Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.71/day in the week to Aug 26 → 4/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

THE PARTNERSHIP AGREEMENT FOR THIS GAME HAS BEEN STOLEN BY MY DOMESTIC ABUSER AND VALVE IS REFUSING TO TRANSFER THE RIGHTS BACK TO ME, THE SOLE DEVELOPER. NO ONE MAKES PROFITS FROM SALES ANYMORE, VALVE KEEPS EVERYTHING. BUY AT OWN PERIL. THERE WILL BE NO MORE UPDATES.
Discover the quiet dystopia of Fortune's Run, where food is free yet people starve and every living soul on New Zabra is bought and paid for by off-world interests. A classic FPS with undertones of role-playing in the spirit of Deus Ex and EYE: Divine Cybermancy, featuring the campy tone of space operas and titles like Metal Gear Solid.
Master an innovative combat system inspired by fighting games and character action titles. Memorize combos and specials that break stance, use grabs and mix-ups to throw off your enemies' guard. The depth will keep you practicing for months.
Lose yourself in a post-industrial world of barren factories and boarded up store-fronts. Explore immersive environments, meet eclectic low-lives and witness Mozah's tragic tale in full voice-acted glory.
Learn to defend yourself with invincibility frames, parries, counters and true Quake-engine strafe-jumping movement. Damage is lethal, combat is tactical and practice is imperative. A return to the form of old classics on maximum difficulty. Blink and you're dead!
Travel to distant stars and lay eyes on set-pieces inspired by the science-fiction greats. A fully simulated centrifugal space station, a train that rides up a cable to the heavens. No two levels the same, always with something to impress.
Embrace the pain. The only way to survive is to learn, and the only way to learn is to fail. With a deeply customizable difficulty system and endless mechanics to master, Fortune's Run will leave you only two options: persistence or death!

The story behind this game is ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ wild lmao
I think this game is awesome conceptually, I dug the art style, It even played well. It's just never getting finished because of endless behind the scenes problems with the developers. Cannot in good conscience advise buying it. They have had MORE THAN ONE major ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ crazy event happening preventing this game from getting further updates. Sadly, just avoid it.

Dev went on site research in a real prison for a while, don't buy it just yet, wishlist it for 3-5-years in advance.
should be eligible for a refund regardless of playtime due to the behind the scenes event, especially insulting that it was changed to a dollar price for the people that paid full price to support development
The game was stolen by the sole developers ex-partner to pay for their drug abuse, and as such Fortune's Run will likely never be finished. S'a damn shame, too; Fortune's Run is a fantastic FPS with a high skill-ceiling, lightning quick blink-and-you'll-die gameplay, as well as a technical marvel really pushing the bounds of the GZDoom engine. I hope that Dizzie can get the project back, but my gut tells me that won't be happening.
And they took every cool thing they ever knew. And they threw it in a blender. And they saw that it was good. And it was. Speed and movement of modern acrobatic shooters. Level design of Thief. Game philosophy of Deus Ex. Healing of Call of Cthulhu. Environmental interaction of Prey. Melee system of... I don't think I've seen anything like this in a first-person game before. Aesthetics of Star Wars. Plot of We Shall Overcome. Confidence of John Romero. Shitstormy consequences of confidence of John Romero. Protagonist background of The Chronicles of Riddick. Developer background of The Chronicles of Riddick. Development drama temperatures of Bizet's Carmen. If you think of this as a 'game that will never be finished', then remember you were never going to play it to completion anyway. About 95% of players don't finish games, if we're willing to be Mother-Theresa-level charitable. What, you're a five-percenter? Okay. Whatever you say. Instead think of it as a game with 3 gargantuan toybox-levels you can experiment with every which way. Of course, there's the issue of an admittedly steep price of a breath of air. The seven hours I clocked in were the tutorial, plus the thoroughly explored first level on maximum difficulty. And I didn't even beat it. The final boss gently violated every molecule of my being. Yes, I too am the 95%. And so are you.
Valve needs to start giving out mental health tests as a prerequisite to indie devs before they're allowed to publish a game on steam
Wasted Potential. Had high hopes for this ImSim but the dev is clearly not all there. Don’t think we’ll be seeing much from this game, it’s fun, and the music is good, but it’s unfinished. Avoid.
What had great potential now got canceled due to weird personal drama. Ok. Be careful what you buy in Early Access, guys and gals.
Great game but at my time of review, it will never be finished and your money isn't going to the actual developer.
