Prices
The United States storefront in every case, so this compares stores and not countries.
Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3/day in the week to Jul 30 → 33.14/day in the week after.
Too few observations to say whether a discount moves this store's chart at all: across the last 30 days Steam · Top Sellers · Poland has just 18 day-to-day chart moves that followed a price cut, against 2,498 that did not. We are publishing the count instead of a direction — 20 is the fewest we will draw a conclusion from, and price collection outside the United States began on 6 August 2026.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

play 3 i didnt want to krill myself after and it has beastmode
As someone who's played all of the Gears games... this one was undeserving of the hate it received. While yes, Gears 3 was peak gaming and an excellent conclusion to the Locust War, the time skip to fight a new enemy didn't sully the story prior, but instead paved a new one. The actual gameplay of this game is butter with a large roster of characters and weapons. Horde remains a solid staple while having interesting changes, Escape is a fun new PvE mode to challenge players post campaign, and the PvP stays visceral. Gears 4 dragged its heels and jumped on the lootbox bandwagon, casting a shadow over the IP, but they still delivered with 5 and hope to see a 6 in the future. The "open world" areas were my largest negative for the game, exploring new things is healthy for a franchise that's been around this long, but the implementation didn't really stick and took away from the fast moving cover battles we play for. Replaying at the moment to satiate while I wait for E-day. It's been on some deep sales, and at that price point *especially* I can't recommend it enough. You don't get this scale and quality of content at those price points basically anywhere.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 23: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Gears 5 is a recommendation from me if we are talking gameplay alone. Often on sale and with insane replayability, Gears 5 is the best playing in the franchise so far with a wealth of unlockables, maps and gamemodes. It is a bit dead if you enjoy PvP with only certain gamemodes populated but Horde is the best it's ever been with a level of depth that is missed when going back to older titles. Gameplay is also incredibly smooth with the only downside being a narrative that just isn't that good. Gears 5 is the continuation of JD, Kat and Del's story, it's sets itself up to tell a darker story than Gears 4 and also remove 'of war' from the title to serve as some kind of jumping off point for the franchise despite it also having a 5 in the title and being a direct sequel. Look I'm be real with you and say the story sucks. It feels like the coalition did their best after writing themselves in a corner. Characters are good and we even get some old favourites rock up and get paid decent respect but as this all just feels like a tacked story to the original gears games it's hard to actually care. What this game also does it delve into the Locust origin which just isn't good and somewhat ruins the nature of them, this was an original trilogy problem as well which stems from gears 2 but ultimately they double down on the dumb stuff that ruins the mystique of the Locust. We do get good character moments and some decent gameplay but ultimately the open world adds nothing, fighting robots is lame, the Swarm are just overall less interesting and the final decision is honestly quite bizarre. Gameplay is king and as mentioned this is a strong game. Whilst initially incredibly lackluster at launch with barley any content, this has been addressed over the game's life span, really my only complaint with content is that battle pass content should have come back but is now lost forever. Shooting and wall bouncing has never felt so good and with the addition of pulling people over cover and stun kicking people with vault kick, it just felt like a natural progression. New weapons are interesting and maps fun and varied. So whilst this isn't the direction I wanted the story to go it is still a fun playing game stuffed with fan service and plenty of game modes to keep you busy. A bit of a miss in all honesty but still fun nonetheless.
DLC太爽了!
its a good game, the campaign is 7/10 at best due to leftist political undertones but the gameplay is fun and it has cool moments towards the end. multiplayer is fun but relatively unbalanced if you want to take it seriously there is also no real ranked system. garbage microtransaction system and store, bad customization and almost no progression. only buy if u are a fan of the series, DO NOT buy as a first gears of war game.
⭐⭐⭐⭐☆ (4/5 stars) I can't say I'm a hardcore Gears of War fan. I only played one of the older Gears games a long time ago, and I bought Gears 5 because it looked like the best one. I really enjoyed the campaign and the story. The game looks beautiful, and I didn't experience any bugs or technical issues during my playthrough. Everything ran smoothly, which made the experience even more enjoyable. I didn't play the DLC because it didn't seem interesting enough to me. I also skipped the online multiplayer since I've heard it has had some issues, and I generally don't enjoy playing games like this online anyway. Overall, Gears 5 is a very enjoyable game with a great campaign, impressive visuals, and solid gameplay. I can definitely recommend it, especially if you're mainly interested in the single player experience.
Топ, но почти все акты играть за бабу, такое себе..
The good: Gameplay is smooth and the game has a good amount of content, even letting you play online multiplayer with bots since the servers are either super high ping or cheaters nowadays The bad: This like 4, does not feel like Gears of War in tone. style or it's awful writing and characters. Again like 4 the story is completely unresolved and I just don't care at all I'm glad we've moved onto E Day. The game has some really bad enemy encounters too, whoever made the Flocks absolutely loved them because they show up constantly and suck to fight especially on higher difficulties To sum up, if you're looking for a fun 3rd person shooter that you can play with friends then get this on sale, If you're looking for a good Gears game, look elsewhere.
