Flix and Chill 2: Millennials

Flix and Chill 2 was very similar to its antecedent. There are 4 short stories. In each one you will play a different character and you will need to impress your “future better half” to end up being in a relationship. You will basically walk along the screen, enjoy the different stories and choose the right answers. I especially liked it that there were always the same characters. That gave you the feeling of every story playing in the same city and not just being random stories. Nevertheless, the game was way too easy. It was simple to find out the right answers to say. I did it every time on the first time. Flix and Chill 1 was challenging and you often failed. This one was a one-run game. Definitely fun though and totally worth the 1€.

This does a LOT to improve on the original game! At first I wasn't sold on the aesthetic changes. But I think it still maintained that unique look and charm of the original, while adding new life to the game. The chapters are short and sweet, but that only adds to the value! Since they can be rather short, it is fun to revisit them and make new choices. I appreciate the steps that Jason took to improve this game. He could have done a paint by the numbers sequel to cash in on the viral success of the first, but he really stepped things up here! It maintains a lot of the humor of the original, but I think there is actually some really strong social commentary in this game. It explores people's expectations, relationships, interactions, and more through a modern youthful lense. More in depth than you expected from a $1 follow up to a meme-game, eh?

Honestly, I love this game. It's ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ amazing and its achievements are simple to get. The art style is nice and the stories are easy to follow but not the typical kind. 4 stories available and it'll take you around 2 hours to unlock everything. Short but good! 10/10
