GIRLS' FRONTLINE 2: EXILIUM

Probably the most generous gatcha I've seen. I've been able to get all but 1 of the characters on offer since I started playing, just by doing dailies and events. The characters models are well done, and there's no measurable power creep. Some kits are better than others, but hey, welcome to gatcha games. The top-down combat is OK, but you can clear pretty much everything on auto mode. There are some end game modes that require a hand on the wheel to get through and can be challenging if that interests you, and the rewards are worthwhile, The skins are pretty good, but most are premium items. There is a skin gatcha that they recently added, that many of the players pitched a fit over, but it's not that egregious. You can actually ignore it if you want, but they do offer a decent number of free pulls for it both through events and weekly dailies. There's also some systems that are geared toward those who like character side stories and similar events, there's plenty of them. The characters are fun to get to know if that's your thing. TL;DR - Cute characters, generous reward systems, fun time sink.

it's a pretty basic grid strategy game at its core, with the typical stamina and growth systems of any modern gacha game. enjoyable enough, but not outstanding. also, the character designs are generally worse/less interesting than girls' frontline 1, and its gacha rates are very unforgiving in comparison as well. overall it's fine, but i wouldn't recommend it unless you're already invested in the girls' frontline setting and characters

Having to play this for as long as I began, I was enjoying the game, but the Recruitment function NEVER gives you the prime target character you want. As much as I would've wanted the specific target doll that is from the event, I wish the recruitment didn't give me someone I already got that I would easily get from the normal recruitment directly as an Elite doll.

The story is starting to catch up to Mica's usual standard (very good) but any writing outside of recent story events is mediocre at best and is blatant wish fulfillment at the cost of characterization at its worst. The gameplay has a decent foundation but is hampered by the greedy gacha that locks major mechanical upgrades behind duplicates of characters. Occasionally there are free characters but they are so weak compared to the gacha ones that they seem almost irrelevant. The last straw for me is the rushed schedule monetization- I don't want to pay for a battle pass unless I really like a game, but asking me to pay for three at once because they want to run multiple banners at once? I don't like the game enough to justify buying even once. It feels like I'm seeing an IP and characters that I enjoyed trampled under the feet of the very greed the game portrays in its antagonists. Maybe if the team behind the game wanted a better profit margin they should have focused on making actual content rather than a poorly optimized 3D environment to do nothing in.

Love the Lore, Hate the predatory monetization and power creep. If you want to whale, there are better and worse options out there (do with that what you will). If you are F2P or low spender, I recommend watching the story summary videos online and spending your precious time on another game.

It's a good game to kill time. I'm eagerly waiting for the changes they announced for the endgame modes. Pros: - Beautiful characters - Nice graphics - Decent story - Good mechanics - It treats F2P players very well Cons: - No sex update.

The anime girl art style is good and the characters are kind of interesting, but the gameplay is just not fun. As an XCOM vet this game is just too simplistic and the early game just way too slow paced. It run well thought on the SteamDeck which I greatly appreciate. The game is just not for me.
