"In my dreams, I can get out. In my dreams, I can fit in." 'ghostpia' mixes the adorable art style of an illustrated book with glitches-and-noise effects. There are no choices to be made. There's only a lonely girl in a ghost town and her story full of mystery, friendhood...and a bit of violence.

Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.38/day in the week to Jul 21 → 0.4/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I've never been so confused on where to start when talking about a game before. From the very beginning of Chapter 1, Ghostpia set my expectations at an all-time high. I don't actually like reading visual novels all that much, but something about this one--the expressiveness of the artstyle and the melancholy/sombreness of the music, plus the VHS effects that really bring the whole thing together--the atmosphere was immaculate. I was convinced this story was going to be one I'd never forget, a coming-of-age story about a girl learning what it meant to be alive in an isolated town where death didn't exist. But what I got instead was less coming-of-age and more a story about conspiracy, with brief and epic action scenes, and comedy which--while funny and original sometimes--was more jarring than anything. Maybe "jarring" really is the word, cause I've never seen such tonal whiplash in anything ever. You'll go from a quiet scene with detailed, introspective narration, straight into the next scene filled with hijinks and the resident crazy character, and then after only a few seconds, it'll transition to an emotional scene and you're left confused on what exactly you're supposed to feel. The music too, as much as I absolutely LOVE it, is just used so weirdly at times. The story would transition into a comedic scene while creepy, unsettling music would be playing in the background, and I'd be asking "Wait, am I supposed to be laughing?", "Is this supposed to be creepy or funny?", "Am I supposed to take this seriously?" Maybe some could say it's unfair to judge a game based on what I thought it was going to be, but I would argue there're just so many elements in this story that don't mesh well together. Why, in a setting where anyone who dies is instantly revived and brought back to life, is action scenes so focused on? A character would literally be dying or is at risk of dying and all I could think of is "Am I supposed to be tense right now?" They'll just be brought back to life with their memories intact, so why does it matter who dies or not? The fact that so many fight scenes with guns and all, are here, is just baffling, and I don't understand the point of it. My biggest problem with Ghostpia though is the fact that there was no reason this needed to be 'Season 1'. This is not a short game, completing all the chapters takes about 10-12 hours (I've completed the game; Steam just didn't take into account the offline hours and this game doesn't track the achievements you get offline). There was plenty of time--plenty of budget--to have an interesting beginning, full middle, and satisfying end. And yet the story just meanders on with pointless action scenes, random comedy, and sections which just made me wonder what the point of it all was. It sucks, cause all of that time could've been spent on developing the main characters. Instead, I don't feel particularly attached to any of them even though I really wanted to be; there were even some moments in the story which really made me hate them. I had to really push myself to finish the last chapter and by the end of it, all the intrigue I had for the setting, all the hope I had to see the characters grow, was all gone.
