About
Welcome to Funnel Runners, where you will have your first on-site deployment with APEX Storm Monitoring Services.
A high-priority F5 tornado is approaching, and we are counting on you (and up to 7 fellow friends) to collect data, scavenge necessary information, and, of course, survive.

The weather is your worst enemy here. Tornados and storms will spawn randomly, grow stronger over time, and tear the whole map apart. Buildings will collapse piece by piece, and items will no longer be found in destroyed areas, so you must adapt quickly. Be careful not to be swept up by the wind; you may not be found again.

In this mission, you can team up with 7 other players or tackle it solo. Share gadgets, split up to cover more ground, collect necessary information and items to fix the van before the situation turns bad.
With realistic graphics and a first-person perspective, the experience brings you close to every gust of wind, distant siren, and falling piece of debris.

Scavenge the collapsing city for scattered vehicle parts, fuel, and tools. These items will allow you to repair your van and help you survive the storm. Each playthrough features randomized environments, weather, items, and problems to solve on your vehicle. No playthrough will be the same.

the spawning for items is super inconsistent- the mini game is legit the same thing as dbd and its super delayed meaning you have to hit before it even reaches the green. You can't run this solo or even with a small group. I love the concept but jeez man I haven't raged in a long time and this game did it for me. only positive I can give it is the fact the atmosphere
The game is pretty well made, but the gameplay loop is only exciting the first few times. There is only one objective to the game, fix your van and get out. If the game had different objective types, like you have to do a rescue mission, it would be a lot better. The biggest disappointment for me was the fact that you couldn't operate the van at all. It says "fix your van, and escape the brutal tornado that approaches," but once you're done collecting all the items, it just teleports you back. Pretty unrewarding in my opinion.
Was fun for the first couple runs, then tornados keep getting spammed even on training mode and nothing to grind for. Will change review once more content surfaces and some tweaking to difficulty can be made because it's a pretty leap forward changing difficulty, feels like it's made for more players and ofcourse it is considering the 8 player maximum but for small groups doesn't feel quite fair as far. Is there also a chance that inventory space scales with the amount of players because the item spawn is RNG and can sometimes take up way too much time to keep moving fourth and back, one tire and you get a movement penalty and cannot carry anything else anymore, at least one spot for like an umbrella because the rain in some cases can do damage
black screens :((
Fantastic black screen simulator. From the first moment you launch the game you are greeted with an exciting black screen, it doesn't go away and nothing fixes it. This is the game for me 10/10.
Please wait for a sale, or more content
Funnel Runners is a unique and interesting concept, and I fully believe this game can be good. I do hope to one day come back to this review to change this to a positive. But I was tired after the first 30 minutes, that the next 30 felt more like a chore than a game. At the moment, however, this game feels like a scam. I really hate having to say that, since I always try to find good in games. I cannot, in any faith, let people spend their money on a game that has less content than Steam Next Fest demos. There are many other good games to play over this for less. I cannot, in any way possible, agree with the price point. $15 is way too much for a game like this. I prefer not to refund games, but I could not accept the fact that this game is an actual demo, and should not be sold at this moment. The receptiveness is horrible, and I have played 200 hours of Lethal Company and other lethal likes. I enjoyed those games because of the amount of content, the moddibility, and the challenge to get a better score. This game is not rewarding, and feels like actual slop currently. I only played around an hour with friends, and as far as I am aware, there is only 1 map (there was a ? mark for another, I do not know if there is another in the game, but if I am spending $15 on a game, I would prefer more than 1 map after playing an hour.) While Lethal, Repo, and even Phasmophobia have scoring and rewarding, this game did too, but it was, well, bad. You never feel rewarded, which is what makes the games mentioned earlier fun. The whole game loop is: 1. Go into storm 2. Run around neighborhood finding stuff to repair your truck 3. Leave 4. Repeat again. I get a lot of the lethal or friend games are kind of the same, but there is so much more to it. This game just feels like a giant fetch quest. To make it more aggravating, you only get 3 equipment slots. That is limited, but is fine, except 75% of the items take up 2 or all 3 of these slots. It gets aggravating having to grab a tire, take it back to the truck, then go back to the house, grab the jack, take it back to the truck. Then, you go back to the same house, grab a toolbox, take it back to the truck. Finally you can repair the tire. The storage box isn't even a storage box. They shouldn't even call it that because YOU CANNOT STORE ANY GEAR. The whole purpose of the box is to store documents you find laying around. These documents (tapes, files, newspapers) do not actually do anything except give you some extra XP at the end. At least the bones in Phasmophobia did not take up an inventory slot, and it felt fun trying to scavenge for them. Every time you do a task, you are met with a quick time event. EVERY TIME. This wouldn't be an issue if there was actual some variety in them, but it is always the same thing. You are met with a circle with a green spot that you have to hit, and you have to do this for every task. It is so boring, failing doesn't do a thing except make you start over. I would rather spend time trying to lockpick a door in Fallout than do these dumb quick time events. I am sorry to the developers, but this is not a good state for the game at all to be released. For $15, you are selling a demo. I played demos from the Steam Next Fest that had way more content than this game did. I am telling every customer that right now, you can spend the same amount of money an a large number of coop games that have 10x the content this game does and way more replayability. I genuinely question if some of these reviewers are actually real people or not because the game is such a scam in its current state.
