here is that when you kill larger enemies you can send your villagers out to drag it's body back to town and hack it down for resources. The game is fairly difficult but not overly so once you get a hang of things. Summary: A burger combo is 10$, gives you 10 minutes of entertainment A movie is 12$, gives you 2 hours of entertainment This game is 5 bucks, gives you 10+ hours of entertainment
A great game, easily worth more than it's price. A mix of action RPG with base defense that nails both parts
This is one of the best pixel games I have ever played and I really love to see more from the developer in this same style. The gameplay and secrets and magical abilities in this game are incredibly unique.
goooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooood
Crash on start.
Brilliant game. Simple premise but the strategy is diverse between scenarios. Hard though not too hard.
This game is a brilliant RTS game that gets right to point. Brutally hard though, personally haven't found a way to deal with a certain enemy on day 7. Pretty frustrating but what is a game without a challenge?
A game somewhere between Pikmin and They are Billions, with an atmosphere that I think was only surpassed by the first dark souls. I feel like this game's structure could've supported so much more content. It's a reasonable amount for this price point, but it just left me wanting so much more. The characters are quite unbalanced at some critical challenges, but that's the only real criticism I have. The end time is dark and unforgiving. This area is isolated. Noone is coming.
