Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 0.43/day in the week to Sep 8 → 0.86/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 22 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,513 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Очень достойная стратегия. Вспоминается Master of Orion.

AMAZING DEPTH AND FUN!
From what the other reviews are saying, we should be playing Galactic Civilizations II instead of this. Otherwise we need to spend a $100 to get what the developers left out of the game. There is a lot of DLC. It is expensive. I kind of wish I could buy Gal. Civ II instead. Alas, Steam doesn't offer it. so I play this one. I happen to like most of it. You can design your own ships. Also, I like the modular approach to your space stations, where you add components for defense, manufacturing, and so on. The research tree is extensive and allows for specialization. As for the controls, they are easier to understand than a lot of more popular 4k. There are some troubling aspects to the game, however. The computer seems to have a definite edge over the player, expanding faster in every way: tech, planets, warships. Never a fast builder, I found myself hopelessly behind in every way. Traveling across the galaxy proved troubling once I got to a certain point. Did I need to update my engines? Did I need to find a wormhole? It became very frustrating not being able to easily explore the galaxy. Most troubling: the price. This game has been out since before covid or the release of the last Star Wars movie, but they still want $40 for this. Then there are the endless DLC. For the price of all the DLC you could buy two more full price games. conclusion looks good with an easy interface. However, it cost way too much. Get it on sale.
As much as I would like to, I cannot give this game a good rating. I like it very much in all respects except one, unfortunately a key one. Stardock completely fails to balance the difficulty level in its games. They are so fanatical about fulfilling the masochistic fetishes of hardcore gamers that they forget that there are other people who would like to enjoy entertainment on a difficulty level for normal people. Why does the easy level give you the feeling of constantly fighting for survival, just for not playing according to the only right optimal path? In addition, as usual the game achieves this ‘entertainment level’ not by good AI decisions, but because the AI breaks the rules of the game. How is someone new supposed to start playing it and learning if even at the lowest level he has to comprehend optimally thousands of things in order not to be blown away by the AI. By the way, the AI in this game is as dumb as a bucket of herrings, only stronger than the player because it simply cheats. Really, it's no fun.
