Puns, and puzzles. Horrible puns and devious puzzles actually, along with several incorporeal entities are what makes Ghostory a pixel art puzzle adventure brimming with humour and intrigue. Take on the role of a cursed traveler, master your ghostly form, find a cure, and escape a perilous cave system.

Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0/day in the week to Aug 24 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This game was a great surprise! Not sure why I had it on my priority backlog, but I had tons of fun! Ghostory is a puzzle-platformer game (more puzzle than platformer) with retro graphics that will challenge your brain. The premise is simple, but really well explored: You can turn between normal and ghost forms, but you also need to carry your backpack with you, and you can only carry it while being corporeal. While in ghost form, you can fly around and through stuff, and you need to constantly switch between forms in order to bring your backpack through the levels. A few highlights: - Smooth difficulty progression. First levels are small and easy, with few different elements. Later on, the levels become huge, with multiple new elements being added as your progress through the story. - Very smart puzzles. You can see a lot of effort's been put into the puzzles. It may take a while to figure out what you need to do, but once you do it's very rewarding. Be ready to spend an hour or more on later levels (there are 28 of them, plus interludes)! - Little focus on platforming. Not sure about you, but when I play puzzle-platformers, I'm not a fan of games that put a lot of emphasis on the precision platforming aspect, and require you to do tons of precise jumping very fast. Some of the platforming sections are a bit harder, sure, but they all seem fair (if they don't, you're probably trying to do the wrong thing). - Extra side quests. Besides going through the levels, there are also some side missions that you can complete for an extra challenge. This included collecting artifacts with your backpack, herding frogs into their homes and other stuff. If you're into this kind of game, be sure to give it a try, this is probably one of my favorite indie games in the genre, and on top of that it's cheap!

Very nice game. It's a puzzleplatformer. But except for a very few spots, the platforming is not the difficulty. It's about unwinding the puzzles. And those puzzles are great. It sounds easy there are keys and locked doors and switches and moving platforms. You can see everything that is happening. And still it is hard to find the solution. But very motivating. And if you despair, there are help videos in game.
Put about 2 hours into the game. Here are my thoughts. A simple, fairly straightfoward casual puzzle platformer. Mechanically it is designed well and I didn't detect any flaws. The theme is pleasant; graphics & music are done well for the style. The ghostly form mechanic gave this an extra depth that allowed the developer to incorporate some cool twists in your typical puzzlings. There is a good challenge in some of the puzzles as well, with some things that do require a bit of thought. I've seen some of the "horrible puns" and they are indeed the kind of dad-joke style humor that will make you groan. Overall I couldn't find anything negative to say about the game, other than this may not appeal to people wanting action in their platformer (there is zero action in that sense). The cost is about right for what you're getting. And I do appreciate the fact you can replay levels with stage selection, although I don't see much of a point unless you are attempting to speedrun it and want to path it out as efficiently as possible (you can even replay the starting cutscene if you really really want). I'd say go pick up a copy if you want a casual puzzler to relax to, or test your critical thinking skills. Great puzzle game, love it make another and I'll instabuy. Reminds me of Escape goat game or solomons key
Ghostory, a 2D pixel-art graphic style indie puzzle platformer. Unique concept, lots of challenging puzzles, great pixelart graphic, story background. Very enjoyable. Highly recommended for all puzzle lovers.❤️ 11/10
Good and fun puzzle platformer with story and puns*. Levels do have atmosperic music, one which makes you think of boss battle
but there isnt one in that big empty room or is there?
. Will entertain you for few hours depending how fast you can solve the platform puzzles and if you want achievements. You can also try speedrunning some levels with timing puzzles. *some puns are dad puns you might like or like hating
I am 32 years old. My ex-wife and I have a daughter together, and we adopted our son together. Both are now 4 years old. When we were going through our separation, I felt lost and unhappy. I was self-destructive. One day, I was so angry with everything spiraling out of control that I punched a concrete wall in a moment of overwhelming emotion. This resulted in breaking my fifth metacarpal in my right hand—the hand I worked with, played games with, and used to carry my children to bed—the hand I desperately needed to ensure I could continue providing. Upon learning the severity of the self-inflicted damage, I became almost suicidal. Keep in mind that just a few months before this, I was the happiest man, with no history of depression or anxiety. I had never experienced anger outbursts, nor was I the type to break down and cry, but I was in a tough situation that truly prevented me from seeing the light on the other side. With nothing better to do, I looked for a game I could play WITH ONE HAND while recovering. Somehow, I stumbled upon this game and read some of the comments. I decided it was worth a try... I must admit I didn't beat the game, nor did I play as much as some of you. In fact, I may have played this game for only a day or two. That being said, after doing so, I had a new joy and hope for life. I managed to leave behind the pain and suffering that had been thrust upon me. I could experience the joy and happiness of other people. I relaxed for 5 ♥♥♥♥ minutes listening to this music, long enough to realize that I would be okay. After realizing this, I turned off the game and went back to work. My hand hurt a lot, but I was motivated. I stopped feeling so sorry for myself and became the father I needed to be at that moment, not the weak boy I was behaving like. Today, I am close friends with the mother of my children. We don't fight, argue, or say hurtful things to each other. We are parents and friends. Now I have 3 children. My third child is, wait, ALSO 4 YEARS OLD. The woman I am with was going through a very similar situation at the time of my separation, and we just unexpectedly stumbled into each other's lives. We have been dating for a year and are very happy together. Moral of the story: you never know what life has in store for you, and if I had given up when all odds were against me, I wouldn't be where I am today. This silly little game helped me realize that. Thank you.
I'm usually not a fan of puzzle platformers, but this game was a pleasant surprise. It's well polished, has just the right amount of difficulty, controls feel snappy and intuitive, solving the puzzles and moving forward is a pleasant experience. It is surprising that the game has so few reviews, which means not much sales. It's a good game, grab it! And I encourage the owners of this game to leave reviews to help the developers out! Here is my video review, where I analyze the game from game developer's perspective: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=A8BtAbHk1nw
What a pleasant surprise! Ghostory is a standard puzzle platformer "with a twist" but this time "the twist" is a lot of fun. The difficulty is ok, it can be a bit frustrating at times, but it never took me too long to get through the more difficult parts. Now that I've completed all the levels and achievements, I kinda wish there were more. Recommended!
