About
Whether you are drawn to the lands of Gloomhaven by the call of adventure or an avid desire for the glimmer of gold in the dark, your fate will surely be the same…
Lead your band of mercenaries through this unforgiving place, where every choice is crucial. Carve your way through terrifying dungeons, dreadful forests and dark caves filled with horrific monsters to reap your rewards… or die trying.
Sell your sword to anyone who can afford it, may they be city officials or corrupt cultists. You are paid to get results and not ask questions. Where will you draw the line?
Gloomhaven is a tactical RPG and a digital adaptation of the ultimate strategy board game by Isaac Childres (the highest-rated board game of all time on ). Set in a unique medieval dark fantasy universe, Gloomhaven rewards strategic planning and problem solving. Face this dark world alone or in online co-op for up to 4 players!
Explore the world in a band of 2 to 4 mercenaries. Each of the 17 unique characters comes with their own skills and more than 1,000 different abilities to master! Prepare your deck of ability cards before setting out to explore the dark caves and dreadful forest of Gloomhaven through quests and events.
Once inside a dungeon, engage in tactical turn-based combat by selecting two cards for each mercenary on every turn. You can only use the top half of one and the bottom half of another, so plan accordingly!
Move up your hired blades on the hex grid terrain to take advantage of the dungeon’s environment. Set up deadly combos and unleash devastating powers but be wary of the cost. Cards are a resource as scarce and crucial as your life points, so watch out for exhaustion. Every choice has life or death consequences.
Hone your abilities during the game with enhancements and perks, while your power increases with level ups and new equipment. You need every advantage you can to survive here. So, gear up your band of mercenaries, chase powerful artifacts, buy the favor of the Great Oak, and never let your guard down.
Adapted from the original Gloomhaven Board Game, this branching campaign of 95 story missions pits your greed against your morality. Many powerful opponents are vying for control over the city of Gloomhaven while others are looking for ancient crypts and forgotten artefacts. You could always side with the inhabitants, but it may not pay well…
Whatever your path may be, it will be paved with difficult choices.
Created in collaboration with the community during the early access, the Guildmaster adventure has more than 160 digital exclusive missions that allow you to experience another facet of Gloomhaven with new storylines, quests, map and NPCs.
Lead your guild of mercenaries in a region overrun by unspeakable things, far worse than simple bandits.
Choose the best combination of mercenaries for each fight and follow their character stories in this deadly new territory.

Saving scumming not allowed which means your mistakes while learning a non-obvious system are permanent. The game should provide you with more cards/health per player. Lost the 2nd mission on very easy. I am not a tactical genius but I play strategy games ALL the time like battle brothers, age of wonders, civ, warhammer, etc. I am not a noob when it comes to optimal choices and planning ahead. Honestly it just doesnt feel like the board game.
A complicated and slow puzzle game with swinging luck that can bring a swift end to a quest that's taken you already over an hour. Garbage balance and no indication of question difficulty prior t entrance. Almost all the minor encounters are negative, so they are simply "random damage" to hold you back a little. Clearly lots of folks like this game. I think its garbage.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Punishing tutorial where you will do as told or repeat until you DO AS YOUR TOLD. Start the first mission and get punted into the hardest sodding mission just because the designers felt like jacking themselves off on your struggles. Waste of my ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ time and a nice headache to boot.
deoesnt run smooth on mac, get stuck in loads and you lose gamre progress
There's some decent stuff going on here, but overall, nothing great, or even that good from my limited time with it. Played it after I bought it, was unimpressed. Let it sit for a day and came back fresh and I can't see myself giving it another shot.
All the joy of the Table top game without the long setup. Great for gathering together and playing some fun tactically challenging game sessions.
I don't understand why this is so glowingly rated here and in reviews... It seems a terrible game design, the entire time you feel restricted and punished: 1 - The stupid lock-out of your used cards, can't re-shuffle unless you perma-sacrifice a card... 2 - The weird restriction on using the top/bottom opposite of the 2 cards you choose per turn. Oddly they seem designed such that you WANT to use the same half on 2 cards since they'd synergize, but nope, most of the time I only end up using 1 of the 2 cards, since the other one's 'allowed half' is giving me nothing useful to the situation... 3 - The tedious and slow 'select 2 cards per turn for each character' flow, totally slows battles to a boring crawl. My god how can you make a tactical game so slow that it bores people who like TACTICAL GAMES? I'd rather get the cards randomly, to skip that slog. 4 - The "permanently burn your cards" every time you want to rest, avoid damage, etc... Means you're constantly losing useful cards PERMANENTLY... And on top of that, a ton of card abilities cause the card to permanently burn on use too? When you have such a tiny deck to begin with... Who thought this was fun to play, when they designed it? The entire time I'm playing, feels like my shoe-laces are tied together, I feel trapped, restricted, powerless, always losing ground. Most cards feel underwhelmingly weak, and any that seem halfway useful are made to burn the card on-use. Like someone sadistic designed this... This is a terrible game experience. It feels like being on a wooden platform that's on fire at all sides, you're just degrading constantly. On the VERY FIRST LEVEL all of my characters died not from enemies killing them, but simply running out of cards since they all "burned" up from simply trying to re-fill my empty hand (you don't have a choice once you're empty) in an overly long battle with endless enemies in rooms.... I know 'rogue-likes' enjoy overpowering you on your first runs, but they usually let you get through a few levels first... This one seems to want to demolish you in the first level, and force you to grind through EXTREMELY SLOW AND BORING death-runs to get strong enough via XP or money (both terribly slow to accumulate) to even survive that lvl 1 encounter... Why would I want to go through that slow-slog again-and-again, when you stack the odds against me getting even the satisfaction of the first-level win? What the heck is this punishing mess, and why does anyone like it?? This is award-winning? I better invent a game too, if the awards-bar is this low.
Great turn based deckbuilder that is fun solo and coop. Learning curve is a little steep but once you get the hang of characters and their cards it makes scenarios a bit faster. Pretty challenging even on normal, but I like that kind of thing
