Modeled estimate, not a reported figure. How we estimate →
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

The second FF game i ever beaten back around summer 2000 and first time i ever stayed up all night until sunrise locked in. The game is great and i understand the Junction system is what turned many away from it and honestly thought this game deserved the remake and a second chance at life since it would of been nice to have way more time as a seed and more in depth involving early game.
This is great and I loved slamming on all the boosters to play a little game I like to call "Squall and Quistis double limit break apocalypse" - refusing to let enemies get a turn and just pummelling them to my heart's content - but it does grind my gears that we have these new, incongruous character models foisted upon us. That's not Squall. That's a strange little man. That, alongside some other ugly graphical issues, make this a bit of a sub-par way to play this game, but it's fine. It's good. I love junctioning <3 But I hate fake Squall </3

14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 2.33/day in the week to Aug 4 → 2.71/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Recomendo a experiência.
I came into this game with all the bad feelings of the fandom in mind, my favourite ff game being 13 i was ready for anything since 13 is also widely hated on. And at first i thought this game was bad, the intro is nothing special, probably the most boring and uneventful intro of the entire franchise. But once you understand the junction system everything starts to click. FINAL FANTASY VIII is a game for teenagers, and i'm so glad i played it when i did. Rinoa and Squall's relationship felt forced and cliché at first, little did i know i would cry
during the whole space section especially when the music started to play inside ragnarok
. The more i think about this game the more i love it. FF8 is a mid game, it tries many different things and everything it does, it does well. Not exceptionally well, but not bad either, ff8 is what jrpg is to me, and i will forever cherish it, so please give it a try.
It is just a good Final Fantasy game that came out between to great games.
Top 5 FF game of all time, play it!
I have had 2 people in my life tell me FF8 is the best of them all and I don't understand why, it's just so random and full of nothing, other than the music I cant find anything that's good about this game. what got me to quit was trying to find Bamba. I have been sailing around the whooooole map for about an hour and went into every site on the map and I just cant find it, its crazy because I have been there before but now it just seems like its not on that green continent anymore idk. The junction system makes no sense and I am never strong enough to actually use it properly unless I sit there running in circles for hours fighting the same thing so combat was me spamming the summons and magic. This one is gonna get me some hate but the characters are just boring and nothing happens to them (at least in the first half), no one compliments each other and they are all just insane and stupid, it literally feels like I am babysitting them when I play as these characters. And the worst of all is the story, Its the most random rubbish story I have ever seen and there's always something happening for the reason of what feels like padding. Technical issues such as the mouse cursor not hiding sometimes, crashing causing me to lose progress, the stupid launcher that serves no purpose, and the very blurry backgrounds I don't count as this is a old game being ported and wouldn't be fair.
Que puedo decir... Nunca encontraba el momento perfecto para compararlo con el FF7 pero después de finalizarlo, puedo decir que no tiene nada que envidiar a su hermano mayor. En definitiva. TREMENDO TITULO!
