the vibe this game brings is something calm, soothing, but also exciting. I would recommend if you're a gamer that just had a stressful day and want some calmness
10/10
"Sometimes you just need to run away into the woods and talk to a stranger on a walkie-talkie." Firewatch is less of a traditional game and more of a playable story that grips you from the very opening sequence. The atmosphere is gorgeous, the voice acting between Henry and Delilah feels genuinely human, and the underlying sense of isolation and paranoia is handled brilliantly. It's short, but it stays with you long after the credits roll. 10/10 — Would get lost in the Wyoming wilderness again.

I know im late but this game is very... not done!!! I had seen this for years wanting to play it, never watched a full playthrough but heard amazing things, my expectations were NOT met!! So i have some extra money and decided to buy it, only for my experience to start with somehow having the objective 'answer the radio' glitched the whole time, and didnt notice until after i finished the game! it wasnt too annoying but i was wondering about it. I also did notice alot of spots in the map that seemed to be important or have cool secrets but were just empty areas lol, or when you find the kids camp and it seems like you can put the banner back together but youre missing one piece of it? the only times you are rewarded for that in ways that i found were the turtle and the raccoon, and maybe the elk/deer but that was in a main path(?). I also noticed you could adopt/save/confiscate the fireworks whiskey and turtle every day and just make them disappear, if you confiscate/save the liquor and fireworks they appear again down by the lake, lots of aspects of the game similar to that just make me go "who tested this??"! I was also worried about how many photos i took because i thought they mattered, only for them to entirely not, even though D encourages you to at like 2 different points in the game! and i do agree with the stories ending being very anti-climatic! I was invested on both characters seeming like they could go home and fix what they need to in life and come back to eachother, only for them just to wish eachother luck and most likely never see eachother again after an insanely memorable summer. not to mention the dementia-wife plot has 2 parts in the entire story and one is the beginning dialogue and the second is when he tells D about when she was diagnosed. It seems like that entire thing was less about his grief and more about complicating the story just to give them both problems. There was no ending! we got to see no resolution! i was so confused at the end thinking 'surely this cant be it, what was the POINT?'! I simply cannot find a point for this game! was it supposed to be a thriller mystery? a story about grief? a complicated summer love story? I could not pinpoint it at any time during the story because the narrative kept changing direction, and the story continuously made it seem like there would be some grand twist and scheme but the one they gave was so weak and was all for nothing, it wasnt about his wife, it wasnt about him and julia, it wasnt about him and D, or about ned, it seems to have just been a mystery story about a dead boy with a horrible father, because that was the most shocking/ surprising part. I kept getting disappointed or confused at plot points then forgiving the game thinking surely it would pay off in the end! it didnt! and i am very dissapointed in my waste of 20$, Overall very unfinished, with no reward at the very end, or resolution, other than the immediate plot being resolved about all the things happening around the place, wasting the summer love story, the dementia grief story, and even the reveal of the kid was shocking but lackluster as the ending doesnt resolve it or tell us how they handled it. The game is like walking down a hallway of doors and each one has nothing behind it, just a sign that says 'next door'! I just dont get how this game was seeming so decent for years to me, only for me to finally try it and it be super unpolished and seem UNFINISHED! I wish the game was finished, gave us an ending/resolution for d and henry, and julia, and the father, and the sons body, because there was none, and they never even played into the grief of his wife that much, i really thought that his wife maybe died and he was in denial, and that D wasnt real and henry was thinking it was julia but would find out its not and come to terms with his wifes death! She drew like julia, drank like her, and even was funny like her(all of these are speculated features from the beginning story dialogue) so i genuinely thought that there would be layers to this story, only for there to be 20 fake layers and one real layer at the beginning/end.
Ten years after release and launch problem still unsolved. Losers.
peak game made me cry
many fires, must watch
Orientación: insuficiente. Experiencia: sobresaliente. Veredicto: recomendado. Volveré.
ive tried to play this game about 3-4 times and im struggling to find a reason why i gave up so quickly on such a short and wonderful game. enjoyed most moments with this one, great voice acting, interesting plot, even though the mystery falls a little flat and the conclusion is a bit unsatisfying. a real must play i gotta say, if you want for a good game you can knock out in a span of a night. buy this ♥♥♥♥. played in driffield.
damn i was hoping to meet delilah in person
