Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
About

Ivalice—a kingdom blessed by the light of the gods and ruled by the Two-headed Lion. A year after her defeat to Ordallia in the Fifty Years' War, the king succumbed to malady, leaving a mere boy of two to ascend the throne.
Whoever was named regent would rule in truth, and thus emerged two rival candidates: dukes Goltanna and Larg, whose deeds during the war had earned them great renown. Goltanna the Black Lion and Larg the White Lion were destined to clash, and the resulting conflict would come to be known as the War of the Lions.
Against this backdrop appear Ramza, third son of House Beoulve, one of Ivalice's leading military families, and his childhood companion Delita, a commoner raised amongst nobles. As they endeavor to chart a course through this tumultuous age, a mighty current draws them ever closer to the abyss.

Lead your party in exhilarating encounters where strategic positioning and forward planning determine the outcome. Use the varied terrain of 3D battlefields to your advantage, skillfully manipulate the turn order, and victory will be yours for the taking.

Combine a wide variety of jobs and abilities to craft your very own strategies.
As your party members grow, they will gain access to more jobs, each with its own unique abilities. Once learned, abilities can be used even after changing to another job. With over 20 jobs to master—including white mage, black mage, dragoon, and many others from the FINAL FANTASY series—and hundreds of abilities to learn, you have the freedom to experiment and discover the combinations that best suit your party. Chocobos and other creatures can also be tamed and led into battle.

With improved graphics, fully voiced dialogue, and refined gameplay, the enhanced version provides the perfect way to immerse yourself in the world of Ivalice. Along with the fine-tuning of several features and battle mechanics, the inclusion of the more accessible "Squire" difficulty setting makes the enhanced version an excellent starting point for first-time players.
The classic version unites the graphics and gameplay of the original 1997 version with the renowned War of the Lions translation for a unique way to experience this beloved title.
The Enhanced version of the game supports a wide variety of controller options.
It also supports keyboard and mouse controls.
The Classic version of the game only supports XInput controllers.
Keyboard controls are also supported, but mouse controls are not supported.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Same day: best CA #59, worst AU #92 · 9 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.67/day in the week to Aug 5 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,419 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

A phenomenal game with a dramatic story that'll sink its hooks deep into you. Ramza's development throughout the entire game is impressive. It's unfortunate that other characters don't get as much once they become optional battle members, but that's the nature of the way this genre. There should also be an option to have story battles scale up if you do late-game grinding like with Midlight's Deep. Barely got to see any mechanics for the final few fights. Still, I love this game and my entire time playing it. That's why I 100%'d it. Now all we need is Vagrant Story to finish out all the Matsuno Ivalice games.
a game that will go down in my list as a 10/10. a really thought out story thats just simplay a masterpiece and engaging all the way too the end. all of the voice acting brought everything to life, the combat and the amount of party building in this game was fun to even menu in and create combinations of jobs. truly a 10/10 game
Somehow I never wrote a review for this. I love this game quite a bit and of all Final Fantasy games I would put it in my top 3 and a strong contender for number one. FFT is one of the great kings of Strategy RPGs, not necessarily the peak in it's genre- but an exemplar for not just the genre but for all RPGs. The meme is that this is is the best Final Fantasy game, and it honestly kind of is. The story and soundtrack are both excellent and the game systems have depth and are rewarding. TIC updates the game with enhanced visuals and sound, as well as quality voice acting and a couple of balance updates to the original. This is the definitive way to experience FFT. The only bad things I can think to say is that the game balance can be all over the place and that certain game systems will appear obtuse to the more casual audience. The game is more difficult at the beginning than at the end, and has some very well known difficulty spikes that soft bricked save files for many people in the 90s. And of course the class balance also holds issues as well, some classes/characters are just better than others. But I think those are small gripes from someone who has played this 40-100ish hour long game over a dozen times now. TIC is the best release of this game to date, and only really doesn't compete on a gameplay level with balance mods that add all the PSP FFT's content to the original PSX release. So idk you read this much, buy it and play it. It's worth it. Job system. jingle jangle. Crunchy SRPG with a good story. Jingle Jangle. Play it.
better than the OG ! Work great on the steam DECK and PC
This appears to be a re-release of a much older game with someone updated graphics. Frankly it's just dumb. The constant marching in place of every figure is just so amateurish, the terrain makes targeting very difficult, resulting in my rotating around considerably to try and click on the location I really want to click on. Navigating the learn skills/abilities/jobs is annoying for one avatar, so having to do it for a dozen avatars is just incredibly tedious.
Excellent remaster! The voice acting is on par with the already great dialogue. The extra options are all good, with a fast forward key that is welcome and in no way deters from enjoying the game, it just eases the game along. I'm usually very touchy with visual overhauls but that's also done in good taste, excluding a very annoying filter you can't disable without mods, but it's no big deal and you can play with the original visuals anyhow. With the game itself, I have gripes. I don't think I can put them all in order here and, besides, it's probably all been said already. Some scrambled thoughts: -The game is very plot forward with very little room to breathe outside of it. Side quests come late and are scarce, so if you want to get some extra job levelling you'll have to fight flavourless map encounters. -There's some unfair fights/situations and you'll probably have to do a bit of grinding at some point or have to repeat some fights to prepare better. Grinding is less than ideal because of the previous mentioned issue. -The dialogue is great, as I've already said, but I feel like the story is not up there with it. It's a perfectly fine, interesting story, mind you, I just felt like it kept the dialogue from achieving its full potential. By the end of it there's just too many (excellently written) long conversations during fights repeating the same conflicts and themes. -The game offers you a lot of special characters that are usually better than whatever team of random party members you were progressing towards, making those obsolete. You could always ignore the special teammates, of course, but I feel the game is balanced around their use for the kind of smoother progression I personally find more enjoyable. It's still fun to put them to use. -The default camera is probably the worst setting for it. I always zoom out and change the view to be closer to overhead at the start of every fight but it never saves the setting. -I can't be arsed with the Bravery/Faith system. It just feels vestigial and makes special characters stick above the rest even more. -I appreciate the perma-death mechanic, it brings a tension to fights that I enjoy, but early on it felt a bit too harsh, though not very hard. Later on it's no big deal though I'd say it's undercooked as a mechanic. -There's decent enemy variety but the game doesn't take full advantage of it. This one is just a nitpick really, the fights have enough variety, but there's so many underused monsters, jobs, spells and even equipment. The lack of side content strikes again. That's all I care to write. There's a lot of positives I could easily mention but this is a positive review after all, so I just wanted to bring up some stuff I didn't gel with. It's a great game! I specially recommend it if you like this brand of tactics rpgs as much as I do.
