我想大部分人都是为了童年补票 现在我可以轻易的通关 但再也没有朋友和我一起分享这份快乐 欲买桂花同载酒 终不似 少年游
Fajn jednoduchá oddechová hra. Nice and simple relaxing game.
At 71.9 hours the game has stopped launching. I have did all troubleshooting including fresh install of my operating system. So it feels like I effectively rented the game and my play time was up. The funny part is I was trying to show it to some of peeps telling them how fun it was.

A perfectly serviceable, but otherwise utterly unremarkable, twin-stick shooter. Not particularly complex in terms of progression or gameplay, but it’s short enough that it doesn’t really have to be. Very little in the way of replay value, though. 5/10
Gatling Gears is an ancient console (PS3) game from 2011. It's a whopping 13 years old at the time of this review. The game lacks support for the typical features of modern gaming PCs, hasn't been modernised or updated to run smoothly on contemporary machines. The game looks and feels dated. Despite this lack of modernisation, it carries a pretty high price tag for such an old game. This seems to have be lingering on Steam with an inflated price to try profit from abandonware. The game does work, and while it's looking a bit dated it did have AAA production value on the visuals so it's not exactly an eyesore. This game has you controlling a little cartoony mecha/robot and blowing up cutesy looking tanks and things... kind of like they ripped off the art style for Metal Slug. The kicker is more just the shallow, consoleqsue gameplay isn't offering a great deal for gamers, especially when coupled with the console centric design and implementation defects. From a technical perspective, the game doesn't meet basic minimum requirements that most PC gamers expect as standard. The developers didn't design the game for modern gaming PCs, as such the display resolution caps out at 1080p, a very low resolution that became mainstream back in 2006 and became obsolete when 4K entered the mainstream in 2014. The game simply won't look right on modern gaming displays due to this failure on the part of the developers. The controls can't be customised, which will be an annoyance for many, but it can also render the game unplayable for differently-abled gamers, left handed gamers or gamers using AZERTY or other international keyboard layouts. Because this is designed for consoles, it carries a number of deliberate design deficiencies. Compromises were made to cater to the inferior console gaming appliances that the game was designed for. These are unfortunate compromises and limitations that PC gamers shouldn't be forced to accept, but it's evident that PC was a second thought for the console-centric developers. The game is deficient as a result of these choices, and would have been so much better without the handicaps that designing games for consoles forces upon a game. Once more, console peasants have made gaming worse for everyone. These technical defects push this game below acceptable standards for any modern PC game. Gatling Gears didn't appeal much to the people who own a copy of the game, either. It has achievements, and they show us a very clear picture that the game didn't really capture any interest from gamers. The most commonly and easily attained achievement is for finishing the tutorial, trivial to get, but less than 24 percent of players bothered to get that far before uninstalling the game. Hardly a success story, gamers just weren't all that interested in the game. Reviewing SteamDB to check how popular this game was with players reveals a surprise... there's a modest spike in player counts for the game. But this only happened once, around the same time that trading cards were applied to the game... so this is just card idlers getting their cards and moving on. A closer look at the numbers shows the game just has a couple of players every week running up the game and idling it for cards, then deleting it. We must ask how it benefits gamers for there to be so many games like this, with no merit as a serious game, that only generate sales from people idling and selling the trading cards. So, should you buy this game? Is this one of the best of the 100,000+ games on Steam? Gatling Gears is relatively expensive for an abandonware nostalgia gouge, at $10 USD, and it's not worth it. The game is just too old, hasn't been modernised. And as the old saying goes, you can't go home again. This is also competing with over 11,000 free games available on Steam, many of them far better than this paid product.
This is a fun, frantic and destructive bullet storm style mech walker game. The art style is nice, game mechanics or good. story developes well. so good i bought it on 2 platforms.
Gatling Gears, developed and published by Vanguard Games, is a polished twin-stick shooter that leans fully into its arcade roots, delivering a steady stream of explosions, enemy waves, and mechanical chaos. Set in a stylized dieselpunk world, the game places you in control of a heavily armed walking machine, marching through enemy territory with one clear purpose: destroy everything in your path. While the narrative follows a familiar arc of resistance against industrial oppression, it remains largely secondary to the action, functioning more as a thematic backdrop than a central pillar of the experience. The gameplay is where Gatling Gears truly shines, built around a responsive and satisfying control scheme that separates movement and aiming into two distinct inputs. This allows players to weave through incoming fire while maintaining a constant offensive presence, creating a rhythm that feels both dynamic and intuitive. The mechanics are easy to pick up, making the game approachable even for those new to the genre, but they also reward precision and awareness as enemy density increases. Success often depends on reading the battlefield quickly—knowing when to advance, when to retreat, and how to position yourself to avoid overwhelming damage while keeping your guns blazing. Unlike many arena-based shooters, the game adopts a forward-moving structure that gives each level a sense of progression. Instead of being confined to a single space, players push through varied environments that range from lush greenery to icy landscapes and industrial warzones. This constant movement helps maintain engagement, as new enemy types and hazards are introduced along the way. Boss encounters punctuate these stages, offering moments that demand more deliberate strategy and sustained focus, breaking up the otherwise relentless pacing with encounters that feel more deliberate and climactic. Combat is designed to be both visually and mechanically satisfying. The screen frequently fills with projectiles, explosions, and debris, creating a sense of controlled chaos that defines the game’s identity. Enemy variety plays a key role here, with different units requiring different approaches—some demand quick elimination due to their mobility, while others serve as damage sponges that force players to commit their firepower. A scoring system tied to collecting dropped gears adds an additional layer of incentive, encouraging aggressive play and risk-taking to maintain multipliers. This transforms each encounter into more than just survival, pushing players to optimize both efficiency and style. The visual presentation complements the gameplay with a colorful and detailed aesthetic that emphasizes clarity without sacrificing personality. The dieselpunk design gives the world a distinctive flavor, blending industrial machinery with natural environments in a way that feels cohesive. However, the intensity of the action can occasionally lead to moments of visual overload, where the sheer number of effects makes it harder to track threats. The audio design, while functional and fitting for the genre, doesn’t leave a particularly strong impression, serving more as a supportive element than a standout feature. One of the game’s most enjoyable aspects is its cooperative mode, which allows two players to tackle the campaign together. This addition enhances the experience significantly, turning an already engaging shooter into something more social and chaotic in a satisfying way. Working in tandem to clear waves of enemies and survive intense encounters reinforces the arcade-inspired design philosophy. Additional modes and leaderboard systems also provide incentives for replayability, particularly for players who enjoy chasing higher scores or refining their performance. Despite its strengths, Gatling Gears does have a tendency to feel repetitive over extended play sessions. While the core mechanics remain consistently enjoyable, the game doesn’t introduce many new systems or twists as it progresses, leading to a sense of familiarity that can dull its impact over time. The lack of significant innovation means it doesn’t stand out dramatically within its genre, instead relying on solid execution rather than bold ideas. For some players, this straightforward approach will be part of its charm, while others may find themselves wishing for more variety or depth. In the end, Gatling Gears succeeds as a well-crafted and highly accessible twin-stick shooter that delivers exactly what it promises: fast-paced, satisfying action with a strong emphasis on control and flow. It may not redefine the genre, but its polished mechanics, engaging level progression, and enjoyable cooperative play make it a worthwhile experience for fans of arcade-style shooters. It’s a game that understands its strengths and leans into them confidently, offering a focused and consistently entertaining ride from start to finish. Rating: 8/10
