Prices
Each in the currency that store quoted — not converted: the gap between two rows is the publisher's pricing, not an exchange rate.
Availability
We put this game to every storefront we collect. A market that answered not sold has told us something about the game; a market we never asked has not, and the two are never drawn the same.
Discounts
Every price cut of more than 20% we have observed, in each market that quoted one, with this game's chart position on either side of it. These are episodes, not a model: a sale is one event, and one event cannot tell you what the next one will do.

Reviews
This game will always be an oldie but a goodie
Easily my favorite Final Fantasy and the first video game that made me cry. Going back through it after playing its predecessors and just growing up, really made me appreciate the story, character development, gameplay and the layers of nuance and symbolism of the Crystals. On the surface, it seems like a child-like story book Final Fantasy that, to some people, is a breath of fresh air after Final Fantasy VIII, or a step back from Final Fantasy VII or VIII, but it honestly does what any sequel and/or any Final Fantasy should do and that is build on and refine what came before AND give a fresh experience! The only issue with this version is how sterile the font and menu windows feel but that's the biggest problem with Square Enix remasters of the classics. If you love the classic NIntendo era Final Fantasies, combined with the presentation and innovations of the Playstation era with a story book style existentialist Fantasy, then Final Fantasy IX is the game for you! Just remember that some of the key parts of the lore are only going to make sense through the environment and the cutscenes. Only reason I say that is I've read so many comments that misunderstand important elements because no one really read super deep into it. I also MUST emphasize playing the game as intended back in the day to truly appreciate it. Only use the boosters if you don't think it'll interfere with the balance. Learn the ATB systems and mechanics. Anyway, sorry for being so long winded here! Hope those new to this game will enjoy an RPG that is very near and dear to my heart and cemented Final Fantasy as one of my favorite franchises of all time and Hironobu Sakaguchi and Hiroyuki Ito as two of my favorite game devs of all time!

13 of 15 markets; the rest we haven't asked for this title, not markets where it is unavailable.
13 on sale2 answered “not sold”0 we did not ask
The 2 “not sold” markets are read from the Steam price pass of Sep 13: that day the store answered for this game elsewhere and gave no price in those. The 13 priced markets are the same rows as the table above — each the latest price we hold, dated here when it is older than that pass. The 0 marked “not asked” were not put to this store at all — either it has no storefront there or we do not collect it yet, and neither is a statement about the game. A refusal is a refusal on one day; a store can list a title again tomorrow.
Reviews, worldwide (the counter carries no country): 4.11/day in the week to Aug 4 → 4.43/day in the week after.
For scale, across Steam · Top Sellers · Poland over the last 30 days: the 21 chart moves that followed a price cut of more than 20% went a median of 12 places towards #1, and the 2,501 moves with no price cut behind them went 1 away. One store, one chart, one country — it is the only place we have enough observations to say even that.
Prices outside the United States have been collected since 6 August 2026 and chart positions since 19 July 2026, so a cut older than that has no market to compare and a market that joined later has no history yet. Nothing here is converted between currencies.

Lots of chocobos, moogles, and airships. Stunning visuals when using moguri mod to turn environments into HD.
