Scour every corner; leaving no stone unturned in your quest to discover hidden treasures, unravel lost mysteries, and claim the spoils of Vahrin for your own.

The city of Vahrin found itself overwhelmed by a swarm of the grotesque, insect-like creatures known as khraiax.
In response, many of the Free Cities, united under the banner of the Combined Order, sent their armies to confront this terrible threat.
But victory was not to be theirs, for while the khraiax stood little chance against the might of the combined forces, a far greater danger rose from beneath the city’s streets.
Vahrin’s king lies dead, along with thousands of soldiers who marched to the city’s aid. Now only its most stalwart defenders remain, desperately fighting to reclaim their beloved home.

Vahrin’s Call stands as its own complete tale, yet it forms just one part of a sweeping epic narrative that spans nations and continents.
What begins as smaller, isolated struggles becomes part of a greater saga, where every character’s trial, every kingdom’s war, and every act of courage or betrayal weaves the tapestry of the unfolding story throughout the world.

I will start by saying I LOVE the Fable games so when I heard this team got a lot of their inspiration from a series I loved so much I had pretty high hopes I would enjoy this game. There are a lot of things I enjoy about the game with some slight gripes but nothing that is taking away from my overall enjoyment thus far. I think the game looks great and the exploration is very fun! I have a great time just looking around the areas I find and doing random side quests or finding collectibles. The game does seem to be slightly lacking as far as the main story goes, I have finished two chapters and the story elements feel kind of shallow so far. Despite the games short comings I am still really enjoying it and I can see the Fable inspirations for sure! I just wish they leaned into that more because I have yet to find an Indie RPG that does a lot of the stuff Fable has done! Overall I think its a solid game and if they keep building off this formula and did slightly better in other areas they could make some pretty solid RPGs in the future! This game has a great old school RPG vibe (Like Fable) without being dated. The mechanics and gameplay are engaging and the world is varied a colourful.

Cool game
I'm honestly mixed on the game, but I guess in the end I enjoyed my playthrough. I love Gothic inspired open world loot goblin games, and therein lies my main problem. While there's certainly a lot to be looted in Vahrin's Call, you quickly realize that it is mostly junk to be dismantled/sold to fuel your equipment, which comes solely from treasure chests. It wouldn't be that bad, but all this junk respawns each time you reenter a map. And while equipment is plenty, as soon as you loot a new higher tier base, all your previous equipment becomes obsolete. I would've hoped for a little more diversity and customization in these aspects. Namely armour set bonuses are completely amiss. I think the only effect that I found on weapons is a small increase in ice dmg when wielding the ice sword. There's truly missed opportunities here to make for a smarter and more rewarding game. Other than that, there's not much to complain about. The world is beautifully hand crafted. Combat feels a little clunky but nothing to worry about. In the end, I am left wanting for more content.
great game. I love fantasy rpg games like this but this is the first good indie fantasy rpg that i actually like. The inventory ui is kinda bare bones but after playing this for a while its kinda growing on me
Ein kleines aber sehr schönes RPG! +Atmosphäre +Musik +Welt/Level Design überraschend gut! +Progression +Loot u. Daumen hoch! :D
It just wasn't for me for various reasons. I'm sure other people will enjoy this game.
If you see Forsaken Realms and say "alright! I used to play those games, they were the best" and expect this one to be? Not for you. It plays nothing like Forgotten Realms and more like Skyrim. I find the game almost relaxing, but there is a few drawbacks. Like Skyrim, there is a lot of running around. There is fast travel. You want to go off the beaten path to find the loot, skill books and charms. Need to talk to everyone to find the quests, just like Skyrim. I cheat and play in storybook mode because I want the story more then the I need to impress. Achievements are the same. You do not pick up others to form a team, so you are alone. There is no race, elves, dwarfs to pick from for character creation and there is no class. You start out with a bow, sword and shield and 5 potions. Another reason why I pick this is easy play, because I have been killed a lot, and health potions are not easy to come by. I have not seen any, and if I had this on a higher mode, I would have quit by now. I have trouble with the quick bar, might be a bug with it. If you like Skyrim, you might enjoy this game. If you like full blown RPG, like BG3 this game might not be for you.
All in all is Vahrin's Call an average aRPG experience. Standing out is the interesting Alchemy System at play and how easy it is to switch around your skillset based on what weapon type you want to use (considering you have trained it) It is not perfect and has some indie jank to it but solid ~20-30h of entertainment. Can only recommend it. - Gameplay: https://youtu.be/LvG7JBBfYZo - 100% Review: (in the works)
