Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
No United States chart position — it charts only in the markets below.
Latest in each market: best PL #92, worst CN #98 · 3 markets collected
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 1/day in the week to Aug 26 → 9.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 2: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.

Pro: - cool cars. - a lot of cars. - but not a lot of cool cars. Contra: - long loading times, even with SSD. - absolute ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ ai. no fun at all to play singleplayer. - you got enough money to buy a car? nice. but you can't upgrade your car, because you need car points.

Forza Motorsport 8 is something that can be best described as something resembling the racing game version of nutraloaf. It technically has all the ingredients and nutrients necessary to serve as a full meal all in itself, but remember that this product wasn't designed in mind for the consumer's benefit, but rather for the investors who demand for it to be put through the blender to the point of being so obnoxiously bland it offends no one but neither does it find anyone to satisfy. A little seasoning genuinely could have added enough life to this to make it stand out in any meaningful way, but think of the suits who eschew anything that would dare make it too exciting (and therefore subject to displeasing anyone who would have their stomach troubled by good food too rich) for its own good! The color correction almost seems designed to evoke the impression of a prison cell by just how utterly, discouragingly grey it is, and any color that does appear is likewise desaturated lest it inspire too much. But wait, there's more. For the sakes of not providing anything that is perhaps a wee bit too daring, the only tracks on offer are officially licensed and sanctioned grey(!) roads on desaturated(!!) green fields in Ohio or wherever that all sorta just blend together into some kind of (nutraloaf 'flavored') soup. Oh, so there are actually a handful of fictional tracks -- but they all have to abide by real life regulations (lest the CPU opponents get hurt) so they all have the same prison-like aesthetic of being fenced-in enclosures surrounded by occasional bits of greenery and cardboard stands for spectators. Bold colors are deemed distracting, and are therefore prohibited. But at least the racing is, again, technically capable of proving a sufficiently challenging FOMO-powered live service line-go-upper revenue enhancing device thingamigbob, if that so should be one's cup of (nutraloaf 'flavored') tea.

I do want to at least give a review now since I'm pretty much near the end of the Builder's Cup. I'll be continuing to go through the Champions Cup and all the other series that I can get my hands on though. Note that I have 32 hours in this game as my actual time, 21.5 Here, 10.5 on Xbox Series X. I should point out that I love both Forza series and I've completed all the modern Xbox One Forza Motorsport titles from 5-7. 7 being my personal favorite and 5 being the worst out of the bunch unsurprisingly knowing it's reception. Although I'm not a hardcore car expert or anything like that. I just play these games to relax and these games are really comfort food for me so don't expect me to know anything about how accurate the car engines are or anything like that. I finally started to play this sometime at the beginning of the year with my new RTX 5070 I bought so I knew it was probably going to run better than what I had (an RTX 2070 I've had for several years). There doesn't need to be a giant explanation about my feelings, but this is one of the weaker Motorsports I've played. It's definitely not grating or exhausting like FM5, but there is a lack of other driving activities to do other than the Tours in the game. That's why I liked previous entries including 7 because you got to do some cool 1v1 races or bowling into pins with your vehicle. I also find the fact that you can only use custom designs in a separate menu to put on your car rather than immediately put them on when you buy them is a real detriment considering the majority of the Motorsport games on the Xbox One had this feature. Instead you only can choose manufacturer or custom paint jobs which is nowhere near as colorful as the designs users got to make. There also seems to be a certain lack of polish. I noticed some big visual glitches in sparse moments after practice ends, like cars meshing into one another with no collision whatsoever. I also noticed that some of the drivatars can get dirty at points by ramming into you. They try to enforce more penalties in certain modes, but considering I use the rewind feature when I mess up it doesn't seem to matter too much. On the mode I played (which is basically like any other default Forza title) you can ram into cars and trade paint without ever touching a detraction from your lap time. The only time it seemed to matter is when I accidentally went off road for a second or two. I don't want to sound overly negative as my feelings of this game are definitely a 7/10. Below FM3 for me, but certainly WAY above FM5. The game looks fantastic. I feel with the Motorsport games the graphics have been trying to play catch up to the more prestigious Horizon series which are miles better in terms of detail, quality and fidelity than anything the Motorsport games have done. This is the first time where I finally felt like the series has caught up graphically with Horizon. Playing this with the settings on Ultra with DLAA enabled, the tracks look absolutely real. I took a picture of two cars head to head in the rain and the quality of the road was magnificent. I also love the dynamic day/night cycle the races have which gives the game more immersion. I found the control and handling to be more in tune with reality. There's a lot of grip, more so than in other FM games where the cars seemed to have that simcade kind of feel. The simcade feel can be felt here still, but it's leagues above what the other FM games have attempted in the past. I also want to praise an FM game for finally getting back to actual 3D crowds instead of the cardboard cutouts from the Xbox One games. I never understood why the Xbox 360 games could do this but the Xbox One versions couldn't, so to have actual moving crowds that cheer you on is a huge plus. Another plus I like is that the narrator gives facts about the tracks your going to race on before practice. While they will probably repeat a bunch of things as I go along, it's nice to have this to educate me a bit more about what tracks I'm going on. I also like the fact that some of the classic Forza tracks like Fujimi Kaido are back, as I really enjoyed racing them on FM3. The addition of 24 Cars on the track is also more in line with reality, so I think that's also a nice thing to have. And I have not gotten track fatigue yet. The tracks you play on are balanced out and most of the time have different circuits to play on. Is it worth getting? On sale yes. For me, I bought the Premium Edition considering I thoroughly enjoy these games and wanted to get the most out of my experience. While I think FM2023 does deliver more immersion thanks to some additions that make the game stronger, I do feel the Motorsport games have kind of run it's course. It's not surprising to me playing this that Turn 10 became a support studio for Playground to work on the much more acclaimed Horizon titles, as the Motorsport series has dwindled in popularity since the large gap between FM7 to this. Horizon has made such a huge dent in terms of accessibility and reach and while I argue that Forza Motosport can also easily be picked up by anyone to play even if they know nothing about automobile racing, it's clear audiences prefer Horizon more than Motorsport. I can't blame them! The Horizon games are phenomenal and Horizon 6 is one of the best games I've ever played. I do enjoy this game for it's richness in making things more immersive for the Motorsport series, but I feel Turn 10 didn't do a lot to keep FM2023 relevant. It's probably going to be the last Motorsport game for a while, but it's still worth picking up on sale if you're just someone like me. I find these games extremely comforting and I will continue to play FM2023 for the rest of the year.
