From Glory To Goo is a Sci-Fi survival RTS set on an alien world. Serve as humanity's bulwark by establishing a colony and supporting your colonists still in orbit. But beware, for The Goo, a relentless and shape-shifting force approaches from all sides, even above and below.

Reviews
The game provides alot of variety through the different Factions, Maps, Captains, Enemy Types and game Modes. The developer actively listens to feedback and all of the updates are on the right track. The only negative of the game is the pixel art... but behind that is the best They are Billions-like game in the industry.
love it so much I made goo in my trousers, glad I listened to the comments wish it had some dlc or cost a bit more so I could show the dev some more love ♥ what an absolute gem of a game

For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Great base building game
From Glory to Goo obviously takes a lot from They Are Billions, but it does enough differently that calling it a clone is unfair. You build, expand, defend, and try not to get wiped out. The captains and orbital ships are probably the biggest thing that sets it apart, and they actually change how you play instead of just giving you tiny stat bonuses. There is a ton of variety here already for an Early Access game. Different captains, ships, factions, enemies, maps, campaign, Operations, and progression between runs. Most of it actually matters too. There are enough different ways to play that losing usually makes you want to try something different instead of just repeating the same strategy. It can be brutal though. Runs can get long, one mistake can ruin hours of work, and there is definitely more micromanagement than some people are going to like. The UI and building placement still need work, and once things get crowded it can be hard to tell what is happening on screen. The game itself is not hard to understand, but there is a lot to learn and experiment with. It has also gotten a lot better through updates and does not feel abandoned or half-finished. Sooooo, an easy EASY recommendation if you like survival RTS games or base/tower defense. There is already a lot here, Its still growing, and it is one of the better games I have played in this style. HaVe a great day Interneters !
this game is what it is advertised to be, has 5 difficulty settings that can be changed at each level. lots of tech upgrade type things that make it interesting. the graphics are severely lacking and its dialogue method is annoying popups, but you can get past that because the gameplay is good.
Oh I like this.
Similar to They Are Billions, but in a good way.
EDIT: The developer has responded to this review and is addressing the difficulty curve, and has been courteous and professional in their response. I'll rewrite this review when I get back into the game. This game was really fun for the first several hours, then ramped up difficulty to an extreme even on easy mode. Swarms are too frequent and massive to give you any kind of chance to build up defense and an army, so making progress on missions is excruciatingly slow. If you just barely manage to survive one wave, there's absolutely no chance you're going to survive the next one a few minutes later. It also does a terrible job of explaining or even showing mechanics, so I had no idea I needed to be doing things to set myself up for success in later missions. Trying to manage your ship, your captain, the base defenses, and making offensive attacks is insanely difficult, and even as someone pretty familiar with the RTS genre, it's just too much. I've tried replaying the same mission over and over, with a different strategy every time, and nothing works. I've given up. Feels like the rug was pulled out from from under me because I played too long to get a refund.
Short, a little buggy, and a lot of fun. Chapter 1 of the campaign is all there is today (v0.3 - August 2026) which is somewhat short. I took my time and finished it in ~8 hours. (and that's just a single play-through. there's some interesting choices so I'll be doing a 2nd one) It's a bit like they are billions, but **much** less frustrating.
