Forebloomed: Evergreen Edition is one of those games that's a rarity. Something that's easy to pick up, very difficult to put down, fun, engaging, and worth absolutely every penny. It's clear that this game has been designed by people who truly care about it; and the time invested is obvious. Every single thing from the beautiful pixel graphics to the simple but engaging gameplay to the masterfully calm yet complex soundtrack contributes to what, at its heart, is a regular point and click adventure. However, the movement is fast enough to leave you feeling like you can dodge bullets while not being too fast as to be unplayable, the enemies don't have too much HP for it to turn into a slugfest, and nothing is particularly complex; rather, Forebloomed is deeply, deeply satisfying. Everything about Forebloomed is incredible, and it's a testament to its quality that the time I spent away from it I spent wishing I was playing again. Highly recommended.
Wasn't expecting way too much out of this game, given its price, but the aesthetics of it gripped me and I bought it since it was cheap and I had some extra money anyway. Honestly, it's significantly better than its price point suggests. There are some bugs currently, but Cloudy is quick to get onto fixing them, and has also expressed interest in adding more content and features in the future. It's refreshing in its simplicity and makes for a surprisingly cozy time for a twin-stick shooter roguelike. Despite its cozy nature (also helped in large part by the excellent soundtrack), it can still manage to provide quite the challenge with the various challenge runs the game provides, certain characters being harder to play (not because they suck, but because of their own interesting mechanics), and a genuinely challenging hard mode.

Fun and addicting, amazing and fitting soundtracks, unique gameplay, and many things to do is what puts it in my top 3 of favourite videogames.
If you've ever played Voidego or atomicrops this game will feel fairly familiar at least in terms of tone, the gameplay itself seems fairly unique in that you actually have to uncover and find the enemies yourself! The variety of enemies is decent enough, given that each level does share a few enemies like worms and beetles but still does give unique ones like cuttlefish and centipedes that each have their own mechanics you have to quickly learn about. Regaining health like any rouge-like is a pain but not impossible, there is no variety of weapons at least for the sake of individual characters, each character does have their own weapon but they can only use that one. The variety of power ups is good with plenty to look forward to the more you play, sometimes the text describing what they do can be somewhat hard to read seemingly squished together and not evenly spaced but easy enough to understand. TL;DR - If you like pixel graphic rouge-likes that are easy to pick up and hard to put down, you'll like this, cutesey and pleasing soundtrack, 8/10 in its current state, hope to see them add more in the future.
Forebloomed is a really fun and cool game! It has 4 bosses and 2 boss remakes and 4 different worlds! It has lots of power ups and they are super fun to collect! Even after you beat the game and unlock everything you can try to complete all of the achievements as well! The only downside to me is that a couple of more worlds would really complete this game! All in all I would recommend this to any roguelike fan!
Gameplay is ok but I would wait for dev to start updating again before buying.
plant femboy commits war crimes, very cool, 10/10, i ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ love thicket
this game is very under rated
Fun game, been following its progress for a few months now, glad it's on Steam now! The gameplay is neat, not too stale despite its repetition due to it being a roguelike. The pixel art is nice, nothing too groundbreaking there but I still enjoy it. And the soundtrack is really damn good. Not too big of a fan of the cosmetic aspect but that's just a matter of personal taste. Sooo, yeah, I like it, great job from Cloudy and Moosey!
I Like forebloomed a lot :)
