Очень стилевая игра c не менее классным саундтреком. Платформинг - приятный, особенно если получается скипнуть небольшую часть уровня, либо совершая точные прыжки во второй половине игры. Искать секреты и болтать с неписями одно удовольствие. [hr][/hr] Very funky game with groovy soundtrack. Platforming feels good, especially skipping small parts of a level or making tight jumps in the second half of the game. I enjoyed exploring levels talking to everybody and looking for secrets.

Not the game for me. Feels very unpolished, like an admittedly talented developer's senior capstone that needed a little more playtesting and critical feedback. I say this as someone who saw the game promoted on Bluesky and let it sit in my wishlist since launch last fall. (I didn't have time or I'd have bought it sooner.) It's *very* pretty, the music is phenomenal, and enjoyable voice acting. But the dialogue missed the mark (a generational thing? Or subcultural?), there are many quality of life tweaks needed (and spell check; level select for instance), and the platforming was grating. On that last point, I just didn't like the bunny hop mechanic. It felt like I was balancing its "slipperiness" instead of my own skill. (I've been playing Neon White lately and I grew up with old console platformers, so you'll just have to trust me on the feel of the mechanic. And on a side note, the level design did remind me of those old console platformers in a good way.) I won't comment on the story, as I didn't put enough time into the game. But other reviews sound like the story was a major draw for them. Had I been smart, I'd have downloaded the demo first. I recommend others do exactly that before buying. If the dev reads this, please don't take it as discouraging. I seriously dig what you were going for here. I just wish I enjoyed it more. EDIT: Worth noting too that the application icon (the one in the taskbar) is the default Unreal Engine icon. In alignment with some of the other reviews mentioning poor performance (which seem mostly solved by limiting the framerate), it makes me wonder if other aspects weren't configured properly in the engine. I wish I had more info to give but check out some guides on optimizing your build.

Обзор положительный, но на самом деле игра очень средняя... Она сделана на коленке за пачку дошика, но при этом разрабы вложились в озвучку и... Опенинг..? В главном меню даже нет настроек, sfx походу для слабых, управляемость в воздухе околонулевая, а фильтры иногда буквально уничтожают твои глаза Но в то же время платформинг в целом норм, уровни разнообразные, а сам стиль приятный Ну и да, по сюжету это говно про лесбух (моё уважение) + старая как мир мысль, но спойлерить её не буду, вдруг и правда кто-то ещё её в играх не видел P.S. у многих беды с производительностью, у меня всё летало, спеки прикрепил

To Whom It May Concern, FUNKYHEART - 7.9 An absolutely killer soundtrack meets a short n' sweet "b-hop" platformer game. I'll be quite honest, FUNKYHEART is extremely simple in both premise and execution. For some aspects, this does take away from the game in a few regards: Some sections are copy and pasted straight up and down, offering very little diversity in challenge. Select areas are completely blank, offering nary even a cool looking backdrop that you want to take a screenshot of. The dialogue is choppy in locations, being a bit hard to follow even when re-reading a few times. The simplicity of the controls makes most of the levels trivial, even the final stage and the "mix" version are remarkably easy to clear. Irrespective of these, FUNKYHEART is full of a very unique style. Its brevity kept every location far from boring, and the light secret hunting encouraged trying to "break out" of the somewhat linear paths the game has you bunny hop through. Discovering there were secret documents in sometimes avant-garde positions 80% of the way through the game made me excited to go back and find all 20, with no guide! In terms of it's narrative, I found it fun! A tad bit shallow, but fun! I do wish more of the storytelling was environmental in nature, the game's almost walking-sim like feel would have lent extremely well to this. In fact, the secret levels built atmosphere perfect for it that I wish the main section of the game did too. Maybe we can all make memories beneath this false Moon, even if we are all just copies of someone else that came before us.
