Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4/day in the week to Aug 14 → 33.14/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

This remaster isn't even good enough to wipe your ass with. The work that is put into it is only to look good on the outside, nothing else, which also creates more problems. Ai are as dum as shovels and useless as even the enemy ones. If I had a shovel, it would be more useful, even if it didn't do anything. Splash damage does not exist. New bugs that you have to change your settings to work and whatnot. More problems than game. All you find are tags that unlock a quarter of the comics that exist. And sometimes there's a bug that prevents you from reading. I found them all on the internet. The game has a campaign and multiplayer, which are just for beauty, if it were serious it would have bots. Then what's the point of anti-cheats. The game is not bad, simple shooting, short, few weapons, few enemies, like regular old shooting games. There are two minuses, one is that there are either few enemies or none at all, this may be due to the difficulty level. The second is that there are a lot of places for one-hit death, which is just annoying. The only plus or minus is that they may release the other parts but they will probably look just as bad or even worse. From barely 10 gigabytes for the game to 70 just for looks. I bought it for 10 euros but even that is a lot for nothing. Just a pathetic remaster, not the game, I wouldn't recommend it.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Only grab this up if it's on a minimal 10$ sale homies. I've played through each version of GOW & this version is practically the original with a face lift, so you get what's expected plus some minor extras are present like multiplayer weapon skins & unlockable comics. Other than looking a bit cleaner graphically it doesn't stray far at all from the OG art style unless you miss muddy textures with an overlaid grain effect on everything, gameplay is the same GOW basics fans are accustom to. You get a solid campaign that still holds up playable in single or co-op with one of the sweatiest PVP multiplayers, new players will have a difficult time since lobbies are mostly filled with the exact type of players you would expect to still be playing & trying so hard.
I never played the original GoW and I´m only recommending this game based in the story campaign, as i usually don´t care about multiplayer. However, i do have some complains. First, some of the checkpoints are very annoying, locate just before cutscenes (luckily this are skippable) Second, in at least three occasion an enemy was able to attack me while my character was talking through the radio, incapable of defending himself and barely able to move.
pro's only shtick
For those who don't know this is not a remake, this is a remaster of the original 2006 game and wow did they do a great job game is such incredible attention to detail in its graphics. As someone who never played gears before, its ok. its gameplay is pretty basic, I understand at the time this was a huge thing and next games in the series improves on things, but it would have been nice if it had more gameplay depth like new weapons or better melee or somthing. The heavy movement is mostly ok though it can be frustrating when you are trying to dodge away from a enemy when you get it and sometimes it just doesn't work. melee is pretty bad as its just hold down the button and run into an enemy for a animation. Its story was also fine i guess, it wasn't bad but i wasn't really invested. the biggest issue in my opinion for most people who play this is the level design is 2006 so its very very very repetitive not just in the actual shooting but in the same environments as well against the same 4 enemy types. And its such a shame cuz i really liked the locust section of the game as it did switch things up, but only happens for one level and never seen again. Overall its a excellent remaster as the game looks amazing, but since this was the first game in the series it does get boring after a while, but looking it in the context of 2006 this was groundbreaking. Believe it or not I actually enjoyed Inversion more, yes its story is really stupid and yes it gets repetitive too, but there is better movement, more weapons, better 3rd person cover shooting overall, special powers and better bosses. I'd recommend people trying that game
I'm only recommending this on a caveat, and I have not played the multiplayer yet, so this is based on campaign only. I bought it for £10 just to play the campaign again. And I'm aware I'm ragging on an old game, but bear with me here. I started the game on the second last difficulty and that was my first mistake. Don't get me wrong, if you've played Gears games before, it's actually fairly easy. Nail your active reloads, prioritise anything that can instakill you, respect the gnasher, use the right tool for the job etc etc. What makes it a nightmare is actually Marcus and his merry band of porn stars (Them. It's entirely them). See, the AI in this game is abysmal. I probably didn't notice this when I played it as a kid, but your squad will spend more time on their hands and knees in front of big, burly grey dudes than actually fighting. They read a battlefield like Helldivers 2 players read in general; They can't. Snipers? Let's stand out in the open! Drones with gnashers and a horde of wretches? Sit back and let them get close, then stare at them hoping they die. Every now and again they will be useful, but other than that? Worthless. Dom's weirdly the worst, like his code is even more ♥♥♥♥♥♥ than the rest. He plays like a Sierra main in Overwatch. Does this cute left right strafe, gets cocky, runs head first into 5 enemies, dies and then sits and whines about it while you're left to pick up the pieces. How you're supposed to get anything done on harder difficulties is beyond me. Gotta restore powe- Dom's dead, can't. Holy crap, that's a Brum- Ope, Dom's dead. "Marcus, I want a baby" "Sorry Anya, Dom's dead again". Maybe this was subtle foreshadowing for the future games, who knows. He also gets stuck constantly so it's more like a horror game where the other person conveniently can't come with you, but instead of cardboard boxes and clingfilm blocking their way to you, Dom's superglued his ass to a wall again. My advice is this: If you've never played a GoW game before, set it to one of the first two difficulties so you can enjoy the story and the banter and the characters. That's what's great about this game. You won't be sweating your ass off and pulling your hair out while your team of Joe Swanson impersonators crawl around on the floor like Velma just dropped her glasses. Overall, the story's great, the characters are great, from what I remember way back the multiplayer was hella fun but the campaign is a drag.
NNICE! Even better than I remembered! One of the old but gold coop games.
