Game was previously wonderful. Then they broke playability by changing the UI for no discernible reason. Now they've removed multiplayer from a primarily multiplayer game because...I don't know, reasons? At the very least I guess it's nice that the studio showed us that they can't be trusted - shame I bought it before they nerfed it.
Jestem wielkim fanem, odkad odkrylem te gre. Rewelacyjny czarny humor, niczym z rodziny Addamsow. Do tego nieco knucia i negatywnej interakcji z oponentami. Godziny rozrywki, ktora nie nudzi. Polecam. I am a big fan of that game since the day I discovered it. peculiar humour like in the Addams family, witty comments, lot of fun, thinkering and negative interactions with your opponents. Pure fun!

The expansion families add to the game. The Steam version has helped me teach people how to play the physical card version.
I like the game but this digital version is bad. You have to wait so long for your turn to come even playing with only bots on quick play and there's no difficulty levels for the bots.
They've removed multiplayer support, because asmodee, with asmo connect, have removed support. You can go back a version, the last manifest app id, depot and manifest version: 766040 766041 2726503443953905340 that had multiplayer, and start to login with your asmo connect account, but it'll fail to connect. (you can grab this by opening the steam console and using the download_depot command). Sucks that it doesn't have local multiplayer at all, though that would be hard not to "cheat" since you'd see each others cards. Sucks that it doesn't even have LAN multiplayer.
Every time I play this I get a bunch of death cards up front, wind up discarding them so I can rack up some points, and then don't have any death cards to actually score the points. I seem to have that problem with the tabletop version, though, so maybe I'm just cursed. The only thing that makes playing Gloom tolerable for me is chatting with the other players while someone is taking their turn and they removed multiplayer from the digital version so it is no longer tolerable. Since I already talk to myself in the shower, I see no reason to play this.
The user interface already made this hard to recommend to any but people who really love the card game and had no other way to get together with people to play it, but the removal of multiplayer less than three years after release not only means this game should be avoided, but that the developers themselves should be avoided as if they were more competent and ethical they would have implemented some way for people to at least be able to host games for each other instead of just cutting off their multiplayer server and running.
I am not recommending this game because the company ditched online multiplayer last year, I can't play this with my gaming friends in several different time zones. If I wanted to play this solo, I'd pull out the cards from the box behind me. I'm very sorry that the company made this decision (their comments found here: https://store.steampowered.com/news/app/766040/view/2974049280340905566 ). I can only hope they have more robust support for any other games they may be developing in the future.
Loved this game in card version and it's even better digital as there is no clean up or setup. Really enjoy this game and would highly recommend this to anyone that loves a good narrative game. You can make up wonderful stories of how these horrible things happen to your family.
