If you are playing Solo, The AI IS HORRID, and the Insta Kills get Really annoying, The game does Crash from time to time, Sometimes you die and you reset 2 checkpoints back meaning you have to redo a very tough section AGAIN.... OVERALL THE SINGLE PLAYER EXPERINCE IS NOT WORTH IT. The game needs fixed the ai needs worked on rather than untouched and left to rot as your teamates are far far more than braindead but just pure trying to get themselves killed every fight without ever doing damage. MP welp cool who cares? At least there are no Microtransactions.... PLAY THE GAME PURELY FOR MP weather COOP Campaign or PVP but as for singleplayer this was a very stressfull and unfun and just horrid experince to be had.

Superb , since it's 2006 release, when l first got it along with the Xbox 360...it's still one of my favorite games l ever played..10000000/10
I recommend you play with an Xbox controller because there's a part of the game where controller vibrators are advantageous. Fun game. My first time playing this game, and this remaster is a great way to experience it. Well optimized (perfect 60fps). Took me eight hours to beat mostly on normal difficulty. I turned down to casual for the final boss. Many negative reviews mention a lack of split-screen co-op (coop as many spell it) and that's a respectable criticism, but other reviews criticize the art direction. I never played this game on Xbox 360, but I think the game looks fantastic. If the game had the very exact same style, there'd be less reason for many people to buy it. Even they who say the original is what they want wouldn't want to spend any money for the same art style. Demon's Souls on PS5 got the same attention and I love the PS5 and PS3 games. I'm not entirely against this way of thinking though as I can understand it a little. I saw a bit of Dark Souls Remastered and thought that version was very weird looking. Also, I wonder what people are doing to get bad frame-rates. Honestly I did experience the second to last cutscene being very choppy while I got the game installed on a hard drive. Besides that though, it's very smooth for me. People should list their graphics settings and always list their specs made from Steam, or else I could also think they got malware.
One of the best game franchises every made. Period.
if you have never played it yes its good if you have save your money -THE AI is so bad i think they down graded it enemies either bum rush you all at one time and you die or they sit in cover and never leave its a flip of the coin and sometimes the ally ai will just sit in a corner somewhere -SO MANY bugs are still here collision bugs being SUPER noticeable -enemies will just like aim bot you and 1 shot you outa no where or spawn like ON TOP of you and you just die If you have never played it and its your only way of playing 1 then sure get it but it is a very low effort remake/remaster whatever they said it was idk

Times like these I wish Steam had a maybe option. The game itself is great, gears 1 is still a really fun game, but this version is not even really worth it. Although 2 & 3 smash 1 in my opinion, 1 had to run so 2 & 3 could walk, so it gets a solid pass in my book despite only being about 5 hours long, even if it is 5 great hours. The thing that bugs me is that we already had a gears 1 remaster that felt superior to this version. I noticed tons of bugs and graphical errors in the reloaded version which made me question even more why we even needed this. I love gears of war but I wouldn't recommended picking up Gears of war reloaded unless it's on sale and your looking to play gears 1 with a "fresh coat of paint"
