Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.57/day in the week to Aug 29 → 1.57/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

The game is fine, but it really burns through the player's good will with the cringe ass text and the dev being absolutely unable to stop back seating. I don't want you to tell me how to use the weapons or how to build them. That's the only fun part of your game. Stop telling me what stats to level with each weapon or how to modify them. If it was at least conveyed and written in a relatively normal way instead of a being the most "quirk chungus" ♥♥♥♥ ever. Apparently there was enough dev time to change every single UI element into a "joke" (being really generous here) but not enough time to, yknow, put in a tool tip for what the modifiers do? IDK. The core game is fine, but the entire "flavor" of the game is just wrong ad annoying. This feels like a good game idea executed by the most annoying kid you ever met, and it comes across in the final product.
The first game was better, it didn't backseat game you with a forced tutorial. There's actually a forum post full of players complaining about it and the dev locked it.

Jester character opens browser links to suspicious URLs without user consent. This is a huge violation of trust, privacy, and cybersecurity. It also rapidly spams open the windows, consuming CPU and RAM, until you force quit the game. This violation of trust makes me wonder if there's secretly a cryptominer running in the game too. Hopefully they remove this from the game. Edit (developer responded): Developer: "it doesn't spam open windows, and it only opens YouTube videos. You are very dramatic and can't take a joke. People without a sense of humour who think games are attacking their computer should not be playing my games." My update: You're wrong, it literally kept opening up windows. Maybe this wasn't intentional, but it literally would not stop opening windows until I force quit the application. I recommend you investigate this and patch the bug, since I really liked Genome Guardian 1 (and bought copies for all my friends), and I would like to enjoy this new version. Maybe there's a bug in your code you missed. I recommend taking reviews like this seriously, rather than dismissing your customers out of hand. Dismissing valid concerns doesn't build trust, it loses it.
Great game, Dont force a tutorial on me.
It's Genome Guardian with even more stuff. If you played the first Genome Guardian, you already know that's a really good thing. If you haven't: this game is a roguelite wave survival game with a weapon fusion & upgrade system that gives you a million bajillion different options for powering up your weapons during a run, on top of a million bajillion different options for your character/perks/etc on a run-to-run basis. These options are substantial, some to the point of creating an entirely unique playstyle. If you like experimenting with different bonuses, mixing and matching stuff to see what happens and how strong you can get, you'll probably like this game. Also, the dev (solo dev, I think? forgive me if I'm wrong) presents information in-game in a way that's very candid and, at times, witty, which I really appreciate - I like when games kinda pull down the veil between the developer and player and talk to the player directly, makes it feel more... "human", I guess? Anyways, in summary, this is an excellent sequel to a game that was already excellent.
I know the "Jester" guardian is meant to be joke, but opening a web browser to a random link unprompted seems risky. All other aspects seem good, but opening links unwarranted just sours the game.
This is the type of game that makes other games redundant. I don't think I'm ever going to use the word perfect in reference to a game unless it's this game here.
I was impressed by this game from the beginning but then... I witnessed Jester guardian 🤡 I mean, the game can get visually intense and drop absolute bangers during normal play, sure. But Jester is something else - a descent to madness through total sensoric overload with extreme attention to detail. Possibly the very peak of both art and insanity. May Alpherior live long and prosper so he can share more of his genius (and insanity) with us!
This game is genuinely insane with the amount of playtime, play styles, and customizations it offers you. Upgrades and achievements galore. Lore, chaos, and comedy on the side, and awesome songs from a variety of artists. Definitely worth the price. The demo was enough to get me hooked, and checking in on how the game has been dedicatedly expanded since then has only continued to blow me away. Only thing I regret is not putting in a good review sooner.
