Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,402 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

(Mixed.) The only Gears of War game I've ever played. Overall it's competent, but this is my second time trying to complete the game and once again the campaign is dragging its feet before it even reaches the halfway point. On the second highest difficulty, the game's still too easy thanks to some easily exploitable strategies: Jack's stun+poison is straight up broken, squad overwatching the only pathway is also an easy win, knockback passive makes overwatching even more exploitable... Ironman and Insane modes will punish you with game over screens since none of the story characters (which show up in most missions, unlike XCOM) are allowed to die; and sometimes you'll just suddenly take a bad hit from a sniper, or discover a new stage/enemy mechanic the hard way; so I'm not willing to treat the game as seriously as XCOM either. Not that Gears Tactics has war simulation mechanics outside of missions anyway. I enjoyed Tactics at first but it doesn't really advance much beyond "oh this actually works, that's pretty cool." Everything I like about Gears Tactics I'm pretty sure is also in mainline Gears of Wars games; so I'm increasingly at the point where I just want to play a real one instead? Sure seems like Tactics is just worth a few hours of curiosity and that's it. Not sure if I'll finish it this time either. If Microsoft wants me to actually finally play Gears of War, then maybe they should actually port the games of this two decade old series to PC already like they did for Halo. Just ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ saying...

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Picked this up on sale for $15 and I think it is well worth that price. As a tactics game it checks many of the boxes I'm looking for, perhaps most importantly a flexible and well functioning turn system that is also very clear with its numbers. Whenever I botched a round or was less effective than I could have been, it's because I missed/forgot something, not because the game was hiding information from me. I really appreciate this because it is after all about using tactics, which you can't do if you're not armed with information. So that's the most important aspect for me, and I liked what this game offered. Production values were surprisingly good and appropriately matched a Gears game. I felt it fit the universe and overall things looked pretty good. The story is probably the weakest part of the game, but I didn't expect much from a Gears game anyway and honestly it was adequately done, including pretty decent work on the part of the voice actors. Between missions you get new equipment and new recruits to fill out your roster. The equipment is fun and between it and the different classes, the game allows for many different playstyles to flourish. Some missions have restrictions or incentives on who you can bring and that helps to mix things up, but for the most part you'll use your story characters with recruits as fill-ins. Leveling is important after all and recruits will regularly fall behind just to be replaced by the fresh meat you earn after each mission. That part takes some getting used to for those who like a fixed team the whole way, but it's a minor issue. All in all, I'd recommend the game to tactics fans, and you can't go wrong if you pick it up on sale.
Don't think I've ever asked for a refund so fast. Couldn't play without a separate Xbox Live account login when I'm playing it through Steam? No.
Leider ist ein microsoft account obligat. Sehr schade.

Requires an Xbox account for no f*cking reason on first boot. Garbage plain and simple.

PROS: no sabría decir.
Ignore the Mostly Positive, this game rocks. The most aggressive tactics game I have ever played. If you like Gears, even if you hate turn based, this is pretty great. It is occasionally a tiny tiny bit buggy but never game breakingly so. This deserves a lot more love. Seriously, I have never played a more accessible tactics game, and one which has this much "it is so over" and "we are so back": in the same turn.
