Genesis Rising

This game was OK when it was new. I remember I picked it up back then and got decently far into the campaign. The "living ships" approach is nice, though the ships only move on the X and Y axes. The problem is, after the tutorials, you make a couple of Paragon/Renegade decisions in conversations and then the first map loads. And just the first map. As in, nothing but the first map. Your ship, the one you're in, the one you use to explore the stones in the first map? Not there. NO SHIPS SPAWN. This is apparently a common problem with this old-game port. I've yet to find a fix. Since there's no mid-mission save system, you're up a creek with *just* the paddle and literally no boat. Unplayable! Pity, i always wanted to finish this one, just to see where it landed on an ending.

I wish another game like this would be created. The concept of organic ships and these ship designs were always so freaking cool to me and i wish this game got more optimization and love cause as a child i loved this game and i play rarely now but hopping in to do a random skirmish is still a little refreshing.

I like this game. It*s very fun to play and challenging if you dare to raise the difficulty. Despite it*s age it does not cause eye cancer either.

I enjoyed this game when it came out back in the day and was excited to play it again. I can not begin to describe how upset i am with steam and the developer for having a completely broken game that doesn't work for sale! If you buy this after all the warnings and negative reviews, you deserve to be fleeced. It is completely unethical that this game is on here in it's current state. Honestly, I think this is criminal behavior on the part of Steam, Metamorf, and THQ Nordic! DO NOT BUY!

Clunky and very dull. Controls are very smooshed together and hard to use quickly. Very low resolution everything it seems. Low picture quality of items. Not much detail put into the overall quality,
