Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
About

Ivalice—a kingdom blessed by the light of the gods and ruled by the Two-headed Lion. A year after her defeat to Ordallia in the Fifty Years' War, the king succumbed to malady, leaving a mere boy of two to ascend the throne.
Whoever was named regent would rule in truth, and thus emerged two rival candidates: dukes Goltanna and Larg, whose deeds during the war had earned them great renown. Goltanna the Black Lion and Larg the White Lion were destined to clash, and the resulting conflict would come to be known as the War of the Lions.
Against this backdrop appear Ramza, third son of House Beoulve, one of Ivalice's leading military families, and his childhood companion Delita, a commoner raised amongst nobles. As they endeavor to chart a course through this tumultuous age, a mighty current draws them ever closer to the abyss.

Lead your party in exhilarating encounters where strategic positioning and forward planning determine the outcome. Use the varied terrain of 3D battlefields to your advantage, skillfully manipulate the turn order, and victory will be yours for the taking.

Combine a wide variety of jobs and abilities to craft your very own strategies.
As your party members grow, they will gain access to more jobs, each with its own unique abilities. Once learned, abilities can be used even after changing to another job. With over 20 jobs to master—including white mage, black mage, dragoon, and many others from the FINAL FANTASY series—and hundreds of abilities to learn, you have the freedom to experiment and discover the combinations that best suit your party. Chocobos and other creatures can also be tamed and led into battle.

With improved graphics, fully voiced dialogue, and refined gameplay, the enhanced version provides the perfect way to immerse yourself in the world of Ivalice. Along with the fine-tuning of several features and battle mechanics, the inclusion of the more accessible "Squire" difficulty setting makes the enhanced version an excellent starting point for first-time players.
The classic version unites the graphics and gameplay of the original 1997 version with the renowned War of the Lions translation for a unique way to experience this beloved title.
The Enhanced version of the game supports a wide variety of controller options.
It also supports keyboard and mouse controls.
The Classic version of the game only supports XInput controllers.
Keyboard controls are also supported, but mouse controls are not supported.

The original FFT is what any other "tactics" game is compared to. This is a true to the original remake. However, it misses the WOTL content and has no multiplayer which are major drawbacks. PROS: -One of the best board-style strategy games ever made. -Excellent voice acting -True to the original but with many QoL improvements -Job engine allows for user defined builds and promotes changing jobs numerous times as you play the game. This encourages varying party structures and avoids the party from getting repetitive or stagnant. -Numerous viable builds. -Complex story with excellent lore features (including a "state of the kingdom" map that allows you to follow it all). NEUTRAL: -NG+ doesn't seem to have any changes and story missions don't scale -Difficulty options are just +dmg modifiers; again no thought into it -"Errands" seem to serve no real purpose (other than a tiny bit of gold/JP). The Artefacts/Locations you discover do nothing. CONS: -Despite being an incredible game engine for multiplayer, there is still no multiplayer :( -The dialogue and story components are a bit lengthy at times and replay each time you retry a mission. You can "fast forward" it but you can't outright skip it which is a little annoying. -Evade/parry chance gets to be ridiculous towards the endgame. -Class balance isn't great. There are clearly better and worse classes, though there are still a number of viable options. -"Level" serves little purpose as enemies scale to your characters level. -There is no reason to master classes beyond the specific skills you need for your build. Despite this, you'll still change jobs a fair bit to unlock the jobs that have hte abilities you desire.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Same day: best CA #59, worst AU #92 · 9 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.67/day in the week to Aug 5 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 23 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 14 places towards #1, and the 2,420 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

good game
i have loved this game since 1997 and will always come back to it. training your group to unlock new Classes and skills have been the games i love the most! anyone that enjoys top-down view of the map and moving your units to advance your strategies this is the game for you!
I'm pretty bad at this game but I'm still having fun.
Still legendary. The way it held up and was remastered with such great QoL detail and care, it is one of THE games top 3 that I could think of over the years and wish it could get some modern love and a new release. A lot of things get shelved to never see the light of day beyond emulation. Would recommend to anyone new to the genre or familiar, the tactician mode was another welcome addition that made the adventure just so easy and fun to dive back in as a returning player. Great bones and mechanics here, would love to see more. Could be in this 2.5 style or even more modernized; attached or a new story, place or time all together. With the ofc the big ask being some coop or pvp. Will certainly be checking out the NG+ soon, a sincere thank you to all of those involved from the past and present truly.
This game's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ classic, but for both good and bad. Despite how much I like it, I shall try to be as fair and unbiased as I can with this. And as I usually do with reviews, I'll begin with the bad. It's infamous at this point that the original Final Fantasy Tactics was brutal in difficulty, and the PSP remake followed suit on that. When I saw that the game was getting another remake, I had expected that some of the more egregious difficulty spikes that border on gamebreaking would be balanced out, but... No? This game is still just as brutal, it just has an actual option to get back to the world map if you get stuck on an unbeatable situation, which the PS1 and PSP versions did not. I'm gonna be honest here, as much as I love challenges, there's more than just a handful of bosses here that are unbeatable unless you cheese them in some way - and definitely not beatable if you go in blind. Sure, it's cool that retrying a boss is faster now, but bashing your head against a wall until you get lucky enough to find the one strategy that works doesn't sound like a strategy game to me, but a puzzle game instead. Enemies in the lategame also tend to have hyper inflation running in their healthbars, everyone's a gigatank with twice the HP you could realistically get. The other only negative is, honestly, the weird decisions between the previous two editions. When it was announced that this game would use the base game first and only add things from War of the Lions - the PSP one - when necessary, it felt wrong. Sure, the extra cameo characters in the PSP are lore-breaking and should go, but the classes as well? Mime, Dark Knight, all of 'em gone. The cutscenes from War of the Lion, which looked so damn gorgeous? War of the Lions had about 25 minutes of cutscenes, this version only keeps like 3 of them. It feels wrong to take only a couple things and leave so much of the good ♥♥♥♥ behind. And I guess the Final Fantasy VII cameos feel as handfisted as they did back in the day, no fixing that. But leaving those two complains, what's left in here? An honestly amazing turn-based RPG/Strategy game, from start to finish. This game's a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ classic and deservingly so. Gameplay-wise, while the game is challenging, it does give a massive amount of freedom to the player. Sure, I'd love to field up to six units rather than five, I'd love to have more classes, but with the amount already there you can go and build whatever nonsense you want. Lots of equipment, lots of accessories, tons of skills to learn. Many reviews skip on the audio department, but I don't: the music is amazing, and props go to the new voice-actors. The War of the Lions version only had voices in cutscenes, but here? Everyone's voiced, and nobody sounds out of place. I'm sure glad the graphics have kept their style. From up-close and with a big monitor, some of the sprites do look like they're hand-made drawings more than videogame sprites, if that makes any sense, but I'm sure as f#ck glad the audio synching issues from War of the Lions are fixed in here - back then, the effects from spells and such tanked performance for a second, leaving the audio running at normal speed. Lastly, the new quality of life additions in here? Great, f#cking love 'em. Skipping random encounters, speeding up stuff, going back to the world map to retry stuff, surprised the PSP one did not have any of that stuff. If only this version would let us kill Argath a couple more times, I don't think he's learned his lesson yet. Overall, do I recommend it? Hell yeah! But wait for a sale, the base price is a bit steep. While the game has a slow start, it really picks up. Hope ya enjoy medieval politics. TL:DR Edition: A very faithful remake of the original PS1 game, borrowing very little from the old PSP remake. Game is brutal in difficulty and enemies have way too much health in the lategame, but overall? A ton of fun.
Its fun
