Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Charts
Each storefront's own chart, in its own country — the closest public signal to sales where none is published. A country missing from a list is one we don't collect there, not one where the game doesn't chart.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.
About

Ivalice—a kingdom blessed by the light of the gods and ruled by the Two-headed Lion. A year after her defeat to Ordallia in the Fifty Years' War, the king succumbed to malady, leaving a mere boy of two to ascend the throne.
Whoever was named regent would rule in truth, and thus emerged two rival candidates: dukes Goltanna and Larg, whose deeds during the war had earned them great renown. Goltanna the Black Lion and Larg the White Lion were destined to clash, and the resulting conflict would come to be known as the War of the Lions.
Against this backdrop appear Ramza, third son of House Beoulve, one of Ivalice's leading military families, and his childhood companion Delita, a commoner raised amongst nobles. As they endeavor to chart a course through this tumultuous age, a mighty current draws them ever closer to the abyss.

Lead your party in exhilarating encounters where strategic positioning and forward planning determine the outcome. Use the varied terrain of 3D battlefields to your advantage, skillfully manipulate the turn order, and victory will be yours for the taking.

Combine a wide variety of jobs and abilities to craft your very own strategies.
As your party members grow, they will gain access to more jobs, each with its own unique abilities. Once learned, abilities can be used even after changing to another job. With over 20 jobs to master—including white mage, black mage, dragoon, and many others from the FINAL FANTASY series—and hundreds of abilities to learn, you have the freedom to experiment and discover the combinations that best suit your party. Chocobos and other creatures can also be tamed and led into battle.

With improved graphics, fully voiced dialogue, and refined gameplay, the enhanced version provides the perfect way to immerse yourself in the world of Ivalice. Along with the fine-tuning of several features and battle mechanics, the inclusion of the more accessible "Squire" difficulty setting makes the enhanced version an excellent starting point for first-time players.
The classic version unites the graphics and gameplay of the original 1997 version with the renowned War of the Lions translation for a unique way to experience this beloved title.
The Enhanced version of the game supports a wide variety of controller options.
It also supports keyboard and mouse controls.
The Classic version of the game only supports XInput controllers.
Keyboard controls are also supported, but mouse controls are not supported.

14 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
14 on sale1 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 1 “not sold” market is read from the Steam price pass of Aug 20: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price there. The 14 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Same day: best CA #59, worst AU #92 · 9 markets collected
US · last 30 days
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 3.67/day in the week to Aug 5 → 5.29/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Brazil over the last 30 days: the 24 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 9 places towards #1, and the 2,404 moves with no price cut behind them went 2 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Played through the game twice on tactician difficulty and if you're a veteran of the original game you know all the good combos, then tactician difficulty is worth a buy on it's own so this review is for people who played the original game dozens of times. Enemies on tactician hit stupidly hard, 2-3 shotting you depending on the enemy to the point that it feels almost unfair, bosses like Wiegraf can wipeout half your party in the first turn, but there are defensive combos that can make you nearly invincible like 50% dodge rate or 90% physical dodge so they have to make you sweat somehow since the enemies are still often basic units that don't do anything too complicated. Or equipment you can use to nullify status effects or element types used in a battle. You have to pay attention to positioning more, like moving a unit just 1 square outside of their movement range so you can hit them with a spell without getting countered. You will need to use everything to get past some battles and I find that really rewarding. Of course, you can also just grind to level 99 to cheese the difficulty, at which point why not just play the game on easy and save some time? You will still need to not use Orlandeau if you want to preserve any late game challenge even on tactician. As far as the remastering quality goes, the voice acting is top notch and I would also say it is worth the buy on it's own and it really brings the story to life. I like the way they updated the graphics while keeping the spirit of the original game and the sprites have a paper like texture to them too which I really like. There's also an effect on the battlefield where things look like miniatures which is a nice touch. The music is the same as the original and not updated at all because it's perfect and stands the test of time. The script is updated and the language is VERY elevated so I had to look up words a few times here and there, but I enjoyed it a lot. There ARE some gameplay tweaks from the original, but it's hard to notice unless you look up what they are. Somethings are that teleport costs a LOT more so if you want that ability you will need to spend more time as a Time Mage if you want to keep story progress going without stopping to grind. And there is no gendered calculations for Zodiac sign bonuses. And Aim is a little less useless with the charge time being heavily reduced. There are some quality of life updates here too like notifications on new errands, items and rumors. Tracking the weird secret side quests on the map. The biggest improvement is the fast-forward on battle speed so you're not sitting around waiting for the enemy to slowly make their move. I almost had it permanently on even on my own turns and you can skip cutscenes if you've been there and done that. What I do find game breaking is being able to skip random battles, it takes away the risk for traveling back to somewhere to buy that equipment upgrade and completely makes running errands risk free. You can self impose the challenge of not skipping it however. And big spoilers for the ending
they did tweak the ending slightly to not be as ambiguous as the original and I really liked that a lot. The original ending had a plot hole in how Ramza and Alma survive or if they survived at all, which makes you wonder if what Orran saw were just his imagination, like he saw ghosts. There is a voiceline added just before Ultima's defeat where Ramza prays to the Zodiac stones for help before the explosion that we assume kills him in the original, making use of the idea that the stones can be used for good from the Marach subplot. There is also an ending cutscene that also spells out what Ramza and Alma go on to do, further solidifying that they survived. The ending is much cleaner and satisfying rather than abrupt like the PS1 original. Orran still dies pointlessly off screen in the epilogue though, it's still weird here lol.
Overall, this is the definitive version of the game for me and a good version of this game is finally on modern systems.
Recentemente, a Square-Enix adicionou o modo "New Games +". Outro erro grave!
E sento già i fanboy come pickleton "ma basta attendere i saldi, no?" Buona l'aggiunta di quality of life e dei checkpoint.
Worth every penny, this remake did the game immense justice and they have added significant QoL improvements since launch.
