[h1]FORTUNE MILL: Kleine Einsätze, große Gewinne und endloser Grind [/h1] Fortune Mill gehört zu den Incremental Spielen, die gerade ihren großen Boom erleben. Vorweg muss ich allerdings sagen, dass dies eines meiner ersten richtigen Incremental Spiele ist. Erfahrung mit Idle Games bringe ich dagegen bereits einiges mit und genau deshalb war für mich besonders interessant, wie sich Fortune Mill im Vergleich zu klassischen Idle Spielen schlägt. Auf den ersten Blick gibt es viele Gemeinsamkeiten. Man startet mit sehr wenig Geld, kauft Upgrades, erhöht dadurch seine Einnahmen und schaltet nach und nach immer stärkere Automatisierungen frei. Genau dieses typische Gefühl, aus wenigen Ressourcen langsam eine immer effizienter laufende Geldmaschine aufzubauen, ist auch hier sehr gut ungesetzt. Größter Unterschied ist hier der Aktive Part des Spiels worauf Ich nun eingehen werde. [h1]Das Gameplay / Die Spielmechaniken[/h1] Das Grundprinzip von Fortune Mill ist schnell erklärt. Man startet mit praktisch nichts und verdient durch die verschiedenen Minispiele zunächst kleine Geldbeträge. Mit dem verdienten Geld werden Upgrades gekauft, die wiederum die Einnahmen erhöhen und nach und nach neue Mechaniken freischalten. Der große Reiz liegt dabei für mich in der Verbindung der einzelnen Räume. Die verschiedenen Systeme existieren nicht einfach unabhängig voneinander, sondern beeinflussen sich gegenseitig. Verbesserungen aus einem Raum können beispielsweise die Einnahmen oder Geschwindigkeit eines anderen Bereichs erhöhen. Dadurch entsteht mit der Zeit ein richtig schönes Schneeballsystem und es macht unglaublich Spaß alle Räume weiterzubringen. Besonders am Anfang fühlt sich diese Entwicklung sehr befriedigend an. Aus wenigen Goldstücken werden plötzlich Hunderte, später Tausende und irgendwann die schöne Millionen und höher. Genau dieses Gefühl, innerhalb kurzer Zeit von „ich verdiene gar nichts“ zu „Ich bin Reich“ zu kommen, ist eine der größten Stärken des Spiels. Leider Skaliert im späteren Verlauf das Spiel ziemlich in die Höhe, was alles etwas langsamer macht. Auch die Automatisierung spielt dabei eine wichtige Rolle. Sehr viele Spiele, die zu Beginn noch manuell erledigt werden müssen, lassen sich später automatisieren. Dadurch wird Fortune Mill immer mehr zu einem Spiel, bei dem man seine Systeme optimiert und anschließend beobachtet, wie die Einnahmen von alleine wachsen. Es gibt relativ viel Freizuschalten wie duzende Upgrades, spezielle Verbesserungen die sich auf mehrere Räume gleichzeitig auswirken, sowie verschiedene New Game Plus Stufen mit zusätzlichen Upgrades. Dadurch bleibt auch nach dem ersten Durchlauf noch einiges zu tun. Allerdings hat das System auch seine klassischen Schwächen. Viele Upgrades sind letztendlich einfache prozentuale Verbesserungen und verändern das eigentliche Gameplay nur wenig. Gerade im späteren Spielverlauf wird dadurch aus dem Optimieren teilweise eher ein kaufen, was man sich gerade leisten kann. [h1]Die Technik[/h1] Optisch setzt Fortune Mill auf einen schönen Pixel Art Stil. Die verschiedenen Räume sind schön gestaltet und die zahlreichen kleinen Figuren und Animationen verleihen dem Spiel einen eigenen Charakter. Gerade die vielen skurrilen Kreaturen passen hervorragend zum teilweise absurden Humor des Spiels. Technisch läuft der Titel einwandfrei. [h1]Der Sound[/h1] Soundtechnisch bleibt Fortune Mill eher zweckmäßig. Die verschiedenen Aktionen werden von passenden Soundeffekten begleitet und besonders Gewinne, Jackpots und andere Erfolgsmomente bekommen ein angenehmes Feedback. Der Sound unterstützt damit das Gameplay, ohne sich besonders in den Vordergrund zu drängen. Der Weg von den ersten paar Goldstücken bis zur ersten Million ist dabei ausgesprochen motivierend. Ganz ohne Schwächen ist Fortune Mill allerdings nicht. Gerade im späteren Spielverlauf wird die eigentliche Entscheidungsfreiheit etwas dünner und die Skalierung kann dafür sorgen, dass sich weitere Durchläufe eher nach zusätzlichem Grind anfühlen Trotzdem macht Fortune Mill für einen relativ kleinen Indie Titel erstaunlich viel richtig. Wer dieses Genre oder allgemein Idle Games mag und gerne dabei zusieht, wie aus wenig Gold innerhalb kürzester Zeit ein kompletter Schatzhaufen wird, bekommt hier einen sehr unterhaltsames Spiel. The first level is fun, interactive, and takes a little bit of skill. The next three were essentially just "wait until you have enough money to buy the next upgrade" games, which is fine for idle game enjoyers but they aren't exactly unique and varied game mechanics, despite the surface level visuals making them look like distinct games per floor. Auto-scratch, auto ball drop, wait 30 seconds to get a change to drag a sushi onto another sushi - these didnt even get close to the interactivity and dopamine of the dart minigame

Absolute banger of a game. It's one of those incremental games that completely hijacks your brain with constant progression and satisfying upgrades. Every new room introduces fresh mechanics and watching all of them interact through powerful synergies makes every run feel rewarding. It is simple to learn, hard to put down, and constantly gives you another goal to chase. [b]Jugabilidad y rejugabilidad[/b] La mecánica principal consiste en farmear fortuna e ir superando salas, cada una con su propio minijuego. Esto aporta algo de variedad, aunque al final el objetivo siempre termina siendo conseguir más y más recursos para continuar progresando. Conforme avanzas puedes automatizar parte del farmeo y, en mi caso, ahí es donde están buena parte de las horas que marca Steam. Lo dejaba funcionando mientras hacía otras cosas o incluso cuando no estaba en casa, así que de esas 18 horas registradas, jugando realmente delante del PC habrán sido unas 6 o 7. No es que sea especialmente emocionante, pero tiene ese efecto típico de los incrementales de volver de vez en cuando, recoger lo que ha farmeado y continuar avanzando.
