Клятий шедевр.
Firewatch has good dialogue, the characters Delilah and Henry are great characters. But that is not enough to make a game. A video game needs something, I don't mind what it is. Could be a story, could be exploration, could be an open world, could be a challenge, could be puzzles, anything. Firewatch as a piece of media asks a lot of questions. That can be a good thing. But when media asks more questions than it answers - that's lazy. Lazy and unfinished are the key feelings this game gave me. Apparently the studio ran out of money making firewatch and it shows. I havn't refunded, these devs can make a pretty landscape and I wish them the best with their next project. But firewatch could've been a short book, a crappy one at that. There was no need for this to be a video game. The whole game is a tease, an edge. It's cheap and falls flat. I get that the point is for there not to be some big unravelling conspiracy - but even if you avoid that, give us something? But if you're not going to give your game a story, why not add gameplay either? It's a linear gated walking simulator with no redeeming gameplay whatsoever. I really do not comprehend what I am missing. Wish I could get those 3 hours back. Please go and play Outer Wilds or Expedition 33 instead.

Firewatch is the perfect blend of breathtaking visuals, catchy story and relaxing atmosphere. I have to say that I enjoyed every second playing this game.
this game made me cry on many different ocasions. beautifully written though the ending left me wondering if ill be the same person that i was before trying it
Awesome short experience. 8/10. Originally I watched a youtuber's playthrough in 2019, then I played about halfway through the game on console back in 2022. So then, I thought, what better time to beat the game than in summer? What an emotional experience it was. The game is really calm and relaxing, but can get surprisingly creepy at times. Also, it has great voice acting. For all those reasons, I consider this game to be classic to me. However, there is a movement bug where you can't walk unless you enable V-Sync and change your Refresh Rate to 120-144hz to fix it apparently. That's what I saw online, and it's what worked for me.
I don't care if the plot is a little holey. I liked it. Sue me.
