This is the work of a developer full of love for the game he creates. He took community feedback and adjusted the difficulty several times, so players will be able to naturally adapt to the difficulty as they play the game. The harmony of art design is also great. I think the developer is competent in many areas! I recommend this game. :))
Great overall... ... except the last ~10 Apocalypse (super hard) levels. They're extremely long and require continuous platforming so precise and difficult I can't even imagine finishing most of them, while you're being actively chased by a kill-zone just behind your back. They could've easily been split into 20+ independent levels and I would still feel that they're too long and too hard. While I like challenges, I'm not a masochist. Also, I'd like to point out that the only negative review so far comes from a C*nadian who played the game for 20 minutes and wrote a 2+ A4 pages long analysis, which consists entirely of him comparing Ghostland Yard to Super Meat Boy... while refusing to even look at the later levels, as if such suggestion from the devs somehow offended him.

This is a competent precision platformer. Not one of the greats, but enjoyable enough. Most mechanics work well. There's a few unpredicatable ones that I wasn't a fan of, but most honestly not a deal breaker. The biggest issue for me is that you constantly have to maneauver to stuff you can't see, and I don't mean at the moment - like at all. The levels are fairly large, but there's no way to often gain perspective of what you need to do - and often there are no safe spots during your current session so you have maybe half a second to a second per go at each session to maybe see the correct strategy or other strategies, while you're actively trying to beat it. Not every level is like this (as in the safe stuff, none of them show you what the level is like), but many are. It features some good accessibility options like god mode and boss checkpoints. Unfortunately god mode forces a complete reset of the boss, so you can't use that for maybe stage 2 that you need the accessibility option of god mode for then turn it off and beat the third on your own - it's all or nothing, which sucks. All in all, it's a fairly good game and I had a decent time with it.
just completed all gold on the levels but 1 including apocalypse ( looking at you 6-11) , was a very fun experience. Im a fan of precision platformer and this really delivered, the controls feels great and the level design was nice, the only mechanic Im not too much a fan of was the wind which felt a bit inconsistent a times but appart from that great game overrall
Underrated gem, as all indie precision platformers are. Only Celeste managed to break through due to its appeal with characters and a story that resonated with people at a time where progressivism was at its peak appeal, which yes, Celeste is on the progressive side, which is fine. As with all precision platformers, high score chasing/speedrunning is a key element of the gameplay, featuring extremely tight official times to beat. It's such a massively overlooked genre. The control feels smooth, precise and responsive enough, and it features some cool hidden techs aswell which weren't convoluted to discover. Level design is a bit simplistic but not bad by any means. I'll however give -1 to the cycles that are often forcing you to slow you down from completing the level as fast you otherwise would.
It's like Neon White without the story combined with Celeste without your demons haunting you. Unfortunately, the pain and suffering of both come back in the endgame. Game is actually incredible though, gotta give this extremely well polished game more light!
Parfois exigeant, Ghostland Yard n'en est pas moins très plaisant à jouer. Les contrôles sont fluides et la gestion du perso est très agréable. Des niveaux travaillés à la difficulté croissante. Dur mais pas injuste.
Incredible meat boy like game, with a hell of an OST !
Was craving a precision platformer, saw this game on sale and bought it for 4€, I must say it is very polished, levels are really satisfying to complete and mechanics are tight. Definitely a hidden gem.
