About
If you’ve played traditional football managers, you’re probably familiar with the following feelings:
Complex attributes: Footballers have many attributes, and you don’t always understand which ones truly affect the match outcome. Often, the only strategy becomes buying high-level players instead of finding a footballer whose unique attribute perfectly suits your tactics.
Unclear results: You never really know why you win or lose. This forces players to search for "winning" formations on forums instead of analysing the opponent and consciously selecting footballers capable of exploiting their weaknesses.
Financial complexity: Club funds quickly disappear, and it’s hard to understand how to manage finances and strategically plan expenditures.
Football, Tactics & Glory is a game about full control and a complete understanding of what’s happening on the pitch and in the club:
Transparency of attributes: You always know exactly how each footballer’s attribute impacts the encounters, allowing you to customise formations for each opponent, defeating even stronger teams with the right player selection and tactical approach. This also makes transfers much more interesting and exciting.
Control over tactics: Feel like a real coach, making smart tactical decisions, not just changing formations hoping for luck.
Control over luck: Luck plays a big role, as in real football. But you can minimise its impact by understanding your players’ abilities and building the team around your playstyle.
Strategic financial planning: The game’s economy is designed so that you always feel in control of your finances. The game demonstrates the importance of strategies like "developing" footballers for sale and finding promising talents who will become your future stars.
No micromanagement: This is a game about strategic planning, not micromanagement. Instead of wasting time on increasing an attribute by 0.01%, you make decisions that significantly affect the club’s fate. Therefore, the game lacks the boring elements of football managers: endless spreadsheets, routine tasks, and unimportant mechanics.
Great variety: FTG is so deep that even after hundreds of hours, you’ll continue discovering new and interesting things. The game world develops uniquely each time, creating new challenges and exciting emergent stories. This makes each campaign different from the last one.
The game values your time: You can complete one football season in a few real hours instead of days, as in other football managers. At the same time, each season is packed with events and interesting decisions.
Comprehensive tutorial: The game explains all elements in detail. And if you still have questions, the active community will answer them on the forum or Discord.
Good turn-based mechanics allow complex systems to be simplified, while retaining their essence and emotions. For example, XCOM perfectly conveys the feel of firefights with aliens, and Civilization — the development of a civilisation.
Our turn-based system uses key football concepts to make match outcomes and your tactical decisions clear and transparent. Once you understand how these mechanics work, you’ll feel the emotions inherent in real football.
Additionally, the ability to take your time with each move allows for comfortable gameplay. Especially if you’re over 40 and don’t have the reaction speed you once had.
Yes, it’s a serious football manager that’s easy to start playing due to its apparent simplicity, but hard to stop because of the depth of its features.

FTG is both an amazing soccer game and fantastic turn based strategy game. There are too many good things to talk about in one review to prevent it from being overly lengthy, but a few highlights are as follows. - Very deep football immersion. There are many positions players can play that have real world game feel, and the skills players can develop offer a lot of strategical depth. - Team management is very deep. You can develop your manager and team in a lot of different ways that have strengths and weaknesses. - League variety of diverse and broad. You can play in all of the major leagues which contain tournaments specific to their continent. - DLC: there are 3 now which expand the game in meaningful ways and are definitely worth the price. The only reason you might not buy it is if you aren't a fan of football. If you like turn based games but not football, you may not like the theme. If you want more of a real time soccer game, this also may not be for you; however, it "feels" very much like soccer so at least give it a try. As soon as I played the demo, I was hooked.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 26 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 7 places towards #1, and the 2,400 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Absolutely wonderful tactical football management / turn-based game simulator. For those who want to control literally everything, including each and every pass / shot / off-the-ball run. The "X-Com of football" tag gets thrown around a lot for this game, but it is completely apt, to the point where I think even non-football fans would get something out of it if they enjoy turn-based strategy games. If you want a full-on football sim, but don't have the reactions for, or don't enjoy the pace of Fifa type games, this is perfect. One of the most original (and fun) sports games I've ever played.
Football, Tactics & Glory scratched an itch I didn't know I had — I'm not even a huge football fan, but the turn-based tactical layer hooked me immediately, giving that satisfying XCOM-style feeling of planning out moves and watching them pay off. The management loop between matches is just deep enough to stay engaging without drowning you in spreadsheets like Football Manager does, and watching your homegrown players develop their specializations and skills over multiple seasons is genuinely rewarding. Fair warning though: the early game can be brutal and the RNG will occasionally cost you a match you felt you deserved to win, so going in with patience and taking the time to learn the special abilities through the built-in tests makes a huge difference. It's not a perfect game — the grind can feel repetitive in the mid-seasons and the AI doesn't always adapt well to your strategies — but for the price, especially on sale, it delivers an absurd amount of content and that dangerous 'just one more match' quality that has kept me up way too late. Recommended, especially if you enjoy tactical games and want something genuinely unique.
This is by far my favourite football management game. It's a cross between Chess and Football manager with a bit of Xcom thrown in! If you like any of those I thoroughly recommend you give it a go. Just wish it was available on Android as this would make a perfect mobile game!
This is first impressions review which I will change if my opinion changes after playing it more: I bought this game 90% off, roughly for the price of a slice of pizza. After playing it for a few matches, I wish I had a slice of pizza. The game basically works but there is nothing in it (so far) that would make me look forward to playing more of it. It's mostly RNG/stat battles that neither look nor feel like football. The game has two DLCs that, for all I know, might make the gameplay very enjoyable. They contain "extra features" such as being able to switch clubs during your career, being able to make transfer offer for a player who is not transfer listed and being able to see your stats from the previous season. However, since either one (while on sale!) costs almost four times the price that I paid for the meh base game, I doubt that will ever find out if that's so or not. Finally, when I started the game it asked me if I would mind sharing a little bit of my personal info because that will allow them to get more money from advertisment banners on the side of the pitch. Reminder: this is not a Free2Play game. This is after you purchase it for money. Edit: Later, when I entered Settings I found that Advertising is checked On by default. I very much unchecked it. Conclusion: This one of those "Why doesn't Steam allow Neutral reviews" review. The game is meh. If you're OK with the practices described above (gameplay gate locked behind DLC and in game advertising), I suggest that you watch a gameplay video (or a really big discount) before making the purchase.
The hours. Just look at the hours played.
Oh Football Tactics and Glory, how I love thee. When I was younger I would spend days and days on football management games - then I became a grown up and suddenly I didn't have those hours to spare. When I discovered FT&G I thought my prayers were answered - something with that similar sense of achievement but much less of a time-hog, something bitesize and suitable for short sessions around adult responsibilities. That was 1000 hours ago. I cannot think of a game that pound-for-pound has given me more value. The closest comparison I can think of is that moment in X:Com, you've one turn left, you need to kill the last alien, there's no obvious solution, then you think of some elaborate strategy, blow a hole in the wall for your sniper, and roll the dice on a kill-shot. Only instead of doming an alien to save the world, you're pulling off a diving header against Ipswich to secure the title in the last seconds of the season. On top of that the developers are highly engaged, responding to questions and feedback with remarkable frequency given their geographic situation, and the new DLC looks like a massive QoL update.
