Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.14/day in the week to Sep 3 → 1.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,515 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Very Noice
Played 5 hours in one day and I already recommend it. The improvements from GE1&2 to GE3 are amazing. The graphics are better, the combat is A LOT smoother and more agile/acrobatic, the voice acting has been improved, and the characters are more expressive. Some systems have been removed, but others have been added in their place. For example, we have less devouring styles, however that's made up for with things such as the new Dive move, which is a very fast dash that can get you back into combat faster and also deals a bit of damage if it hits an Aragami. Overall, as someone who played GE1 for ~75 hours I would highly recommend GE3 over the other 2. If you have a lot of free time, of course go ahead and play the previous two titles. However, if you're often crunched for time, just play GE3 and only play GE1&2 if you're *really* interested in the franchise (or want to play for alisa & soma). Be ready for a bit of clunkiness and stiffness and general PSP jank in the combat if you're going to play the previous 2. P.S.: If you like soulslikes and enjoy the lore of GE, I would recommend checking out Code Vein as it's very loosely tied into the GE universe (or at least has references to the GE universe). P.P.S: WAIT FOR A SALE! Sometimes Steam will put the entire GE trilogy on sale for like $10 for all 3 together. Just wishlist it and wait. :)

As far as gameplay goes, it's my favorite God Eater game and really lives up to the nickname "Anime Monster Hunter." Despite the post-post-apocalyptic setting, the characters feel stronger than in any of the previous games. The story's pretty interesting. You don't need to have played the previous games to understand what happens, but you'll want to check the computer terminal's information for a few minutes. Long story short, a new aragami calamity has fallen the human race (again) and it's up to you and literal rag-tag found family to fight them. You will cheer, you will cry, and you will adopt a child. Also, it mostly runs great on the Steam Deck. I can use high settings and a get a consistent 60 FPS offline (good luck finding people to play with in 2025), but some of the pre-rendered/animated cutscenes may fail to load depending on the version of proton you use. I recommend it if you like Monster Hunter or any of the previous games. You can ocasionally find it on sales for less than 15 USD if you know where to look.
