About

Utilise weapons, armour, abilities, alchemy ingredients, traps and anything else you can lay your hands on within an entirely classless character progression system.
Whether you want to be a nimble-footed archer flinging fireballs between arrows or face your foes, toe to toe as an axe-wielding whirlwind of death; the choice is yours.

The Vale of Vahrin is beset by threats from both within and without, the perfect place for a mercenary in search of their next contract.
Rival mercenaries, bandits, monstrous beasts and even hideous creatures infest the Vale of Vahrin, ready and waiting for their bounties to be claimed.
Master intense real-time action combat and adapt to every challenge, ensuring that no enemy, no matter how powerful, can stand in your way.

Aid the survivors in their personal tales of grief, love and even humour, as they fight back against the overwhelming odds facing Vahrin.
Traverse a world steeped in beauty and mystery, from overgrown city streets to magical caverns and murky bogs, each hand-crafted to test your resolve.
Scour every corner; leaving no stone unturned in your quest to discover hidden treasures, unravel lost mysteries, and claim the spoils of Vahrin for your own.

The city of Vahrin found itself overwhelmed by a swarm of the grotesque, insect-like creatures known as khraiax.
In response, many of the Free Cities, united under the banner of the Combined Order, sent their armies to confront this terrible threat.
But victory was not to be theirs, for while the khraiax stood little chance against the might of the combined forces, a far greater danger rose from beneath the city’s streets.
Vahrin’s king lies dead, along with thousands of soldiers who marched to the city’s aid. Now only its most stalwart defenders remain, desperately fighting to reclaim their beloved home.

Vahrin’s Call stands as its own complete tale, yet it forms just one part of a sweeping epic narrative that spans nations and continents.
What begins as smaller, isolated struggles becomes part of a greater saga, where every character’s trial, every kingdom’s war, and every act of courage or betrayal weaves the tapestry of the unfolding story throughout the world.

I've been following this games development for a long time now, And im so happy it's finally out, I've only played 5.5 hours but Honestly this is the kind of game we should have had 15 years ago. I get nostoglia vibes of fable 1 and demon souls. 11/10 guys! can't wait to complete this game and get more content!!!
Sometimes you just need a popcorn fantasy RPG as a change of pace.
I'll never tire of quests involving clearing out (k)rats in a basement, or the joyous exploration of finding treasure behind waterfalls. (If it were up to me, all fantasy genre games would be required to incorporate these specific components regardless of the seriousness of the story.) For context. This is the textbook definition of an "indie" game, as such the nature of my judgement and expectations are tempered accordingly. There are no comparisons to the likes of AAA or AA games found herein. There's no genre redefining material in Vahrin, just a good, traditional-ish fantasy adventure that felt like a nostalgic classic D&D campaign. We happen to play a random Mercenary who stumbles haphazardly into the "main" story, where the actual main characters are doing their best... but need our help, of course. High Notes: - Art style felt very refreshing in a world of increasingly "photorealistic" games. - Environmental storytelling punches well above its weight, truly excellent to catch all the wonderful details carefully crafted throughout the world that help to convey the story and set the tone. - Environmental design/level design was thoughtful and unique for each area, even amongst regions with repeating flora/fauna the details and how the areas were structured continued to feel fresh and engaging throughout (maybe not everyone would feel this way, but I genuinely liked it). - The music was lovely and consistently fit each region, map, and dungeon. - The voice acting also punches above its weight, this helps significantly to balance the lack of character model facial/physical expression and lack of cinematics. - THANK YOU FOR NOT MAKING YOUR GAME ACHIEVEMENTS OVERLY COMPLICATED. And for making it straightforward enough to get everything done in one go. (I get there's supposed to be some challenge to "platinum"... but it seems like many games have achievements that intentionally require multiple playthroughs to obtain, and I just don't have the time or motivation most of the time.) - Genomy. *chef's kiss* Low Notes: - Combat connectivity and the general feel of traversal and interaction in the environment felt very weightless/floaty. (I realize this might be a skill that developers improve and hone over time through experience and feedback from the larger audience, so maybe we'll see patches in the future that adjust and improve this area.) - UI layout, especially inventory, was not my favorite thing. At a minimum it would be slightly improved if scrolling down the list of items to the bottom would cycle back to the top of the list rather than having to manually cycle back up or exit and reopen the menu area to get back to the top of a listing. - The font on the in-game notes you pick up... I think it's just a bit too thin? (It was killing my eyeballs. And of course I didn't realize until the end of game that if I opened them again in my journal there was a text version to read next to the image of the note...) Thank you to the Titan Roc Devs! This was the perfect game for me to play between some other much larger game commitments. I hope your long journey to this moment has proven fruitful and this little game continues to do well. The love, passion, humor, and attention to detail is obvious throughout and was a large part of why I enjoyed it all as much as I did. I very much look forward to what comes next in the Forsaken Realms!
le systeme de sauvegarde est insupportable et oblige a recommencer les memes sequences plusieurs fois ce qui est penible. comment peut on encore aujourdhui ne pas avoir compris cela... et le quick save ne fonctionne pas
good game
I’ve really enjoyed my time with this. It’s the kind of game that doesn’t necessarily need to reinvent the wheel to be a genuinely enjoyable experience. There’s something very satisfying about exploring the world, progressing through the story, and gradually getting more invested in what’s happening around you. It’s most akin to Fable and you can feel that. What I appreciate most is that the game feels like it was made with a real love for the genre. It has that classic adventure/RPG feeling where exploration and progression are rewarding in their own right. There are definitely some rough edges here and there, but they never took away from the overall experience for me. Most importantly, I found myself looking forward to playing it, which is ultimately what matters most to me. It’s been a fun, engaging experience, and I think there’s a lot here for anyone who enjoys RPGs and adventure. It’s a really enjoyable game with a lot of heart, and I’m glad I played it and I am thrilled to keep playing it.
