Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 14 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

I hate games that force you to change characters against your wishes
I don’t like the turn based games that much, but this one is really good and definitely deserves a sequel. The lore and all the units are great. I just wish they’d make one like Halo Wars but for Gears of War.
That was fun. A solid tactical team based strategy game. I bit of jank but mostly fine, captures the Gears world perfectly and of these XCOM'likes this felt different enough, certainly more aggressive and action packed (like the world). The last boss took a few runs (including a 3am run), there is an end game + to go get boosted loot but I cba. Moving on to Phoenix Point now likely. 4/5 Patties 🍔
Great game
Прикольный пошаговый боевик
What I Liked: • Gears of War aesthetic and sound • customization is great, especially with the random recruit Gears What I Didn’t Like: • mission types are repeated ad nauseam • "banning" Gears for certain missions • upgrades don't feel impactful
Solid turn based strategy game with all the flair and aesthetics we love from Gears. Graphical presentation is pretty good, but a shame you can't freely control the camera to appreciate it properly.
Gears Tactics is a very fun if flawed xcom clone. I think it's about on par with something like halo wars which is another xbox ip that span off into a genre primarily played on pc that's surprising fun but ultimately not the best in class for the genre it's representing. I think this is the perfect game for someone who's either looking to get into the trpg genre or someone who's played so much xcom that they need something a bit different to cleanse their pallet before doing another iron-man run on xcom. Before talking negatives I will say this is a positive review and I do recommend it and wish for a sequel after enjoying my time with it. Whilst I'm about to list a fair few negatives this game does have a lot of things i wish xcom did, mostly superficial things like gore, swearing and a gritty story but they do count and I was also impressed with the fun customisation and satisfying if simple combat. The reason however this is nothing more than a diet xcom is due to how shallow the game is, you can only ever have 4 squad members, there is only 5 classes with very limited weapons, environments aren't destructible, battlefields are incredibly bland and there is no ticking time bomb that can end a run causing a restart. Then there are the things that are just bad even when not compared to xcom, mainly the fact the game will force you to do side quests which by the last act of the game get incredibly tedious due to the limited number of objectives and enemies avaliable. However, despite my criticism this is still a fun game, sure I'm a gears fan but I think even just your general xcom enjoyer will find some fun. Flawed but definitely worth a playthrough and I do hope we see a sequel at some point but does come across as more Mario + Rabbids than Xcom.
