About
If you’ve played traditional football managers, you’re probably familiar with the following feelings:
Complex attributes: Footballers have many attributes, and you don’t always understand which ones truly affect the match outcome. Often, the only strategy becomes buying high-level players instead of finding a footballer whose unique attribute perfectly suits your tactics.
Unclear results: You never really know why you win or lose. This forces players to search for "winning" formations on forums instead of analysing the opponent and consciously selecting footballers capable of exploiting their weaknesses.
Financial complexity: Club funds quickly disappear, and it’s hard to understand how to manage finances and strategically plan expenditures.
Football, Tactics & Glory is a game about full control and a complete understanding of what’s happening on the pitch and in the club:
Transparency of attributes: You always know exactly how each footballer’s attribute impacts the encounters, allowing you to customise formations for each opponent, defeating even stronger teams with the right player selection and tactical approach. This also makes transfers much more interesting and exciting.
Control over tactics: Feel like a real coach, making smart tactical decisions, not just changing formations hoping for luck.
Control over luck: Luck plays a big role, as in real football. But you can minimise its impact by understanding your players’ abilities and building the team around your playstyle.
Strategic financial planning: The game’s economy is designed so that you always feel in control of your finances. The game demonstrates the importance of strategies like "developing" footballers for sale and finding promising talents who will become your future stars.
No micromanagement: This is a game about strategic planning, not micromanagement. Instead of wasting time on increasing an attribute by 0.01%, you make decisions that significantly affect the club’s fate. Therefore, the game lacks the boring elements of football managers: endless spreadsheets, routine tasks, and unimportant mechanics.
Great variety: FTG is so deep that even after hundreds of hours, you’ll continue discovering new and interesting things. The game world develops uniquely each time, creating new challenges and exciting emergent stories. This makes each campaign different from the last one.
The game values your time: You can complete one football season in a few real hours instead of days, as in other football managers. At the same time, each season is packed with events and interesting decisions.
Comprehensive tutorial: The game explains all elements in detail. And if you still have questions, the active community will answer them on the forum or Discord.
Good turn-based mechanics allow complex systems to be simplified, while retaining their essence and emotions. For example, XCOM perfectly conveys the feel of firefights with aliens, and Civilization — the development of a civilisation.
Our turn-based system uses key football concepts to make match outcomes and your tactical decisions clear and transparent. Once you understand how these mechanics work, you’ll feel the emotions inherent in real football.
Additionally, the ability to take your time with each move allows for comfortable gameplay. Especially if you’re over 40 and don’t have the reaction speed you once had.
Yes, it’s a serious football manager that’s easy to start playing due to its apparent simplicity, but hard to stop because of the depth of its features.
Take your club to the top: Start in the lower league and lead your club to the heights of world football. Or choose any club in the Premier League or another league of your choice.
Create your own leagues and clubs: With the built-in editor, you can create real clubs and leagues.
Use modifications: Take advantage of numerous mods created by the player community.
Dynamic game world: Other clubs buy and sell players, train them, and develop youth — the game world lives and evolves with you.
Promotion and relegation system: Each country has a Premier League and several lower leagues. Teams are promoted or relegated between leagues depending on their final position. Top teams from different countries participate in continental tournaments similar to the Champions League and Europa League.
Club development: Improve infrastructure, hire coaches, and develop your Youth Academy.
Unique players: A powerful face generation system makes each footballer unique. The face editor is also available for you.
Online matches: Play a friendly match with a friend online.
Co-op play: Create a tournament and play a season with friends on one computer (or online via Remote Play Together). Up to 32 people can participate in the tournament.
Twitch integration: Viewers can interact with the game via chat.

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Football Manager & Chess had a Baby! When I first played this game I expected a basic and rough around the edges Game, probably because I got the Game and the first 2 DLCs on a super cheap sale. And there is a simplicity to this Game, but in a really nice way. It's easy to learn but it gets gradually deeper. And it's the feel to the pacing and progression that really slaps! The game's progression feels just right, I am bringing in Youth Players and watching them develop from Level 1 to a Player who I am receiving Offers that I literally can't refuse (Because the Youth Academy won't Upgrade itself!). The Play feels more like Chess than Football but the Management feels like a Simplified Football Management Game. You'll genuinely have to master Formations, Strategy and roll the Dice, quite literally every dual is a Dice roll but the size of the Dice rolled by each side is determined by Player Atrributes, Situation and Skills. Be warned, this Dice mechanic will have you raging when your defender rolls a 80 Die and losses to the Striker's 5 Die and now he's 1 on 1 with the Keeper and it feels like the RNG hates you! But this mechanic creates a blend of Strategy and Uncertainty. What's really cool is that, just like in real football, Players get pulled out of position either by Necessity or Chaos and suddenly a stalwart Defense is scattered all over the place. I actually find myself trying attacks that will almost certainly fail because I know the defender will have to move out of position to stop the attack, thus creating a hole in the defensive line for the next attack. And every action rewards experience for the Players, so nothing feels like a total waste of time. It feels remarkably realistic in this sense. And I'm just starting to realise the Player potential. There are 4 Player Attributes for every Player. Accuracy (for Shooting), Passing (for... you know!), Defense (for Tackling) and Control (for holding the Ball and Position. And every player has a strong and weaker Attributes. And by putting a player in a certain position, he will devellop to be a Player of that Position. So this means I could take a Defender with strong Defense & Control attributes and put him in the Attacking position. The idea being that he can steal and hold the Ball up while another Striker or Attacking midfielders get into position. This opens up a huge potential of varying Styles, I love this freedom! All in all a very addictive, just one more game sort of thing! A really pleasant surprise of a game.
Chessball? Foochess?
One of the biggest hidden gems I've played in years. 50 hours played in just two weeks. What I loved: • Simple to learn, surprisingly deep to master. • Excellent tactical variety through classes, skills and player combinations. • RPG elements make player development genuinely rewarding. • Every match feels meaningful. • Clearly made with passion and attention to detail. • Great balance between accessibility and strategic depth. What could be improved: • National team management feels unnecessarily restrictive. • Players become unavailable if their clubs would fall below the minimum squad size. • While managing Portugal, this severely limited my options for the European Championship. • In real football, clubs don't play while international tournaments are taking place, so there should be no issue calling up multiple players from the same club. Highly recommended for football fans looking for something different from the usual management sims.
Its like Xcom but with football, a really unique take on the football genre, a lot of depth. Steam workshop means you can easily add real badges and team names A unique game, and a really good one
Funky premise, but fun for the right type of gamer. If you generally enjoy spreadsheet sports games like Out of the Park or Football Manager, but wish you could dive in and have some sort of effect on the in-game result, but are also the type of player who gets frustrated by the weird Simcade experience of EA Football and wish there were a game that mixed arcade football with FFT this might be the game for you. I'll focus on the things I don't love: the game doesn't do a great job with onboarding new players. It's a little confusing (I still don't fully understand what all those numbers mean when attempting a cross or corner kick). You can be matched against a team that has a single player with a rainbow feint who'll waffle stomp the poop chutes of your previously unblemished defensive line, and there's nothing you can do about it if you don't have anyone with the one counter-ability that'll defend against it, and that feels especially frustrating. Similarly, you can get to a point in the 1st and 2nd years where you're in a no mans land between the initial "pretty decent but aging" starting players and getting your youth system/transfer players up and running where you're forced to just take 1-0 loss after 3-0 loss, and you have to hope your president is still understanding enough to not fire you. Injuries feel imbalanced, but I could be wrong there. Watching the opposing LW use his "break in" ability for the second time in a row thinking, "there's no way that could happen again," and then, yep, he dances past three defenders and gets fouled by the last guy again for a penalty kick the EXACT same way it happened last time - that sucks but I guess I learned a lesson. It feels as though you *must* run out a formation with at least five defenders against any halfway decent team, but it is fun to try different stuff. I do also wish the CPU would at least try to modify its tactics when my LM dribbles straight down the pitch to have an unblocked shot on goal three times in a row because they only fielded three defenders for some inane reason. All that said, it's a ton of fun for people who like sports, tactics games, and eking out wins against slightly better teams using your noggin and a few in-game talents. This probably isn't a game for the average EA FIFA card-collecting player, though I'd recommend it to a fairly narrow band of gaming enthusiast. If you're in that band, however, you'll probably love this game.
One of the most unique games out there when it comes to football. You can truly bond with players when you are starting from the bottom. You can create your own team and gameplay at times is RNG, but to be honest - football at times is also RNG. If you like chess, strategy and football - enjoy.
Le he dado varias oportunidades e incluso he comprado un DLC.
