Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 63/day in the week to Jul 17 → 0/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 25 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 10 places towards #1, and the 2,413 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

I'm aware I haven't played it for long but everything surrounding this game is a mess. I bought a game called The Repopulation by these devs and they started having issues then switched to this. All of us that had bought the other game were given this for free which you'd think was a nice gesture and at the time that's what we took it for. When news went from updates to trickles it came to no ones surprise that the games were being dropped, though I think I recall something about Repop being sold. Either way, servers for this shut but we can still play offline in a game that is majorly unfinished and a huge let down.
Fragmented game is ok in single player mode

The devs of "The Repopulation" gave this game out for free to testers after the Repop was mothballed (it had been shaping up to be pretty good at the time too). "Fragmented" is still in my library, and in 2026 the offline mode still works. There are no servers for online play and I'm not sure if setting up a local server is still possible. The game itself is not bad as far as it goes. That's about it. I can't recommend buying unless you're getting it for a very low price and are aware that this game is not actively supported any more.
Ni se os ocurra comprar esto, lo abandonaron en 2022 (en realidad ya llevaba más tiempo abandonado). Para mi ha sido una total estafa. El juego está muy a medias, no merece la pena gastar ni tiempo ni dinero en él.
This game is a scam. I can't believe steam is still allowing this to be sold. This was actually another game, and in the dev's only clever moment, they gave all owners this one and de-listed the other. As if they could re-brand this hot, abandoned garbage. F*** this greed developer. Steam should not allow this game to be sold.
Alien game fun. many aliens die lots of big guns go boom boom. epic fights, many memories made. vultures can kiss my ass. don't listen to haters. they don't know the truth
Was rubbish, is still rubbish
Was terrible when it was active, is still rubbish, just abandoned. devs like this should be fined for wasting peoples time.
Fragmented, developed and published by Above and Beyond Technologies, is a science fiction survival game that places players on a hostile alien planet where every decision becomes a matter of life and death. Designed as a standalone offshoot of the ambitious but ill-fated MMO *The Repopulation*, it inherits many of that project’s systems and aspirations while narrowing its scope to focus on crafting, combat, and survival. The premise is straightforward but immediately gripping—you awaken as one of the last survivors of humanity, stranded on an unfamiliar world teeming with alien wildlife, environmental hazards, and the remnants of a fallen civilization. With nothing but rudimentary tools and your own ingenuity, you must gather resources, craft equipment, and slowly rebuild a semblance of stability in an unforgiving environment. At its best, Fragmented captures the sense of isolation and resilience that defines great survival games. The world feels vast and dangerous, filled with strange creatures that stalk the terrain, each biome introducing new challenges and materials. Players are encouraged to explore, craft, and expand through a well-structured skill and progression system. Experience points earned from activities like hunting, gathering, or construction feed into a network of specialized abilities—ranging from melee and ranged combat to construction, electronics, and biotechnology. This level-based approach gives a satisfying rhythm to progression and allows for a personalized playstyle. You can choose to become a skilled hunter, a tech-savvy engineer building drones and turrets, or a self-sufficient builder shaping intricate bases across the alien landscape. The RPG influence from the developers’ previous projects is clear, giving the game a sense of identity beyond standard survival mechanics. The construction and crafting systems form the backbone of Fragmented’s gameplay loop. You begin with primitive tools and must scavenge basic materials like wood, fiber, and minerals to build shelter and equipment. Over time, you unlock blueprints for advanced technology, from firearms and armor to automated systems and modular structures. The base-building system is flexible and allows for creative layouts, whether you’re constructing a modest camp or a fortified compound overlooking the horizon. These systems work well in theory and can be deeply satisfying for players who enjoy slow, methodical progression. The thrill of establishing a functioning base in a hostile world—complete with power generators, defenses, and workstations—provides a genuine sense of accomplishment. However, this same depth can also make the early stages feel punishingly slow, as resource gathering and crafting demand patience and repeated effort. Fragmented was developed in Unreal Engine, and visually it reflects both the potential and the limitations of a small studio working with big ambitions. The alien environments are often beautiful, with lush forests, desolate deserts, and glowing bioluminescent landscapes that evoke the otherworldly wonder of classic science fiction. Lighting effects and weather changes add to the immersion, and the day-night cycle reinforces the tension between safety and danger. Yet, despite its aesthetic strengths, the game struggles with technical consistency. Performance can fluctuate, animations sometimes feel stiff, and collision or AI pathfinding bugs occasionally break the illusion of immersion. These issues, while not game-breaking, make the experience feel uneven and unfinished, especially in comparison to more polished entries in the survival genre. The combat system is serviceable but lacks refinement. Players can engage enemies with both melee and ranged weapons, but the mechanics feel floaty, and the enemy AI often alternates between aggressive and erratic behavior. Fighting wildlife or hostile NPCs can be thrilling in short bursts but also frustrating when unpredictable bugs or balance issues disrupt encounters. The same unevenness extends to multiplayer. The game supports both cooperative and competitive play, but the player base has dwindled significantly since release, leaving many servers empty or unstable. When played with friends in a private session, however, the game’s cooperative potential shines—resource management, base defense, and exploration take on new life when shared among a group. Where Fragmented ultimately falters is in its execution and long-term cohesion. It contains the framework of a solid survival experience but feels like a proof of concept that never reached full maturity. Many systems—such as crafting tiers, skill trees, and environmental management—show promise but lack the balance and fine-tuning to keep players fully engaged over the long haul. The survival mechanics, like hunger and thirst, feel more obligatory than immersive, and the world, though visually expansive, can seem empty after extended play. The game’s rough edges, from technical bugs to pacing issues, make it difficult to recommend as a polished experience, though its ambition and depth earn respect. Despite its flaws, Fragmented has moments of genuine enjoyment for those who appreciate sandbox survival games and can look past its imperfections. Its combination of science fiction aesthetics, open-ended progression, and creative freedom allows for satisfying moments of discovery and creation. It is the kind of game that rewards patient players who are willing to dig beneath the surface and experiment with its systems. While it never achieves the seamless cohesion of genre standouts like *ARK: Survival Evolved* or *Subnautica*, it holds a certain charm as an ambitious indie project that dared to merge RPG depth with survival realism. Fragmented is imperfect, uneven, and at times frustrating, yet it remains a fascinating glimpse into a game that could have been truly exceptional had its vision been fully realized. Rating: 5/10
