Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

It's a fun little game for a cheap price. I do wish the dev had picked a specific direction for the genre. It falls somewhere between an incremental clicker, and just a progression game. There's almost no difficulty to speak of, which is fine, depending on the genre. It was neat upgrading and unlocking things, but I do wish there was 'more' to it.
I've been enjoying this game. I find it a chill game to play. It doesn't need a lot of strategy to win and each race has a different challenge. The dev is active on the forums and updates the game based on player feedback which is great to see. Looking forward to see where the dev takes the gameplay.

Spent a little bit of time on this just to check out if i will like the vibe and feel of the game. For me it hits right. I'll def sit back with this one after work to relax. This whole cozy genre is starting to take off i feel like. It's probably some steam alg but i am seeing more out there and they are spreading into unexpected genres. A 4x space strategy game with light simple mechanics is feeling cozy for me and yet I still *feel* like i'm playing a grand strat game. Look i'm a 40-something dude from the US and lemme tell ya kids! When you've played the pew pew pew all your life, you might not think it'll happen, but it will. My buddies and I are complete puddle of gamer mush that's been crushed by adulthood. All you want is a simple moment with a light game like a little port in the storm. Anyway, Galactic Overthrow is the right game for all i have the energy for with a game. Cozy games are the yacht rock of gaming.
Cant recommend it at this price, only took a little bit over an hour to 100% the game.
Galactic Overthrow is a compact blend of idle mechanics and space strategy that proves you do not need a massive budget or countless systems to create an engaging galactic conquest experience. Developed and published by Ace High Arcade, the game invites players to establish a fledgling interstellar civilization and gradually transform it into a dominant force across the stars. By combining empire management, technological progression, and repeatable galaxy resets, it delivers a gameplay loop that is immediately familiar to fans of incremental titles while retaining enough strategic flavor to distinguish itself from standard idle experiences. At its core, the game revolves around conquering planets, gathering resources, and unlocking technologies that strengthen your empire. Every decision contributes to a larger sense of progression, whether it is selecting the next world to invade or investing in upgrades that improve production efficiency. Galactic Overthrow embraces the philosophy that steady advancement is inherently rewarding, and it capitalizes on that concept exceptionally well. Watching your civilization evolve from modest beginnings into a sprawling galactic power creates a satisfying sense of accomplishment that remains compelling throughout much of the experience. One of the more appealing aspects of the game is its accessibility. While many space strategy games demand dozens of hours to understand their intricate mechanics, Galactic Overthrow presents a more relaxed alternative. The systems are straightforward, making it easy for newcomers to grasp, yet there is still room for optimization as players experiment with different approaches to expansion. Galactic jumps, which function similarly to prestige systems found in other incremental games, add longevity by encouraging repeated runs with accumulated knowledge and advantages. This mechanic ensures that each new attempt feels meaningful rather than repetitive. The technology system serves as the backbone of progression, constantly giving players new objectives to pursue. Unlocking advanced capabilities and discovering increasingly valuable planets keeps the pacing brisk, while achievements provide additional incentives to explore every aspect of the game. The campaign structure is intentionally concise, making Galactic Overthrow a title that can comfortably be enjoyed in short sessions. It respects the player's time without sacrificing the addictive qualities that define the incremental genre. From a presentation standpoint, the game adopts a minimalist approach. Its interface prioritizes clarity, ensuring that resources, upgrades, and conquest opportunities are easy to identify at a glance. The visuals may not rival larger space epics, but they effectively support the gameplay. There is a certain charm in its simplicity, and the clean design helps maintain focus on the strategic and management elements. The soundtrack and overall atmosphere complement the experience, creating a laid-back environment that pairs well with the game's methodical pace. Despite its strengths, Galactic Overthrow does have limitations. Players looking for deep diplomacy systems, extensive storytelling, or highly detailed fleet management may find the game lacking in complexity. The emphasis on automation and numerical growth means that some late-game sections can begin to feel repetitive, particularly for those who are not already invested in incremental mechanics. However, these shortcomings are largely a consequence of the game's intended scope rather than poor design choices. Ace High Arcade clearly set out to create an accessible and replayable strategy experience, and the final product succeeds on those terms. Ultimately, Galactic Overthrow is an enjoyable and well-crafted fusion of idle progression and space conquest. It understands its niche and delivers an experience tailored to players who appreciate watching numbers climb while steadily expanding their influence across the galaxy. Though it may not revolutionize the genre, it offers enough charm, replayability, and strategic decision-making to earn a place among noteworthy indie incremental titles. For fans of casual management games and streamlined 4X-inspired experiences, Galactic Overthrow is an easy recommendation that provides several hours of satisfying interstellar domination.
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vQsIYZqJGk8
Galactic Overthrow : Le 4X qui respecte votre temps

Introduction - La Conquête Spatiale à Grande Vitesse

🎯 Conclusion et Verdict

Laid back 4X - despite very little explanation, pretty easy to understand what does what (which is good design, IMO), though I still don't really know what population does. =)
Fun short game
Galactic Overthrow does a great job of blending incremental gameplay with a light 4X strategy feel. It strips away the usual micromanagement and focuses on what really matters: expanding your empire, managing resources, and unlocking new systems over time. What I really like is how approachable it is. Sessions are short, the mechanics are easy to understand, and the game gradually adds complexity without overwhelming you. The procedural galaxies and different starting conditions also give it solid replayability. If you enjoy idle or incremental games but want something with a bit more strategic depth, this is definitely worth keeping an eye on.
